Unavoidable questions

Chapter 5 - Unavoidable questions

The middle-aged man wanted to continue their talk outside. He couldn't handle any more of this and wanted to say to him, 'Relax'. But do you think he could say that to someone who emits fear in your heart? No. Starting when the 'Voice' controlled Floyde's body, murderous intent, heavy pressure, sudden change of wind filled the hall. if there was no hell, this large hall would now be considered as one. The chaotic feeling inside this room is unimaginable.

Thinking, the middle-aged man was now in his thoughts, figuring out how he could lead 'Demon Lord Belial' outside. If he did that, the aura of Floyde and the murderous intent, heavy pressure would burst out of the enclosed hall as soon as the slightest inch of opening would be seen on the big door. And since it was still dark, even though the middle-aged man's fire was still on his palms, it was hard to control it because of the strong wind in the hall that would always try to blow it out.

Floyde who was now back in his senses, began to recall how he got here again.

"So, how did you find this body in the snow?" asked Floyde to the middle-aged man wanting to know he ended up in this large hall.

"What do you mean, my Lord? It still isn't the winter season yet." said the man as he stood up from his knees shakingly.

"...."

"The body you are occupying, my Lord. Someone sold it to us when it was unconscious when we were in the black market."

And he continued, "That person had a red cloak on that was covering its entire body, even the face. But, guessing by the person's voice I would say that she was a female."

"Hahahaha..." laughed Floyde uncomfortably from his reply.

'Ahh! it must be that I have been in a coma since that snowy night and that female must've taken care of me. She was tired from waiting since l didn't wake up, so she sold me to the black market," Floyde thought in a positive way.

"So when did she sell this body to you?"

"3 days ago," said the middle-aged with no intention of hiding anything.

"When did you sacrifice the 7,000 people?"

"Yesterday."

"So, to be on the same page. This 'body' I am using right now is a vessel for my reincarnation?"

"Yes."

"And yesterday was just the day you sacrificed the 7,000 people. When I mean sacrifice, you mean you killed them?"

"Yes..."

"Why did you buy this body if you could just get other bodies for free?"

"Ahh... umm..." the middle-aged man didn't know what to say right now. What Floyde had just said was right. Why didn't he get other bodies for free? The middle-aged man just lowered his head. His face right now had an expression of guilt.

'Is this guy an idiot? Is this how he scammed himself into that stupid cult... Plus, who would be dumb enough to kill 7,000 people? Don't they know that the police nor the government wouldn't stay silent about these?' Floyde sighed as he thought to himself that this would also be the last days of the middle-aged man and the other people on black.

"Anyway, back to the topic. While the person of this body was unconscious, you did the ritual so that his soul would be replaced with mine?"

"Yes, my Lord. The person who sold it to us said that the body would be asleep for a week. Since we didn't trust her completely, we still cast a sleeping spell on the body." said the middle-aged man as he continued.

"And when you woke up, we thought we had failed, even though we had cast a sleeping spell. It's because if the vessel would wake up in the middle of a ritual, it would disrupt the entire process and would have to redo it again if possible."

"So what did the police say? Did it show up in the news?" said Floyde.

"Police? I'm not sure I've heard that word before. Show up in the news? I'm not sure what you're talking about, my Lord." answered the middle-aged man, not knowing what 'Demon Lord Belial' had said.

'What the hell is this dude saying? Doesn't he know this would show up in the news, what's weirder is that he doesn't even know what Police is? Don't people learn that at school? Don't also tell me the people in black don't know about this too.' thought Floyde as he chuckled.

"Maybe you got brainwashed. What did that cult do to you? Hahahaha."

"Oh my! You really are omniscient as said in the book, you already know about the cult." his eyes shined as he replied to 'Demon Lord Belial'.

"But the brainwashing part, the cult isn't able yet to do that."

"What do you mean 'isn't able yet to do that?" asked Floyde wanting to know what he meant.

"The cult's spellcasters aren't yet capable of learning the brainwashing spell, it's difficult to learn and it would require a lot of mana to cast it. The sleeping spell we did was a basic one that probably every spell caster would do, even the beginners."

The middle-aged man couldn't stand it anymore. While he was talking to 'Demon Lord Belial' he was standing and trembling at the same time, resisting the heavy pressure pushing him down. He only had one thing in mind, even though he knew it would be disrespectful to ask a suggestion to a 'Demon Lord' he had to take the risk.

"Demon Lord Belial why don't w-"

"What do you mean spell casters and mana?" said Floyde as he interrupted the middle-aged man's sentence.

"My Lord, I will explain it to you after we go outside-"

"When are you going to stop playing this stupid act?" said Floyde in a raged voice with confidence in him. He wasn't scared right now because he had seen the middle-aged man act obediently to him ever since he played the role of 'Demon Lord Belial'.

"W-what do you mean, my Lord?" said the middle-aged man in fear, as his heart started beating faster when he heard 'Demon Lord Belial' enraged.

"Stop FAKING! Tell me the truth why you brought me here after buying me from the woman. And I know you're telling lies about slaughtering 7,000 people. The Police would've been here yesterday when they heard about this commotion!"

"B-but that body of yours, my lord. I-its really a vessel for you. We brought it here in this large hall after buying it." said the middle-aged man as drops of tears can be seen falling from his eyes and snot from his nose and the fire that was igniting from his palm extinguished leaving the hall dark again because he thought he would really die today. He knew that people who would enrage a 'Demon Lord' would not leave alive.

"Tsk! Okay, I'll continue playing with your act. So why did you reincarnate me?" said Floyde as he was pissed.

"We reincarnated you Lord because the cult thought this would be the right time to--"

While he was talking, a purple glowing collar suddenly appeared on his neck, which caused him to stop talking midway. Floyde who could see through the dark and could see what was happening. The middle-aged man's eyes started becoming red, his face color was turning bluish. Floyde could see blood from the middle-aged man's eyes slowly dripping to his chin until they dropped to his white cloak. He was having a hard time breathing that he couldn't fully say what he was saying. Floyde didn't care anymore why they brought him here as his eyes were fixed to the middle-aged man...
