Doubtful Artist

DOUBTFUL ARTIST

A small young girl cast a spell which will allow her to know if there's a danger around or if there's another person in the area. She noticed that other than her and her master there's also a young woman and it's not that far from them.

She was about to ignore the young woman but she sense danger from that area.

The small young girl sighs as she cast a magic to herself to be able to run fast.

The young woman that was sitting on the edge of the cliff just keep swinging her legs. She looked at the piece of papers that was on her side. There was a hint of sadness on her eyes as she sighed. She removed her gaze from the papers and just look in front. She tries to enjoy the view instead.

But as the young woman tries to do so, she heard a "bang!" sound. She trembled in fear as she realized that it was a sound of a gunshot.

She looked behind her only to see a lion's corpse. It's was not only an ordinary lion but it's a magical lion.

She quickly stood up and looked around her. She's trying to find where that gunshot came from and who saved her.

As she starts to search, someone suddenly appeared, saving her from the trouble on searching.

That person calmly walks to direction where the young woman was. Although, the person was walking calmly but the look of her face says otherwise. A small young girl looked at the young woman with a disappointed face. The young woman doesn't know if she should greet the small young girl or run.

"What the hell are you doing at the edge of the cliff alone?! Do you want to die?!" the small young girl shouted.

The young woman felt wronged. She just wants to enjoy the scenery to calm herself. Although she did thought of dying but she doesn't want to die now. Even of she were to choose where to die, it would absolutely not be that place!

That place has a beautiful scenery which could help people relax just by simply looking and staring at it. She doesn't want to ruined that image.

The small young girl sighs as she realized that there was no point in talking to that woman. She knows that she probably has her own reason.

Thus, she said : "Forget it. Just be careful next time. I don't want to hear my master screaming when he sees your dead body"

The woman was just about to say her thanks for saving her but the small girl already started to talk again.

"My master calls me Tak. How about you? Who are you?" she directly asked.

The young woman slightly smiled then bows, "Thank you for saving me. My name is Xia. Would there anything you'd like to have? I might be able to get it for you to show my gratitude "

The small girl named Tak ignored the last two sentences that Xia uttered. She instead focused her gaze at the piece of papers that was on the ground. Tak raised her brows in amusement as she saw the colorful paintings on the paper.

"Are you an artist?" Tak asked.

Xia stunned after she heard Tak's question. She blinked thrice before she realized what Tak asked. She immediately shook her head.

"No, no, no! I'm not!" she hurriedly denied.

"Then, what are those?" Tak pointed at the papers.

Xia heart began to throb fast. She began to become nervous. She hid the paper by blocking the view with her body. When she tried to do that, Tak frowned. Tak walks past Xia and picked up the papers.

"This is an art of an artist, why are you lying?" Tak once again asked as she showed the papers to Xia.

Xia looked away. "I... I have no right to become an artist" Xia quietly said.

"No right?" Tak asked in confusion.

"I'm not as talented as the other artist. I only draw for fun but I can not call myself an artist. I don't dare to..." Xia answered as her voice become more quieter.

Tak was still confused, "Talent?"

Xia doesn't know how to explain that her works could not compare to others.

But Tak doesn't really understand. Tak only knows that what she saw in the papers that she's holding are pieces of art that are beyond beautiful. She already saw a lot of paintings and drawings while she was traveling with her master. A lot of artworks already caught her attention and these are one of them.

"So... You are not an artist?" Tak tries to confirm.

Xia nod.

"Then, why not become an artist?" Tak asked as if it's the only solution.

Xia eyes grew wide in shock. A few seconds later, she bowed her head. She did thought of trying to become an artist but it was easier to be said than done.

"I heard only men and talented person could become an artist" Xia muttered.

Tak looked at her in disbelief. "Who said that?"

Xia was only about to answer but Tak continue to speak. "Anyone could become who they want. You know, the only one who's holding you to become an artist is yourself! What talent? As I see it, you already have one. Even if you don't, if you really want to become one then you should strive harder and practice harder. Don't you know that talent could actually be defeated by hardwork?"

Tak sighed as she shook her head in disappointment,"What you lack is not talent but confidence. Argh! I'm so disappointed! Whatever, I'm going back to where my master is"

Tak gave the papers to Xia before she walked away.

Xia even heard Tak say before leaving, "Why is it so hard to understand humans?"

Xia stared at Tak's back for a while then looked at the paper she was now holding. She felt that her face becomes wet. She realized that she was crying.

A young man lazily looked at the small young girl who was walking so weakly. The young man sighed.

"What took you so long? You know that you can't keep a human form that long!" The young man scolded.

The small young girl smiled before she transformed herself into a sniper.

"Hey, I met a stupid human earlier. She's really stupid" The small girl told him.

The young man shook his head as he picked her up. "Just rest, Tak. We still have a long way before we meet up with princess Lyian."

"Hmm! I know, Espe really miss the princess a lot" Tak weakly said before she completely fell asleep.
