5 Reviewing The Status Profile

[Initiation of the 117th World confirmed. Introduction and Tutorial Sequences are commencing.]

The same words started ringing in everyone's ears throughout the world at the same time.

Grace and Amelia were not an exception to this.

They looked at each other at first and after seeing their baffled faces, they understood they heard the same bland mechanical voice about some Introduction and Tutorial at the same time.

Both of them looked at Nehar at that moment only to notice that he was not flabbergasted like them.

It even looked like the man was waiting for this moment.

Before anyone could even utter a single word, they felt a white light enveloping their bodies and they were pulled into the light source.

They didn't even have the time to scream before all of them suddenly disappeared.

The big house turned into a haunted house, devoid of people.

 ---

When they again opened their eyes, they found themselves on a street.

It didn't take long for them to recognize the street at all.

It was the main road, leading towards the sole airport and train junction in this city.

But now, several thousand people were in this street, screaming, and yelling at each other while some were even seen crying.

Nehar observed his surroundings with a calm face after opening his eyes and readjusting his senses.

This picture was not alien to him.

He was quite familiar with this type of environment.

The scenes around him brought back some old memories.

In the past, when he was transported to this same road, he screamed and yelled for over a minute demanding an explanation.

And now, he stood there confidently with a serene expression on his face, as he was already aware of what was happening all over the world right now.

The Tutorial Phase started all the over world at the same time.

There will be no safe time for anyone to prepare beforehand.

Luckily, he was a Returner with an intact set of memories.

 Nehar chuckled lightly.

Although he was not screaming, shouting, and yelling at others, it didn't mean they were not doing the same.

 People were scared.

Some of them were looking around with puzzled faces, trying to understand what was happening.

Some people who worked in the police and authorities were trying to maintain a semblance of peace.

However, they were heavily outnumbered when almost everyone was shouting, yelling, pushing and pulling each other, and demanding an explanation.

Many of them even thought this was something related to secretive Government projects.

Some were crying as they thought this was nothing but a supernatural and alien event.

 Nehar sympathized with them internally.

He too was quite puzzled last time.

When he looked around, he saw his aunt, sister, and uncle were also there, trying to process everything.

Nehar didn't try to explain anything.

Both Grace and Amelia were shocked beyond belief.

They were looking around themselves only to find thousands of people were on the road at this time of night and no one had any idea of what was going on.

They felt a sudden pull when a white light enveloped them, and just after that, they found themselves in the middle of the street.

When they looked around, they found only they were dressed like soldiers.

Other than them, many people were wearing their common house dresses.

Some were even butt naked; probably they were sleeping soundly when they were suddenly pulled here.

Amelia saw his father too, he was also half naked.

As he was resting in his room after Nehar's thorough beating, he too had no idea what was happening.

He only saw his wife, daughter, and nephew were dressed in weird clothes in which they looked like combat veterans.

Both Amelia and Grace noticed other people were also eyeing them differently.

They looked quite different in their attires from the common masses after all.

Grace looked at Nehar, and asked him, "So this is what you were speaking of earlier?"

Some people who were nearby also looked at him after hearing her words.

 Nehar nodded affirmatively.

His uncle didn't understand what were they speaking of, so he asked again, "Hey, what's happening? Why are we in the middle of the main road at this time?"

 Nehar didn't answer.

At that moment, he was looking at Grace.

That woman was puzzled like all others but still adapted quite fast.

So, she is not only a pretty face. Her aptitude is quite good.

While he was thinking about her, Amelia pulled his arm and asked him, "Hey, were you actually serious when you were talking about something related to survival?"

She too was shocked by the rapid turn of events around her.

But she was not an idiot.

She understood quite clearly something big was going to happen and the most knowledgeable person about that was his brother and no one else.

He even prepared himself and others before this.

He must have known something about this.

Thus she decided, it would be better to rely on him than others.

Nehar nodded his head slowly while separating himself from Amelia.

Grace also understood her thoughts while she looked around.

While everyone was trying to find out what happened and some were even demanding explanations, the man in front of them was looking very calm about all of this.

So much that she doubted he already knew what was going to happen after 12 and he also knew what would happen later.

Well, she was not wrong in her thought process.

Other than his source of beforehand knowledge of those events, she was quite right about him.

 ---

Before they could ask anything more, all of them again heard the same bland, mechanical voice in their head, which they previously heard before getting pulled into here.

 [ Initiation completed. ]

[ Please, enter the necessary credentials to create your Basic Status Profile. ]

When Nehar heard those words, he chuckled.

The Introduction was quite similar to a game.

One has to enter some necessary details to create their Status Profile.

It was quite similar to a game.

One has to choose a class at the beginning too.

As for the rest of the details, the System had already obtained them while scanning them through those white light beams that enveloped them previously.

 Quite an advanced process!

Nehar didn't hesitate as he commanded mentally, "Status Profile."

A bluish screen suddenly came up and started to hover in front of his eyes.

He was quite familiar with this sensation as well.

 Nehar commanded, "Rename."

With his command, another System-generated prompt came up.

[System: Do you wish to change your Name?]

[System Alert: You will have only one chance in renaming. Do you wish to proceed? YES/NO. ]

 Nehar confirmed "YES".

It was not necessary, but he wanted to have a new start in this life.

 [System: Please Rename.]

 "Raven", Nehar commanded again.

After some time, another prompt came up.

 [System: Renaming successful.]

[System: Please choose a Class from the list below to start the Tutorial Phase.]

Soon, a list containing various classes appeared in front of him.

[System: Please, choose a suitable Class for your journey.

 - Fighter

 - Warrior

 - Swordsman

 - Caster

 - Priest

 - Healer

 - Archer

 - Thief]

Nehar looked at the Class chart and the various classes in it listlessly.

While looking at it, some memories resurfaced in his mind.

In the past, when the same choices were in front of him, he was quite excited.

After all, it was quite a fantastical setting.

Not knowing what's coming next, he had chosen a class to his liking in the past. Many people had done the same and lost their lives meaninglessly in the upcoming Tutorial Phase.

Nehar looked at the Classes and discovered it hasn't changed from the past.

It was the same as before.

And obviously, no lifestyle classes were given in the list.

 Nehar smirked lightly.

The System was not that merciful to them, the Players in the new world.

Otherwise, it would've provided some lifestyle professions like, Alchemist, Blacksmith or Gatherer.

If those professional classes were provided to them, they could have made some potions for their fast recovery during the battles; would have made weapons much more durable and most importantly, they could have gathered food resources or dry rations from the surrounding environment itself.

Thus, the internal battles and bloodshed could have been avoided.

Nehar shook his head and stopped thinking about the past.

The classes which were given to them were nothing special. All of them were Basic Classes to survive the start of the apocalypse.

Advanced Classes would become available once they started their respective Class Advancement Quests after reaching certain levels.

There were also some Special Classes, but to obtain them one had to finish many different quest lines and still, many of those classes didn't have proper introduction or dedicated quest lines at all.

Obtaining them quite depended upon a person's luck.

And as for the Hidden Classes, they were a separate matter altogether.

There was no point in discussing them here.

Nehar was not worried as he already had enough information about all those classes, and he specifically knew which classes would be the best for future development.

Nehar took a last look at the Class chart on his Screen panel and decided to close it.

In the past, he had chosen "Swordsman" as his starting class and advanced it up to the fabled "Sword King".

But this time he had a different plan altogether, thus he didn't bother to pick a class from them.

Just after he mentally commanded to close the Class chart, another message popped up.

[System Alert: You have not chosen any Class. It's better to pick a powerful Class to survive the upcoming calamity. You can open the Class chart window to select a Class anytime during the Tutorial Phase.]

Nehar only smirked and ignored the goodwill of the System.

"Status Window", he commanded mentally as another bluish panel showed up in front of his eyes.

Although he had experienced all of these before, he was still shocked when he looked at his Basic stat values.

At the beginning of the Tutorial Phase, one could have a maximum value of 10 in any of their stats.

It represented the maximum value of a stat during the start of the apocalypse.

Nehar saw many of his Basic stats are in the range of 8-10, which was not bad at all.

Most importantly, his Perception and Will Power stats are currently maxed.

Nehar laughed lightly, it was quite a rare sight.

In the past, most of his stats were in the range of 5-7, which was quite normal for any person.

He thought to himself, was this because he had returned?

Were those the benefits of a Returner?

Nehar didn't know the answer to this question, so he chose not to dwell on it anymore.

MP stats are present in the Profile, which meant he had successfully awakened the dormant mana inside his body when he was pulled here by the System.

When the white light enveloped them, it had performed many other jobs rather than a petty teleportation process.

Not only did it help the System to gain a primary data sheet on every individual, but it also helped the beginners to awaken their dormant mana or blood power in their bodies.

But it was not for all.

Many people also didn't awaken the dormant mana pool in their bodies or any other kind of power.

For them, there was only two way forward.

One was to achieve the Awakening via the different methods or Alchemy.

And the second choice was to accept it and move forward.

They would be able to choose a pure Melee profession or a Lifestyle profession in the future.

The System was not kind to everyone after all.

Not everyone was suited for the combat.

He sighed, this was the real nature of the cruel world!

After taking a look at his Status, he also discovered that he had three unallocated stat points.

It was not only for him, it was for everyone to balance their Basic stats in the beginning.

With each subsequent level up, they would obtain 3 stat points and for every five level ups, the System will provide 5 Skill Proficiency Points to help them level up their various skills.

Although it looked quite good at first, it wasn't enough to level up any skill properly in the later stages.

Nehar added all the 3 stat points into the Constitution and directly maxed it without even thinking anymore.

Each point in the Constitution would increase the maximum health (HP) by 10 points, though there was limit till which it can be increased via adding Stat Points to the <Constitution > Stat.

Nehar knew very well about the Tutorial Phase.

He knew that the Mode of the 1st Tutorial was "Survive", where they had to fight a horde of a large number of Zombies and survive to proceed to the next Tutorial.

Fighting a zombie, which was nothing but a dead and rotten lump of flesh, was nothing special.

But if one were to get scratched by their sharp claws, it would be a disaster at this stage where no proper medication was available.

His Strength, Stamina, Agility, and Endurance were already quite high. Thus he didn't bother to increase them at all.

Rather he chose to increase his Constitution, and in doing it he increased his maximum HP and the speed of his natural recovery process.

[System: You have added 3 stat points in Constitution. Your current Constitution: 10]

[System: Your Health has increased. Your current HP: 130/130]

[System Alert: The speed of your Natural Recovery has increased.]

[System: Current Self HP Regeneration: +3/min (+180/hr)]

[System: Current Unallocated Stat Points : 0]

[System Alert: Your Status Window has been updated.]

After taking a look at it, Nehar mentally commanded it to close.

Now, it was the time to look over his ragtag group of teammates, his aunt and sister.

As he was standing some distance away from the rest, he started walking towards them after sorting his matters.

After all, he had some great plans for them.
