1 Chapter 1

It is currently the 50th century on earth. In this time, the subspecies Homo sapiens sapiens, or the modern human beings, is further classified into two: restrained and unrestrained beings. This happened after an asteroid hit the planet earth in the 30th century. The asteroid's size that hit the earth was 10 times larger compared to Chicxulub impactor which caused the extinction of dinosaurs. While the asteroid was passing through earth's atmosphere, instead of it being lessened by the extreme friction due to air, it broke up to very small pieces like marbles crashing to earth seemingly covering all its spaces at high speed. Those who witnessed this occurred are frightened to death as they try to dodge these marbles. What they saw was after it hit someone, it will immediately explode, like a very volatile bomb. Human beings are greatly reduced on that time hitting rock bottom on their population count from 7 billion to one hundred thousand across the whole globe. Almost every species on earth became extinct because of the catastrophe.

But what happened next after the asteroid hit is more baffling, every species left alive somehow got weird powers the day after. They have somehow gained control of the environment they were attached to. Sharks can make water torpedo, although it looked very weak as it is made of water and must have no firepower on it, it is also so strange as it explodes even stronger than normal torpedo maybe because of high pressure caged inside it. Some species of plants that are left alive began having weird concentration of light in their flowers and foliage. Some of these plants are so aggressive. Anyone aside from the same species that entered a 100m of radius within itself will be blasted with this concentration of light either blinding them or scorching them completely. Cockroaches became scarier as everything they bite into decays at a fast speed. This was proven first-hand by those who survived on the streets only to get bitten by cockroaches and left to ashes after 10 minutes.

But as for humans, they did not gain any absurd powers to influence their environment. Most of the ones left alive just seemed to become stronger being able to lift a car with two hands for the average adult. But there are weird blue moles that appeared on them, most of them having one while on rarest case two. Some of them got curious enough to poke it with blade only to see, that instead of blood coming out, a transparent liquid comes from it. What is weird after some drops of the liquid left, the mole immediately healed, while leaving the person exhausted. As everything in human's civilization was in wreck, most of them travelled searching for daily food. Some are even brave enough to catch fish only to have at least one of them dying on the process. The fishes are very weird. They spit out water blades. On closer inspection of the fish, they also saw the similar blue mole on them. A curious guy suddenly poked it with a knife and drunk it. The mole did not close. After the last drop, the curious guy's hands that are holding the fish suddenly let out a splash of very sharp water cutting the fish very smoothly. Other survivors of the human species also discovered that they could drink the mysterious liquid coming from other species mole to steal their power. But catching them proved to be so difficult that the ratio of catch to human's death is very low. Not only is catching them difficult as also the success rate of getting the powers from the mole is very low. On a group of 10 people gathered to survive, it will be rare to find even one of them with ability after catching at least 20 other species. Some lunatics even tried to kill other humans to drink their mole liquid only to end up dead themselves for unknown reason.

Those who got an ability are called unrestrained as they can literally bend earth's natural laws, while those who do not have an ability are called restrained. Humans were only able to achieve half of their technological civilization during 47th century. The most modern thing someone can see from before the 30th century is a flying car for 2 persons and augmented reality computers integrated on glasses.
