Chapter 12: Acceptance

Somewhere unfathomable, 2 persons were walking down the spiral stairs. It was dark, only one person was holding the torch for them to see and the other one was chained up. "Wait! He might die. He needs information about this place," said the person who was chained.

That person broke free from the chains, rushed back up the stairs. "Where the hell do you think you're going?!" another person said as he rushed to the one who escaped.

--

Floyde was sleeping soundly, dreaming, but then a voice came in his sleep. "Here, this is the knowledge you'll need."

[. You are now in a world where magic is normal. Remember, magic is 'normal'. There are continents in here, 2 or more, that's for you to figure out yourself. ]

[. You are in the Izura Continent where there are powerhouses, and you're in one of them, the Lunora Kingdom. ]

[. There are many species you'll encounter that are not possible to be seen by the naked eye. There are many mysteries that lie in this place that you'll solve. ]

[. Wars are frequent, you are special. Don't let yourself cause all the trouble. Your future is limitless, but there are times you'll rise and back down. ]

[. You are now living in the body of a person named Floyde Wolfe, 18 years old. He has the same name as you, so you might be comfortable with it. And yes, you died and your soul came here. ]

[. Go to the Town of Ecrin. Floyde lives there with his aunt and uncle. ]

[. The reason you're here can't be explained right now, but I hope soon I could tell you. I will not erase your memories, but hope for you to fulfill your dreams in this new world. ]

[. But remember, you are special don't let anybody-- ]

Floyde abruptly woke up. Sweat trickled from his body, his eyes shifting left and right, pantingly taking a breath.

What just happened puzzled Floyde. His head was hurting, it was focusing on something else. In that sleep of his, he entirely remembered what that voice had said. Unlike other dreams, you don't mostly remember anything.

Floyde got out of the bed he was in and looked around. He was in a room, or rather a bedroom. There was a wooden floor, wooden wall, and a glass window by the opposite side of the bed, and more things that any bedroom would have.

Suddenly, the door opened. "Heya, kiddo."

" ... "

"How's your sleep?"

Looking at the person, he saw he had a grey cloak on and long blonde hair. Floyde immediately remembered what happened before he woke up.

He was supposed to go back home after leaving Amira's village, but he collapsed in the forest from not enough sleep and energy.

"Thank you," Floyde said. "I'm sorry for the trouble."

"No worries," he replied, and laughed. "It would be weird to leave someone alone sleeping in a bush. Did your girls kick you out?"

Floyde asked, "What do you mean?"

Laughing, he said, "With that face of yours, I wouldn't believe you would only have one girlfriend."

Glancing at his side, Floyde looked at the full-body mirror. He now remembered that his face was different. Floyde recalled what the voice told him: "You are now living in the body of a person named Floyde Wolfe."

Avoiding the blonde young man's question, Floyde changed the topic. "Um. But where am I exactly?"

"Those girls probably just threw you out here with no consent," the man said. "We're in the town of Merton, lots of bars here, kiddo."

'Hmmm. Town of Merton. I've never heard of that,' thought Floyde.

Floyde asked something to make this lingering thought in his mind disappear, "... You know Germany? America? Or Japan?"

The young man pondered for a second and replied, "... Hmm. Sorry, never heard of those."

Floyde's eyes widened. He wanted to make one thing clear, so he said, "Are we on the Izura continent."

The man who was at the door instantly appeared in front of Floyde seriously at an imaginable speed. The gaze of the man peered through Floyde's spine. He filled it with murderous intent.

"Who told you we are on the Izura continent?" said the man with a threatening voice. "Out of tens of millions people, only less than a hundred knows this is the Izura continent. So who told you?"

'If I tell him it was from a dream, would he believe me? Or even if I say I died and came here, would he believe me? But I have to check if this is all true,' Floyde said in his mind.

"Can you do magic?" Floyde asked, avoiding the question once again.

With an imaginable force, he had to spit out blood. It rammed Floyde back into the wall. He heard his back break a few bones, and maybe some parts of his ribs, too.

"You mean this?" nonchalantly said the blonde young man to Floyde.

Heavy pressure filled the room. Floyde couldn't get back down, he was stuck in the wall as if something was restraining him from going down. He felt his heart getting tighter, that everything it tightens, the more excruciating the pain gets.

"This is gravitational magic," the young man said. "And since you know this is the Izura continent, I have no choice but to kill you to be silent."

'Shit!' Floyde said to himself.

Suddenly, the heavy pressure of the young man collided with another pressure- it was Floyde's. A dark aura covered Floyde, his eyes started glowing dark that made black flames eventually appear in his eyes.

"Hahaha. Interesting, it seems that this kid has exceptional talent in magic," the young man said as he released Floyde from his magic.

Floyde came back to his senses. The colliding pressures were now gone that Floyde gasped for breath and panted heavily.

Floyde noticed and remembered everything that happened right now. Unlike last time when the 'Voice' possessed him, he didn't remember what occurred and only the part when 'Master Oglog' (The white robe middle-aged man) started calling Floyde a 'Demon Lord'.

The dark aura and flames from Floyde's eyes was one thing Floyde didn't notice, he didn't even realize that he was releasing pressure same as the blonde young man. After catching a breath, Floyde spat out more blood from his mouth.

"That was too much pressure, shit!" the young man said, as he rushed to Floyde and let him drink a small potion from his cloak.

Gulping on what he just drank, Floyde felt his body getting stronger and full of energy. "You almost killed me there!" exclaimed Floyde to the blonde-haired man.

"Relax. I already gave you the potion. See, you're full of energy."

Flood stood up and now agreed to himself that this isn't his world. Looking back at all the encounters he had lately, it's all connected to him being in this new environment and a new body.

"Since you're awake, you should go back to sleep again. It's midnight and I'm tired," said the blonde-haired. "Scooch over there, please. I'll sleep on the right side of the bed and you'll be on the left side. It's big enough to fit us both."

Floyde just nodded at what he said. He saw the window, and it was dark. He obviously had to sleep, even though he was full of energy.

While both of them were on the bed, the young man said, "I'm Luis. What about you, kiddo?"

"I'm Floyde," he answered. "And about what you said that I have an exceptional talent in magic. What do you mean by that?"

After Floyde stated his question, rather than anticipating a reply, he heard the person beside him snoring instead. 'Sigh. He wasn't listening. I guess he exhausted himself out. I'll just ask him tomorrow,' Floyde said to himself.

Realizing that, Floyde also went to sleep. But little did he know Luis heard everything he said. 'Did this kid not remember what he just did? No, no. He remembered everything, but he didn't notice it... whatever, I'm too tired to think.'

Okay. ;))
