Chapter One Hundred Sixty-One

This was the definition of an awkward moment, two parents, two friends and two lovers all sitting in a quiet room staring at each other not saying a word after a ton of information had been dumped. For the immortals in the room all that filled the air was anxiety about the coming questions that were on the tips of tongues. And for the humans in the rooms were the burning questions of why this big man was sitting here, covered in blood and looking like he was from another century.

"So I know this might not be like the big question but Xany, this is the guy you went out of town with?" Quinton asked turning all eyes on him. Xan tightened her locked hands with Leo and gave her friend a smile.

"Yeah, this is him and I didn't actually go out of town. We came here for a couple of days."

"But you were only gone for the night—"

"You lied about spending the night at his house?!" her father piped up pointing his fingers between his daughter and her friend.
