What else can he do but to work hard and win her heart back? ----- “First of all, I don’t believe in reincarnation.” “I’m not saying anything about reincarnation.” “Then what?” she raised a brow. “Time traveling? Are you sure you haven’t been watching too much sci-fi?” She pursed her lips when he didn’t say anything. “Let’s see,” she flicked across the pages. She watched him nodded and shook her head in disbelief. “You’re out of your mind.” She stood up and leaned towards him to place her hand on his forehead. He flinched. “What are you doing?” “Checking to see if you had a fever,” she said with a sigh. “But you seem healthy.” “I’m not sick.” “I know.” “I’m not crazy.” Yang Yun closed his eyes when she looked at him in doubt. He had been searching for her for years. And right now, the love of his life was standing right in front of him. But she doesn’t seem to remember him. It was as if her memories of the past, the memories of him have all been forgotten. She lifted her hand, and her fingers rested on his cheek. “I like you, Yang Yun.” She drew her hand and frowned. “But I don’t understand why you keep telling me about these stories. Why are you forcing me to accept this?” She closed her eyes briefly. “Sometimes, I wonder if you really like me, or am I just a substitute to someone you knew in your past.” ----- Author's Note: The main genre of this story is Romance. It Was an Accident

Xiao Mi caught the treat in his mouth and began munching. Then he noticed the arrow on Mingyue's shoulder. The cat climbed up and patted softly towards the arrow with his paw.

"I won't die from this," Mingyue said. "I'll get it treated after we get out of this place." Mingyue peeked from behind the tree and saw two people heading towards her direction with a torch in their hand. She grimaced. "They're very persistent."

Xiao Mi made a meowing sound. He rubbed his head on Mingyue's cheek and purred.

"We wouldn't have to steal them if they just let us pay for it," Mingyue sighed. "It's not like I'm going to take them all. I just need a handful if it."

"At least they are now separated from the others." Mingyue peeked at the two men again. Then, she crouched down to gather some pebbles.

Mingyue hid her body behind the tree and flicked a pebble in her hand. Once the two men got closer, she flicked her fingers, and the stone struck one of the men in the back of his head.

The man dropped down on the ground like a massive log along with the torch in his hand. Soon, the fire hit the dried leaf on the ground. A small patch of leaves was on fire and slowly spread towards the man who was lying on the ground, unconsciously.

Seeing the scene, the man's partner quickly ran away from the scene, screaming for help.

Mingyue cursed inwardly seeing that the man's friend had escaped, leaving his friend near the fire. "Oh no," Mingyue's face paled as she watched the fire getting bigger. She came out from her hiding spot and tried to put out the fire around the unconscious man using her cape.

Xiao Mi looked at her and meowed.

She glanced at Xiao Mi and saw the cat looking at her accusingly. "It was an accident!"

Seeing that it was not an easy task to put out the fire, Mingyue lifted the man by his armpit and dragged him away from the scene. Right now, she wanted to cry but had no tears. If only her third brother were around, it wouldn't be hard to drag this man away.

She gritted her teeth as the pain on her shoulder intensify.

Mingyue placed her fingers at a spot on the man's neck. She heaved in relief knowing that he's alive. Then she started to pull him farther away from the fire. Sweat began to form on her forehead, and the pain on her shoulder intensified as she dragged that man.

She has to bring him to a safer place at least. She can't let him burn to death.

She only came to steal some of their precious herbs. She did not want to kill anyone accidentally!
