[|Ch.9 Lake Szelezon|]

Italic text like this, are the mc's thoughts that are accessible to everything in his mind.

Normal text like this is the mc describing what he or others are doing, a sort of pseudo-omniscient narrator that is himself.

"Text like this is people talking."

"Are you ready, BonBon?" I inquire, standing in front of our expanding kingdom with around 20 soldiers positioned behind us, we really don't need too many after all.

Bonnibel stands beside me, and she grumbles, "I told you not to call me that in public."

"And I told you no...."

"BonBon" I playfully tease, causing her to roll her eyes. "Whatever, let's go," she says, ensuring that she has everything she needs.

She has prepared adequately, bringing her most powerful firearms capable of blowing holes in buildings, some close-combat weapons, and clothes good for physical things.

"Yup," I reply, seeking refuge in her shadow as she mounts her horse. I need to spend as much time as possible in a physical body, as my limit is currently around 10 hours, which decreases the more I use my powers.

Thus, we continue our journey. Bonnie raises her hand and signals her horse to move forward, with our forces following suit. After only a few hours of admiring the scenery, we emerge from the forest we entered some time ago.

We now find ourselves in a clearing, with a lake directly in front of us. I step out of Bonnie's shadow and approach the water's edge.

Peering into the depths, I notice a hole where a pillar should be, in the show there was a pillar there that had all sorts of stuff along with the universal translator sitting right on top.

But none of that stuff is there sadly, maybe because a majority of the stuff that should be there are magical items that can only be created by wizards, but probably not since wizards did exist at one point to be able to leave the stuff there.

Alternatively, they might exist but just havent surfaced.

Probably the later to be honest.

This is also where a bunch of Candy People got fucked.

I also note the absence of any Lake Guardians, perhaps they do not yet exist and only came into existence after the treasure started accumulating there.

I stand and turn back to everyone as Bonnie dismounts her horse. "Okay, so there's a hole in the water that goes really far down, probably where everyone died," I inform Bonnibel.

She ponders for a moment. "Alright... exploring that will be challenging... but not impossible," she says before addressing my soldiers. "Okay, we will leave most of you here, as I doubt whatever is down there can accommodate all of you."

I glance at my butler, who has accompanied us, and speak to him. "Sprinkles, if we don't return in a day or so, assume we are dead and return to the kingdom to take over for us," I instruct, receiving a solemn nod in response.

"Okay, great. Let's go," I say as Bonnie retrieves a gas mask-like device and places it over her mouth. "Will your weapons even work underwater?" I inquire, eliciting a chuckle.

"Of course, I wouldn't create something with such a vulnerability," she replies, diving into the water, followed swiftly by me and 10 of our soldiers.

In this form, they no longer require food, water, or oxygen, just like me when I am in a physical body. However, their energy consumption is accelerated.

We swim down, and I remain vigilant. After a minute of swimming, we reach the beginning of the hole. I nod at Bonnie, and my soldiers go first, while we follow closely behind.

I clearly underestimated the depth of the hole, as we continue descending for a solid 40 minutes before we spot what appears to be the end. I notice that the water abruptly ends.

Before I can react, one of my soldiers swims through and we watch as he plummets all the way down, impaled on a stalagmite at the very bottom he doesn't die though.

You need to pretty much atomize a candy person for them to die, they can barely be called living things, they have no organs and are powered by candy juice, but we can't fix him up at the moment.

Sighing, I move to the front and grab Bonnie. Before she can react, I drop down into what appears to be a cave. I land on the ground unscathed and place her down.

"You should have warned me beforehand..." she says, taking off her mask and adjusting her now damp, slightly translucent attire... and I catch myself gazing for a moment too long, "What are you staring at?" she asks, smirking, and I quickly shift my gaze, "Nothing."

We find ourselves in a cave with breathable air. I look up at the hole leading upward, where the water abruptly stops like there is a wall stopping it from flooding the entire lake in.

I look up at the soldiers just up there, and quickly stretch up my land, enlarge it and grab them one by one, bringing them down. Can't have them breaking their legs yet.

I decide to look around and only then notice a giant gate embedded into the end of the very small cave.

"A dungeon huh?" Bonnie mutters.

.

The stones wont stop showering me. Thank you guys.
