8 Chapter 6

In the desolate city's night, only the clash of swords resonated. Eden battled the dungeon's final boss, a race against time. "Five minutes left," the timer warned. The adversary, a typical demon, stood before him. Its large red-skinned form resembled a robust human melded with a lizard, sporting a bear-like visage. Clad in black armor, it brandished a sword larger than its frame. [Sir, consider 'Fated Strike' to end this quickly.]

"No, I don't need to resort to cheating to defeat him," Eden affirmed. The Pit demon exhibited more wear than him. Though Eden bore shallow injuries, the demon's right hand was wounded in their last exchange, hampering its weapon's use. {Acceleration} {Jump} {Quick Time}, he cast all three spells simultaneously, charging at the demon. Acceleration boosted his speed for 10 seconds. Jump tripled his jump's reach, and Quick Time slowed his temporal perception. Leaping over the Pit Fiend, he invoked two more spells, {Air Pressure} and {Eldritch Blast}. The air restricted the demon's movement, followed by five energy beams homing in. While the demon blocked two with its blade, three struck true – one on its chin, two on its shoulders. Aligning for a decisive strike, Eden aimed for its face, infusing {Maximize Magic:Eldritch Smite} for a lethal blow. Fateweaver brimmed with energy, penetrating the demon's visage, which erupted seconds later.

"You see, Weaver, no need to cheat."

[Firstly, sir, employing your fate magic isn't cheating. Also, you executed it as a combo because you enjoy doing so.]

"What of it?"

After vanquishing the monster, a screen materialized: (Congratulations, you have defeated the Demon City Of Nightmares Dungeon, Reward 3,661,920 Renovation Credits, All gained loot moved to treasury)

Seeing how many RC he got he felt a tinge of satisfaction. RC was used to add special rooms to the mansion. For a couple months he had been saving up for a Renovation called The Gate which he did not really know what it did but thought it must be good. The treasure he got from the dungeon was also real and since he had been running dungeons since he was seven so along with his family wealth his personal wealth was almost infinite

Checking his status, everything seemed normal until he noticed a big change. "I've upgraded my Eldritch Magic to Divine," he said with a huge smile. Making a skill reach the Divine level was his main goal, the highest level of mastery in his status. The last level, called "Unique," was hard to get and the only way was to take the skill and make truly your own taking beyond the understanding of the gods of that subject.

"Exit Simulation," he said, and suddenly he was back in the stone room. Instead of teleporting to the Upper Mansion to shower and change into his school uniform, he decided to do it here since he knew the simulator layout well. He took out his phone from his inventory to check any messages he missed last night.

The first message was from his mother Mira Tsubakihara. She asked if he wanted to come over for dinner last night. Feeling bad for not replying earlier, he texted her an apology saying that he fell asleep after his gathering.

The next message, which was almost a whole paragraph, came from Amano. He was saying sorry for leaving while Eden talked to Tendou and asking when he should give Eden the games. After thinking for a bit, Eden messaged Amano back, telling him to come to his place for breakfast and to talk about everything.

Now he had two more things to deal with: Asia and the meeting with Rias. For Asia, since he decided to have breakfast with Amano, he sent a message to an unseen servant not to wake her up and to give her breakfast when she wakes up naturally. He left a note saying they'd meet for lunch. Lastly, he texted Hisato to come to his mansion around when school ends to drive him. With his plans set, he got into the shower.
