Chapter Sixty-Two

  'Have you ever been in love?'

That was quite a loaded question that flowed out of Leodocus' perfect lips. Xan was no doubt caught completely off guard, she thought she was going to get some answers as to what this connection between them meant but instead, he hits her with this bombshell.

This wasn't something that came easy for Xanthippeia to confront because in her eighteen years on this earth she's only ever had two serious relationships (or what could be considered serious as a teenager). The first had been with a German exchange student when she was sixteen, he'd taken to her the easiest out of everyone in school and they spent a large chunk of time together. In all honestly, Xan would categorize that one as nothing but puppy love because after said boy seemed comfortable in the country and his school he started having quite the wandering eyes…and hands of course.
