Chapter 32: A New Home II

The dream started peacefully enough with her floating on her back in the sea, mesmerised by the stars and being gently rocked by the waves. Content merely to lie there, she enjoyed the solitude, allowing her body to drift.

Slowly, the sea turned choppy. The waves grew in size and she began to fear for her safety. Righting herself, she treaded water while she searched for land. There was none to be found, and no boats on the water to come to her rescue.

As the waves increased in size. She became anxious and a knot began to form in her stomach, demanding she act - now. Striking out, she followed the waves, hoping they would lead her to land. Cold soon crept through her body, and she began to tire. Although she fought it, eventually the sea wrapped her in its inky embrace.
