A Happy Family

"Who is the boy, father?"

Ert saw a tall boy behind his father. The boy is somewhat shy and is looking at his surrounding. His facial look is just ordinary with short black hair. What makes him unique is that he has white skin and a different style of clothing. His half legs are also visible because he wore short pants. A look of a noble.

San hugs his daughter and taps the shoulder of his son. They are waiting to welcome him in his return. He looks very happy despite the trouble that happened in town.

"He is Erstan. I found him today in front of our shop." Answered San to his daughter.

"And... He is not a perfect boy actually." San continued.

"What do you mean, father? Is he someone who does it with another man? Or maybe, is he a girl?" Asked Sky.

"No! What are you thinking!" San laughs at the small misunderstanding.

"Then what is it, father?" Asked his daughter curiously.

"Ahmmm... How should I put this...."

His daughter and son are still waiting for his answer.

"Ahmmm... He is already 20." He said it this way to see his daughter and son's reactions. But after a moment...

"What do you mean 20, father?"

He is disappointed to see them knitting their brows. They do not get what he means. He expects a reaction like what he did after knowing.

"He is 20 years old already." He said it in a little angry voice.

"WHAT?!" Both reacted in unison.

"So that is. He also doesn't know where he is and got wounded by the princess's knights, and most importantly, he is not a noble despite his pretty skin." Sky recites what his father just told them.

"I still can't believe that you are 20 years old. I thought we are on the same age. How come you don't have a mustache nor a beard? You look young." Sky asks which made Erstan attentive.

"He's right." Ert agrees. "Wait, I have to get the medicine." She hurriedly goes to somewhere in the house.

"Ahmmm... Th-This is normal at where I came from." Erstan answered in a low voice while lightly scratching the back of his head.

"Oh! Really?" Sky in his enthusiastic attitude.

Ert comes back with the medicine kit. She undressed the clothes wrapped in Erstan's arm and hands and put some ointment on the wounds.

"We are of the same age, but it's a pity ..."

"What pity?" Interrupted San to Ert.

"You know. I thought I already found my destiny, father." Ert sigh. "But it's a pity that if we are together, it is not weird that someone will ask me if he is my child. HAHAHA!" She joked.

"Stop that, Ert. It is not funny at all. And... for your information, he knows what you are saying."

"Oh!" She forgot that this boy here is no boy considering his age.

"I thought he can't talk!" Ert shouted.

"Then how did I got his information?! And what does it has to do with being unable to talk and unable to hear?" Asked San.

Ert's face became red because of what she just said. She looks to Erstan who also looks at her blankly.

"By the way, Sky. How is your mother?"

San changed the topic after his daughter ran to her room still holding the ointment.

"HAHAHAHAHA! HAHAHA! Did you see my sister's face, father? HAHAHA!" Sky can't hold his laugh and did not even answer his father.

"I think she won't attend the dinner this time." San worriedly said.

"Mother is okay, father. We watched mother together this morning but I hunted in the forest in the afternoon. I got two rabbits, father." Sky said happily, proud in his hunt.

"Oh! You got better at hunting just for a month. Then, let us prepare the table. Erstan, do you mind helping?"

"Ahm, okay." Erstan responded.

"So you are Erstan. Welcome to our family, Erstan!" Mon welcomed Erstan warmly.

Erstan really appreciates the treatment of San's family to him. Despite him being a stranger, they are not on guard of him in their home. They are now all around the table after the dinner was served. Erstan now starts to like San's family. They are a happy family and hospitable. Mon, San's wife, even got up just to be at the family dinner because she wants to welcome Erstan.

"Are you okay, aunt Mon? You don't need to get up just to receive me." Asked Erstan.

"Oh! You don't need to worry. And... I like you calling me aunt." Mon is happy with her new guest.

"My full name is Erstan Accid. I am very grateful for sheltering and giving me food temporarily even though you are also in need of help right now."

"Oh! You're are really lost. I don't remember a family with the surname Accid. Anyway, don't mind us. Maybe you may be a blessing in disguise." Assured by Mon.

"Hey! I thought you are very shy. Look at you now. You are very comfortable and happy while talking with my mother." Ert said jealously.

"I thought you won't attend the dinner?" Asked San.

"Why shouldn't I. I can't skip a meal you know."

"""HAHAHA!""" All laugh. Even Erstan smiles.

"So, Erstan, what's your plan?"
