1 Prologue

When things were happening up north for Daniel Harris, Avery and Jon were heading around the States to anyone in need of help. Ever since the loss of Damien the two were lost. Lost in the fact that their boss, their best friend had died. Although both humans, Jon was always the more powerful one than Avery. Jon had connections with the Leyline energy and could sense the presence of spirits around him. He had many that only Avery knows about cause Jon told him.

Avery on the other hand was full on human yet could somehow survive the Leyline energy. It was told long ago that he was once like Jon. However an event happened that made Avery go into hiding and never to contact Jon again. That was three years ago. Avery and Jon have buried the hatchet and are here now.

These two were always known as a last resort, someone that you contact incase an event was going out of your hands or simply to much to handle. The Counsel of Wolves hated these men but understood they were not to be messed with even when Damien didn't control them. One day Avery gets contacted by a man known as The One. A prodigy known in the vampire world as "the one who was spared". When Avery and The One contacted they discussed an alliance because The One needed help with it. As the two agreed on the terms soon The One was shot and killed. Avery fled the scene with the evidence The One gave him and with that he and Jon were off to their new location, New Orleans. The mission, to help a witch known as Cassandra.
