From the moment he saw her, Lucas Walker knew that she was the rib taken from his body by God.

...

Lucas Walker: Ivana, you are that rib taken from my body by God.

Ivana Bennett: Damn you, you're the rib, your whole family are ribs.

Baby A: Mommy, is a rib the same as a spare rib?

Baby B: I prefer sweet and sour taste.

...

Ivana Bennett slowly opened her eyes, feeling a dull ache in her head. Instinctively, she tried to raise her fingers to massage her temples.

However, she couldn't move her fingers... in fact, it seemed as if her entire body was bound.

The room was dim; moonlight poured in through the arched window, casting everything in a silvery light.

Outside the window, the night was deep, stars twinkling.

Where was this place?!

Ivana Bennett turned away from the window, casting her sights around the room. With the moonlight filtering in from outside, she could make out the luxurious yet tasteful decor. It was a large bedroom, oval in shape, with an arched window directly opposite the bed.

Click!

A faint noise, the door was being nudged open.

"Sir, everything is ready for you. I hope you have a pleasant evening."

A perfect London accent, respectful but not sycophantic, it was a voice only a professionally trained British butler could possess.

"Hmm."

The response was a voice devoid of emotion.

Ivana strived to turn her head, looking in the direction of the door behind her. Due to the angle, she couldn't see a thing.

The door closed, making a soft sound.

Steady footsteps were approaching her.

The light before her eyes dimmed as the person arrived by her bed. Ivana looked up.

The moon was behind him, casting his face in shadow. She could only make out a tall figure, clad in a neatly fitting suit.

"Starting today, you belong to me, body and soul!"

The man looked down at her, declaring so imperiously, like a king.

Ivana chuckled as if she had just heard the most amusing joke in the world.

"If you need a psychiatrist, I do know a good one."

The man let out a soft sound, seemingly laughing as well.

Then, he drew close, his face near hers.

Their faces were getting closer, and she saw him clearly. He was wearing a stylish mask that only revealed his right eye.

In the faint room light, under his golden-brown strands was an eye as dark blue as the night sea.

Even though one of his eyes was covered, it did not diminish the beauty of his face. In the dim room light, it was as if his face had been sketched by a comic book artist, lips slightly curled in an enigmatic, faint smile.

"Don't you recognize me?!"

His face was entirely unfamiliar to her.

The man before her exuded an evil aura. This aura was synonymous with danger.

"I believe you have mistaken me for someone else. I am just an average student with no money to offer if you intended to extort me …"

A warm touch on her earlobe. The man's fingers were already holding her right ear, lightly touching the tiny red stud in her ear.

Mistaken?

How could he have mistaken?!

He'd been searching for her for three months. How could he have mistaken?!

"Stop touching me, get your dirty hands off me!" Ivana growled.

"Don't forget, you're mine," not only did the man not remove his fingers, but he also intensified the contact, his finger slowly descended from her earlobe, sweeping across her face to fall on her lips, lightly rubbing against them. "I will touch you however, wherever I want!"
