2 Yes

"Finally." I muttered as I placed the last item in my suitcase and locked it.

I suddenly craved milk and cookies so I went downstairs to get them.

Yesterday, I had the last academic classes for my grade and said a grateful heartfelt goodbye to my tutors. Honestly, I am going to miss them. They are such nice people that you would feel comfortable around.

Promotion examinations took a tough toll on me this month. I am glad I took my classes seriously and happy I have the best tutors ever.

"Greetings, Sensei." I ran into Mr. Chi Fu and greets him. I guess I will be seeing him once in a while.

Coincidentally, he happens to have a three-year vacation in California.

I went shopping with Ashley yesterday, I had to get some necessary supplies and took the chance to have a happy-go shopping with a friend. It is fun to go jewelry shopping with someone with exquisite taste. It was a buy, buy, buy, swipe, swipe, swipe day but every buy and swipe was totally worth it. We went to the amusement park, trust me when I say it was a zing. The thrill from the roller coasters never gets old. Yeah, the haunted house too, it was hilarious watching Ashley scream her throat out at the scare actor's faces. It was not so scary for me, it was rather exhilarating for all I saw were young ladies and men with painted bodies making hilarious faces and awkward movements. Funny, isn't it? but I do admit those creepy crawlies looked real.

We took pictures in the photo booth and had ice cream.

I had so much fun yesterday and it is no joke that I will miss Ashley. She spent her time with me longer than usual yesterday. She claimed she didn't know when we would next meet, weirdo haha.

She gave me a long hug before she left, the warmth from her hug yesterday still lingers, and I would miss her.

I did my dishes and went back to my room.

There are still a few minutes before we leave for the airport so I decided to lay my edges.

"Ding Dong." the doorbell rang.

I opened my door and there stood the Butler.

"Good morning miss, Mr. Jordan requests you come downstairs, it is time to go." He said adjusting his glasses.

"Good morning sir, I will be downstairs in a minute," I said, giving him a warm smile.

"Lovely noon Father," I greeted genuflecting comically.

"Lovely noon daughter" He replied, chuckling gently.

"It is important to be time conscious, we don't want to miss our flight so let's get going." He continued as he walked towards the door with his suitcase.

"Yes, Father." I replied following suit.

It was a rather long drive to the airport, what a bore. I already miss my fluffy bed.

Orly Airport,

Paris,

August 20,

Present day.

It is quite sunny today but I love the cool atmosphere at the airport.

We checked in, got our luggage checked, and went through some security inspections. Our Ditijah Jet Airway flight 9B 742 was scheduled to leave at 12:40 PM.

It was pretty fast so we waited in our seats till our names were announced.

We were greeted with soothing music and offered a variety of beverages as we were led to our seats. The seats were like a mini-room cocoon with a recliner, very convenient. Pajamas, flip flops, soft full-size pillows, exclusive pillow mists, fresh meals on demand, and lots of entertainment options with premium audio and videos. The exclusive experience you get when you are a first-class traveler.

"Ladies and Gentlemen welcome aboard. The local time is 12:40 PM. For your safety and the safety of those around you, please remain seated with your seat belt fastened, your tray table is stowed, and your seat is in the upright position. Thank you for choosing to fly with us today." the hostess announced.

In a few minutes, the plane took off. I love this feeling, it never gets old. I am "defying gravity" right in your face EARTH.

I took a quick tour around the cabin and had a few snacks while watching a movie on the enormous video screen with the noise-canceling headphones provided in the cabin.

I took bathroom breaks, slept, and woke up in time for dinner.

The hostess offered me the menu. I decided to have braised barramundi and a glass of fruit wine.

I took a shower and slept till the plane landed.

We got off the plane and lodged in a hotel we reserved earlier to rest. Everyone was jet lagged so it was necessary.

A few days later.

"Good morning Dad." I said giving him a light hug.

"Good morning Raven." He said returning the hug warmly.

"Raven, I will be leaving for Scotland in a few hours so I have to go to the airport." My Dad said.

" I've made some arrangements with Mr.Chi Fu. You will be meeting him at Gordon's gym on the weekend for your training." He continued.

Yes, Dad. I replied lazily.

"Your Mom will get you at noon, get prepared and be a good young lady." He said ruffling my hair.

"Daddd, how do you want me to save face when you ruffle my hair like this." I said faking an aggrieved face.

"Hahaha." My dad laughed heartily and pulled my cheeks.

"Dad, when will you be back?" I suddenly asked.

"You will be enrolled in a school here in California. I have a packed schedule and I'm afraid I would not be back till next year." He replied succinctly.

I did not know what to say so I just nodded and hugged him.

I have mixed feelings at present so I do not know what exactly to feel.

We spent the next few hours together. We played games, went shopping, and went to the park before he left.

...

My eyes subconsciously reddened as I lay on my bed looking at the pictures we took earlier.

He looked happier at the beginning, but the last pictures looked rather stiff. I have never been away from my Dad so I feel sad. I feel a little better at the thought of getting to meet my mom in half an hour.

I'm certainly excited about the fact that I will be enrolled in a school.

No more homeschooling, isn't that a miracle?

I smiled as I imagined myself in a school uniform. Oh my goodness, I am about to start living the life I have always dreamt of.

I freshened up and packed my luggage. I decided to play games while I waited for my mom.

"Krinnn krinnn". The room telephone rang.

I answered the call and was told someone who claimed she was a family member wanted to meet me.

I told the receptionist I will be at the reception in a few minutes.

"That's my mom." I thought excitedly.

"How do I look." I thought as I took a quick look in the mirror.

I'm meeting her in person today and the least I can do is look good.

Poise and grace Raven, I muttered taking a deep breath.

I was at the reception in a few minutes.

The receptionist read out her name to me to confirm her identity. After confirming, she took me to a lounge and took her to leave.

I walked up to my mom and gave her a brief hug.

"Hello mum." I said barely containing my excitement.

"Raven my dear." she said in a slow, heavy tone and pulled me back into a long hug.

I felt a liquid drop on my neck.

"Mom, are you crying?" I asked in concern.

"No, I am just really excited." She replied in a shaky voice.

"Don't cry mom." I said, patting her back.

"Who said I was crying, something just got in my eye." she said sniffing a little.

"Yes, mom, something got in your eye," I said, chuckling.

After the whole reunion, I checked out of the hotel, and voila, on my way to a new home.

We spent the whole ride talking about random things but learning about each other in the process.

It was the smoothest bonding ever and I hope this lasts for a long time.

I know we have only spent a few hours together but I feel sort of complete…. Like an unnoticed space inside my chest is filled and that is so satisfying.
