This is a novel with a female protagonist who transmigrates directly into a "bridal chamber" in another world (there's a backstory to how the original body ended up there), and meets up with the cold, handsome, competent male lead (the usual trope). She uses her previous hobby of cooking to make new delicious dishes, impresses the male lead, and accompanies him in his (and her own) struggles. Has a few similarities to female protagonist cooking novels like "Here comes the lady chef" and "The Two-Faced Venerate Emperor" (though the stories are very different). Worth a read if you haven't read similar novels, but for experienced readers in this genre, it offers nothing novel or exemplary.
I honestly don't understand all this hate. Sure the description does not really make sense but this is straight out disrespecting author, translators and even qidian for having this novel on their site. If you don't see it interesting the just don't read it's that ****** and people can vote to whatever they want too
Melodramatic soap-opera with a heavy helping of 'rape-****'. (Soap-operas are popular tho - so if that is your jam... try it out) Now for all the stuff that made me hate it: - The "time-travel" part is mere setup with historical anachronisms EVERYWHERE. - The tone whipsaws from campy porno to foodie adventure to gritty rape drama. Often within a single chapter! - The main male lead is either a misogynistic criminal or... a undercover good guy. Pick one or the other book! (You can't have your bad boy cake and eat it too) - The rape. - The very pervy way the book lingered on (multiple) rape scenes. Complete with moans, and the girl "secretly liking it". - The way the book tries to justify the rape by being "historical". Gave it a three simply because the translators did a great job.
Hehe, this is how Quidan is try to prevent <<crazy detective>> getting bullied like <<a valiant life>> though. They know that our energy stones are going to be dispersed making the oldest novel get into the chart. However, they did not play as good as when they made <<a valiant life>> into the chart😂😂😂
Just the name of the novel alone makes me assume that it might be a boring book so i didn't even vote it heck i was totally judgemental but i gave it shot without expecting much and damn i was in for a surprise ..this novel to describe it in one word ' black bellied' i understand some of you guys are criticizing it cause of the rape scene but come on guys its just a work of fiction just because the author wrote does not mean they are advocating it ..heck i didn't see any of you guys who are criticizing this book doing the same to other books which has murder in it ..does that mean those self proclaim holy ones are alright with murder but not rape ..ain't that not double standards ?i mean chill guys we are all educated its just a work of fiction there is no need for all those hatred .....
I am gonna give all my energy stones to this story sk that it would be release soon. I really don't care about the cover or other's review. The genre though, "cooking and comedy". Sounds like a novel worth spending my time reading it. I love comedy, am a humorous person myself, and I also love eating so I am gonna read this one no matter what. I am looking forward to reading this novel. And I also want to say thank you to the translators, not only for this novel but to all translators, who do their best so that we could read amazing novels. You know, not all people could read or understand the Chinese version, like me hahalol, so it is really great that we get to read them in English.
ever since i stared reading this novel it hasn't updated once! the site says it updates 7/week but??? there's nothing??? anyway, it's a pretty decent story if you can get past the start of it. the MC is kind of insufferable, but that's part of her "charm" i guess? at least, that's what the author is trying to sell us on. some of her decisions make no friggin' sense, though. especially when you take into consideration that she's a modern woman. she should have a lot more common sense ---but nope! nada. she's not particularly clever, either ---everyone else just kind of seems .... dumbed down? if that makes sense. the ML is also pretty frustrating, and a lot of the couple's problems could've been avoided if they just, like, idk, communicated? (though, you do learn why, exactly, he was so cautious and unyielding with info/affection as you read along.) i'm pretty hooked though, so there's that. if you can stomach the beginning, definitely give this one a read. hopefully, updates will pick up soon.
