2 Dinner Menu

The car was speeding, while Mesya was still curious about the bloody knife and shoes.

"Mesya, I asked before, but you didn't answer," Mrs. Arumi still handed the chocolate to Mesya.

"It's chocolate, honey," said Arumi again softly.

Instantly Mesya turned her gaze to Arumi, her mouth could no longer stand to speak. Not talking about chocolate, but wanting to talk about those two suspicious things with Arumi.

"Mother, what blood is that? And whose shoes are those?" Mesya's voice trembled slightly.

Hearing Mesya's question, Arumi's face immediately changed. The warm smile slowly faded, the beautiful sparkling pupils dimmed.

A round gaze, directed at the little girl with a sweet smile and a roaring breath full of anger accompanied it.

Of course it scared Mesya, she was very sorry to ask that.

Mesya's heart was beating fast, she lowered her beautiful face as a sign that she was very afraid and sorry to ask.

"Sorry ma'am. Mesya asked wrong huh?" she said with eyes not daring to look at his adoptive mother.

"Don't be afraid, Mesya Darling, I'm not angry at all,"

A soft and loving voice returned to his ears.

Mesya immediately raised her head, and saw her mother's face had returned to normal.

Mesya felt very confused, she thought her question earlier would get her into trouble.

But not. Only for a moment a sinister expression as if pounced greeted her, after that, a kind and gentle angel in the form of a mother returned.

Even so, Mesya still hasn't completely taken her eyes off the knife and shoes.

He was still curious, because her question had not been answered. But even so, Mesya doesn't want to question it anymore. She was afraid that his adoptive mother would be angry, and put on a scary face again.

"Mesya, you're still curious about the blood marks on the sides of the knife and shoes, right?"

And Mesya nodded, "Yes, ma'am. I'm sorry,"

"It's okay dear. Just ask what you want, we will not be angry with you, because you are our beloved," Arumi glanced at her husband Charles for a moment.

A code that only the two of them knew.

"So, what blood is this, Mom? Don't scare Mesya. You didn't hurt anyone, did you?" Mesya asked with a curious look.

"Ugh... Mesya?" Arumi gently held Mesya's cheek, "You have the heart to talk like that? We're not that bad, honey,"

"Then, what blood is it? Why hasn't it been answered yet? You don't know, do you, if Mesya is afraid of blood?" Mesa's eyes started to tear up.

"Ugh, honey, it's not blood, son. Mesya misunderstood. Because it was just a red ink stain," explained Arumi.

But the look on Mesya's face seemed to show that she didn't fully believe it.

"Listen, Mesya, you don't think it's weird, we're not killers, kid," without giving up, Arumi continued to reassure Mesya.

Until finally Mesya began to believe him.

While continuing to stroke her hair and hug the little girl's body, Arumi fed the chocolate she had just taken out of her bag earlier.

"This is chocolate, from New Zealand, a gift from your father's business partner, try it, it tastes good," Arumi thrust the chocolate in front of Mesya's mouth.

Mesya hesitantly opened her mouth, because she didn't want to offend Arumi. In fact, Mesya does not like chocolate.

And after being bitten and chewing pieces of chocolate, it is really delicious, different from chocolate in general. And what Arumi just said is right, the chocolate is really good.

"How? It's delicious, isn't it?" asked Arum.

And Mesya nodded, "Yes, ma'am,"

"Okay, then please finish," Mesya nodded again.

While leaning on Arumi's lap, Mesya munched on chocolate while Arumi stroked her hair and forehead.

Once again a feeling of happiness appeared in the recesses of the 7-year-old girl's heart.

She didn't feel like het eyes were going to close, because of the sudden drowsiness that attacked him. Either because she was very tired or because of the effects of the chocolate she just ate.

Seeing Mesya fast asleep, Arumi glanced at her husband again and signalled through her eyes.

Even without a word, Charles knew what his wife meant.

He immediately got out of the car and took a knife, high heels, and a small backpack that didn't know what was in it.

Then Charles threw them all into a river with a strong current.

With his eyes scanned his surroundings, Charles returned to his car.

"Is it safe?" asked Arumi with a straight look.

Charles gave a thumbs up, with a faint smile.

"Good!"

An hour had passed, and they had arrived at their destination.

"Mesya, Mesya, dear...let's wake up dear," said Arumi.

Then slowly Mesya opened her eyes.

She was surprised because she was in front of a large palace-like house.

"Whose house is this?" Mesya asked innocently.

"This is our house, honey, and now it's yours too, son."

Then Mesya was invited inside, and inside the house, Mesya was greeted by two boys with a flat expression.

"Introducing, here are your two brothers, the one in black is David and the one in white is named Arthur." Arumi say.

But the three of them didn't immediately extend their hands and instead just looked at each other.

Seeing this, Arumi immediately opened a conversation so that the three of them could get to know each other.

"David, Arthur, let's meet your new sister," still with a friendly smile.

Arthur smiled and stretched his hand out to Mesya.

"Introduce my name, Arthur, greetings my beautiful new sister," Arthur said.

And Mesya smiled, as she welcomed Arthur's hand.

Then David also stretched out his hand, but unlike Arthur David's face looked very stiff, not a hint of friendliness radiated.

Even so, Mesya still welcomed David's hand warmly and with a smile.

And after that, Mesya was invited to the dining table, to have dinner together.

Mesya was immediately surprised when she saw the dinner menu which was very luxurious.

The various meats are presented neatly and attractively, very different when they are in the orphanage.

"Mesya, let's eat, don't just stare at it," said Arumi while putting a large piece of meat.

"Okay, ma'am, thank you," answered Mesya politely.

"If you want more, just take it, don't be shy," said Arumi.

"Yes, Mother," replied Mesya smiling.

While David glanced at Mesya cynically, and realized that, Arumi turned to glance at David with a look that was no less cynical and very scary, instantly it made David immediately avert his eyes and looked down and focused on his plate. David looked terrified at his mother's gaze.

2 minutes later.

"Ummp... hoek! hoek!

Mesya suddenly felt nauseous after eating the dinner dish, although it looked very delicious, but for some reason Mesya's stomach didn't seem to be able to accept it, the taste of the meat was not like meat in general. The texture of the meat was a bit hard, and there was a fishy smell that made Mesya couldn't stand it and wanted to throw up.
