Having familiarized himself with Exliya, at daybreak they set out on foot towards Mika's abode, taking care to avoid arousing the Mulkums and tiger frogs.

Upon their arrival, they gained entry and found the premises to be in disarray, with objects scattered haphazardly about the room.

Even Lusina expressed disapproval at the untidiness of the space, which was at odds with Mika's purported fastidiousness.

"You rarely clean, don't you?" With her pale face and quivering eyes, Lusina even refused to allow herself to move forward within the room another step.

"Alright Alright." Mika acquiesced to clean as his eyes rolled.

Before cleaning the house, Mika quickly recalled, "Mister Sougo, you should shower. All that fishy stench from when I pushed you off a cliff and after you saved me is gonna make my room very smelly."

"You pushed him off... a cliff!?" Lusina was in disbelief, thinking she misheard something and that Mika pushed Sougo off a cliff because she wasn't there.

"Please, take no account of what I said earlier. I pushed him off with a reason that we got cornered. My plan was to deliberately get caught, and here we are." Mika explained that he did not shove him off without reason and that he had actually devised a strategy to rescue Lusina by deliberately getting himself captured.

Subsequently, Sougo proceeded to the bathroom located in close proximity to Mika's bedroom. Upon removing his attire, he ascertained that he had not sustained any mortal wounds, which the magical nature of this world seemed to have facilitated.

The shower area was conveniently situated adjacent to the shampoo and soap dispensers, making for a well-equipped bathroom. The toilet, which was formerly used while seated, was now used while crouching.

Mika used water for personal hygiene instead of toilet paper due to the availability of a jet shower. Meanwhile, Sougo took a warm shower, all the while contemplating his strange resurrection and inexplicable exile to Exliya.

The agony he experienced seemed surreal, with little discernible improvement in his condition. With these thoughts weighing on his mind, he then began to contemplate the possibility of dying once more and whether he would ever be reunited with his loved ones.

Half an hour later, Mika's room was squeaky clean with no books lying on the floor and his science tools were neatly arranged.

"What magic is this?" Sougo found it hard to believe Mika cleaned very fast considering it would take no less than an hour.

"Geez, you underestimate my cleanliness. Since no one but me was in my house, cleaning wasn't all that difficult; I was just being indolent. Up until I met you, that is." Mika's hands were on his hips, retorted that although he was remarkably competent at cleaning, he didn't clean his house when no one was home.

"Speaking of magic, what kind of magic do you use? You were very fast back then. Are you a booster type? If so, we could use some of your magic teachinga to keep with your pace." Lusina asked.

Sougo simply answered, "I have no magic."

"WHATTT????" Both of them were in fright for they have just learned Sougo was magicless.

"You... have no magic?" Mika was completely taken aback by the realization that he had previously believed his speed came from some sort of enhancement magic.

"Without magic, in this world you are useless!" Mika bluntly called Sougo weak.

Upon hearing what Mika entitled him, Sougo carefully unsheathed his blade slightly with his thumb, glaring at him with a menacing invisible but noticable dark aura.

"Forgive me for calling you weak." Mika bowed to the floor.

"But, I'm quite shocked hearing that. Even from a strong swordsman like you, mister Sougo." Mika stood after he bowed.

"Come to think of it, he has no Syyon. That explains why!" When Lusina saw that Sougo was missing something, she called it "Syyon."

"No, Lusina, not quite. If you often read the world's history, Syyons aren't the case. People are free to utilize magic whenever they choose, and Syyons exist only for elemental efficiency. However, I'm astonished at how you survived by merely swinging your sword up and down, left and right." As Mika pondered over Sougo's miraculous survival, he abruptly lifted his chin with a swift motion of his right hand.

As Mika had just mentioned, Syyon was a mechanism that enabled its user to harness the power of elemental magic.

"Hold on a second," Mika then headed to his bedroom in search of a particular item.

"Bingo!" Mika then discovered something in his drawer with delight.

Afterwards, upon discovering it, Mika relinquished it to Sougo. The Syyon possessed the semblance of a translucent glass hourglass, devoid of sand, yet coated in ancient dust, and indistinguishable from a typical hourglass. Essentially, it was a timepiece fashioned from two glass vessels connected by a slender conduit for the flow of sand.

"I thought in your world, you used magic to survive. Didn't think you don't have any of them, good thing you told your story!" Mika handed the Syyon.

"This is a Syyonolphous. An object where you'll know your magic affinity, and it functions as a stabilizer. Without it, you can only rely on magic chants every day, that is, if you know any. Not much of a history to tell about Syyons, it's just a tool that we people use to utilize elemental magic more effectively."

"It's fine if you don't have one. It's not cheap, and not all of us get it for free. Others who don't have one, usually use grimoires, magical wooden sticks, staffs, and even sharp weapons, which depends on the region's cultures. Fun fact, they can use without it, just that if you're talented enough." Mika continued his discussion about Syyons. He stated that Syyons were unnecessary and just existed to use magic easier.

"Despite that, you will either be chosen or not be chosen, it's up to the Syyon that deems you worthy or not. Once you are chosen, a bright light will come out from the tube, gleaming with colorful light."

"It's rather incongruous for you to live here, actually. No knowledge of the world, know nothing about magic, not even the faintest idea of what should do." Mika felt pity for Sougo since, without Mika's assistance, Sougo would have died.

"Okay, enough with the explanations; let's get to it right now, shall we? Hold the Syyon now." Sougo carried out his order and held the Syyon.

After proceeding with Mika's instruction, he then instructed Sougo to close his eyes and let out his emotion.

Following Mika's guidance, he proceeded to direct Sougo to shut his eyes and release his emotions. Sougo complied by closing his eyes and entering into a state of meditation, where he began to visualize. As he did so, the surrounding environment grew dimmer, and he found himself encompassed by immense, pitch-black abysses. Despite the absence of sound and light, Sougo remained unfazed and steadfast in his focus.

Then it happened...

A shapeless green radiance materialized, but gradually it took on the form of a spherical object. Sougo drew nearer to the luminous entity in an attempt to perceive its nature. However, just as he reached out to make physical contact with it, the light abruptly dissipated.

Surprisingly, the green glow reappeared, emanating from within Sougo's own being. Upon the moment of contact with the spherical light, the entire previously darkened room became illuminated, and a brighter ambiance was established.

Soon after his eyes opened he saw, a bright green light, glowing from the Syyon he was clutching.

"A green one! Which means your magic affinity is wind!" Lusina finally got to see what affinity Sougo had.

"Well, I don't know much about the field of elementalology. But, it shows that you value freedom, so it kind of works for you!" Upon Sougo's selection by the Syyon, Mika was overcame with elation.

Subsequently, an unusual breeze tinted in green manifested itself directly onto Sougo's palms, which was also visible to both Lusina and Mika.

"Congratulations! Now you are officially one of us! The Syyon users, hehe."
