The next day, dark clouds were looming in on Shin's villa.

The tense and despotic atmosphere was twice as severe that instant, it was as if a tragedy would soon befall the place.

By the living room, three women suddenly came unannounced that early morning.

"What is taking them so long? Have they already forgotten how to pay their respects to this Elder?!" Elder Madam Keir hollered, as the family matriarch it is completely unacceptable for her to wait.

"Elder Madam Keir, we have already informed both the Master and Young Master of your abrupt visit." Butler Hong was as polite as usual but a trace of hostility flashed in his eyes.

"How did you know my unplanned visit here, Mother?" Allister Keir came down with a grimace.

Sitting beside Elder Madam Keir was Eleanor Keir, the current madam, and wife of Allister Keir, also Shin's stepmother.

"Husband, you look more and more younger than the last time I saw you. How come you never seen me the past 3 years?" Eleanor Keir ran toward Allister like a happy child.

"Eleanor, I told you to mind your manners otherwise I would have Allister divorce you!" Elder Madam Keir heavily reprimanded her daughter-in-law and sized up her second son whom she had not seen for 3 years. "Hmph, at least you still look human, had I not known you were here would you have informed us?"

Eleanor stiffened upon hearing the word divorce and tightly clung to Allister's arm.

"You came here this early, what's the matter?" Allister sat down ignoring Eleanor.

"Where is that unfilial son of yours? While you are busy hiding that bastard dared to bully his relatives, humiliating and ruining my grandson's reputation, where is his conscience?! Hadi is his cousin, he was supposed to protect him!"

Allister slightly frowned, "Shin should have his reason, this and that are two different matters, like how personal affairs shouldn't influence work and business matters. Besides, Shin is presently the CEO of a conglomerate global company and rarely has time to rest, you come here to scold him just because your beloved grandson whimpered to you?"

Butler Hong unconsciously nodded, coming there to make trouble and warning others of their manners, which scum book did she learn the meaning of manners?

Elder Madam Keir turned red in exasperation, she was about to lash out when the young woman who came along with her and Eleanor, appeased her.

"Grandma, please calm down getting mad is bad for your health." Calin lightly patted the old woman's back with an apologetic look toward Allister.

Calin shyly took out a gift box and placed it on the table.

Elder Madam Keir who wasn't used to being affronted, once again castigated her son.

"Since you care about the company then you should be aware that it's rapid growth and unrivaled success is all because of Shin."

"Nonsense!" Elder Madam Keir refused to acknowledge Shin's hard work and believed Allister paved the way, handing everything to his illegitimate son on a silver platter.

An hour later, Shin came down, cold and indifferent.

Eleanor who was glued to Allister suddenly stood up wanting to embrace him, "Son!"

"Eleanor, I told you to mind your manners!" Elder Madam Keir's old face contorted.

"Coming in without permission and treating my study as your lounge, you don't think you're impolite?"
