Portgas D. Ace

Before the start of the chapter, I want to say I thought really hard about how I wanted to do this. I really think I came up with the best way to make everyone happy with this way of doing it, but please give me feedback so I can change it if everyone really dislikes it. Anyways enjoy the chapter.

After explaining to Jasmine the intricacies of the Flying Thunder God, he left towards his cave in the Scarlet Mountain Range. Jasmine had gone to sleep for the next week, which was perfect for what he wanted to do. He looked at his CP and realized he had enough for what he wished to do.

"System buy Portgas D. Ace's body and the Mera Mera no Mi," he said

[Ding! Purchasing body of Portgas D. Ace and Mera Mera no Mi for 6000 CP!]

[Ding! Purchase authorized. You now have 1460 CP!]

"Perfect, it's time to get the party started," Shuji said while grinning. In front of him was a body of Portgas D. Ace with his trademark clothes and hat on. The body was in perfect condition, and many would think that the body was just sleeping if not for the lack of breathing. After composing himself, Shuji walked over to the body and put his hand against Ace's body.

"Soul Clone Emergence!" Shuji mumbled. Suddenly Shuji felt a tremendous amount of pain within his soul. This was the first time he felt like this, and it was the most pain he had ever felt. The soul clone worked by taking a speck of his soul and using the Profound Qi in the air to stimulate the rest of the soul needed. The loss from his own soul would be replenished in less than a week due to how small the piece taken was. This technique also revitalized the body in question as long as there was no significant damage. It did, however, drain every drop of Profound Qi he had currently. Then, slowly but surely, all of the organs in the body started working, starting with the heart all the way to each individual skin cell. Exhausted and in pain from the slight split in his soul, he fell to the floor.

Only after about 20 minutes as he finally felt well enough to stand up and look at the body. The body seemed to be comatose, but he could feel the connection linked from the soul clone. This soul clone worked as a better version of Nagato's six paths of pain. He could freely move all of them as they were separate entities using two trains of thought. Shuji stared at the body for a couple of minutes before he could see the body's eyes start to slowly open. Shuji's soul clone began to stretch a bit before looking at Shuji.

"Well, it seems like all went well." Shuji made the clone say. Shuji was highly excited and started to see the particulars of the soul clone. He could feel every part of the soul clone's body and see as well. He now had to try and maintain two separate thought processes, which he was starting to fail at. It was basically splitting his brain into two. He kept trying to move both bodies and tandem, but one would always be unable to move. Either his main body would fall over, or the body of Ace that he was controlling would. Finally, after a few hours of testing, he could get the exact specifics of the soul clones.

The first is that this was not like regular shadow clones where he could use a bit of mental strength to supply them with their own consciousness. If he wanted to control them, he had to split his consciousness. This was extremely hard as it was basically seeing double, with just one clone. Imagine if he was to try to control another body and still coordinate properly?

Second, if his mind could not handle the burden from seeing double, he could turn off the linkage, but that would turn the clone into an emotionless doll with the strings cut. Third and lastly, some abilities and bloodlines would not carry from his main body. For example, if he ate the Mera Mera no Mi, his Ace soul clone would be unable to use it. After finishing his thoughts, he could no longer stand the partitioning of his studies, so he turned it off. Shuji was at a loss as, without intensive training, he would not be able to use this soul clone. This would take a long time, so he decided to ask his trusty system.

"System is there a skill that can help me partition my thoughts for soul clones?" he asked.

"Wow, system, you are quite generous. Can you give me a more in-depth explanation of memory partition?" Shuji asked because while he claimed to be competent and wise he was pretty slow in the head. (This is actually for readers to better understand the ability but Shuji doesn't need to know this)

[Ding! You may think of each thought partition as a room. Currently, you only have one room to which you can think. With memory partitioning, you will gain another room. With an extra room, you can run multiple different thought processes at the same time. By partitioning your thoughts you can use two thought processes to calculate one problem or think of two different problems at the same time as well.]

"Alright, I think I understand it now. Buy both thought acceleration and memory partition." Shuji said.

Shuji took a second to sit down before saying "Integrate the skills." These skills were much different than the other skills he had bought as they had fundamentally changed his brain. After a searing pain throughout his brain that didn't stop for close to an hour, he started to slowly open his eyes. His thoughts were now running at lightspeed. He tried doing some calculations only to find a 5-10x increase in his calculation speed. Now his soul was like the main computer while he had two subset thought processes calculating to the same goal. With this, he could now control both him and the Ace soul clone by himself.

"HAHAHAHA…. I can now play two characters at once! With this, I can now start bringing more and more anime characters into the world." Shuji said while laughing to himself. He grabbed the Mera Mera no Mi and threw it to his soul clone. It was quite weird moving in two bodies at once but due to the memory partition, he was able to make it work without too much trouble. The soul clone caught it and then began to eat it. The clone's body erupted in blue flames until dying down revealing an unscathed body. While his soul clone was eating the fruit he had decided to name his thought partition according to the thought process it would be linked to. For example, this new thought process would go by Ace in public. He would refer to this partition as "Ace thought partition" so he wouldn't get confused.

Due to the new feeling of having multiple thought processes, he decided to take a few days to get used to this feeling of split perception as he would remain this way in the future. He also wanted his Ace body to do something for him in the next few days so, he started getting used to combat with two thought processes and trained some of Ace's skillset. He did spars with himself with the thought partition and developed moves like Hiken (Fire Fist) which was Ace's signature move.

He found that he could also use the system with his soul clone which was perfect for him. The only difference was that if he asked for his status, it would show his current thought partition (Or body) stats. His Ace thought partitions stats currently looked like this.

Due to it being a new body it lost the Uchiha and Zoldyck bloodline but gained the body's bloodlines such as Portgas and the Roger bloodline. It also lost the artifacts that were stored in the Sky Poison Pearl as well as Divine Dividing. For skills, it lost all Jutsu, Nen abilities, Hado, and Bakudo. This was mainly due to the body being incapable. Apparently, his main body was modified to be able to use skills from any energy system that this new body did not have. This left only the knowledge he receive from Itachi as well as movement and sword skills from Zanjutsu and HoHo. The plus side however was that this body was extremely compatible with Haki and the Mera Mera no Mi. As for cultivation level, when he asked the system responded by saying that soul clones receive the same cultivation only because of how pure the energy in his profound veins is. The system also said something about only selling perfect techniques but Shuji filtered that out.

With the problem of soul clones solved he could finally move towards the next part of his plan which involved getting the Phoenix Inheritance by the Ten Thousand Beast Mountain range. Luckily during this time, Jasmine was asleep as he didn't want to explain how he was controlling two bodies. As far as she was concerned if they ever met Ace it would be a completely new person. With this Ace left towards the Phoenix Inheritance while Itachi continued training. After all, a week was not enough time to get used to multiple thought processes.
