7 Intruder

(do check out paragraph comments in this chap where u see its blue)

Captain Kazaliur needed to find an alternate way of escape, either that or hide long enough till the security lowered down. He could easily take down these soft fleshed humans, but he wanted to blend in which is why it was important for him that people in IAEA didn't find out what his new appearance was.

When he saw so many people at the exit number four he traced his path back to the room where he underwent transformation.

In front of the room he saw many people gathered there in the uniforms, including their hot headed leader from earlier and one particular woman dressed in white with metallic stripes in contrast to black with grey stripes the rest of the team was wearing.

"Dr. Ray, is there any kind of malware in the system?'' Their leader, the one who was dressed in white, asked.

"It will take time for me to figure that out". She said nonchalantly as she was busy typing a code on the machine outside the door. "The security system seems fine to me, I don't understand how the intruder got in without the code". She looked back at the leader.

"Let's go inside," the leader suggested once Dr. Ray opened the door for them. She instructed a few members of her team to stay back in case the intruder is spotted nearby.

Captain Kazaliur witnessed the whole commotion from the corner of the corridor while he hid behind a wall. Whole time ZIA was whispering in his ears, translating everything that was being told.

What he found weird was that they thought he broke into the room. He was sure the door of that room was kept open by itself? Then how come they were not aware of it?

He found that peculiar, but didn't have much time to ponder upon it as his foot hit something. It created a tiny noise, but in the empty hallways it was loud enough to cause an echo which ultimately grabbed the rest of the guards attention.

He looked around to find an escape but it was more or less surrounded. It was a corner, so there wasn't really any place to go.

The guards approached at a much faster rate and each one of them had different kinds of weapons, since they were not sure of the physiology of the intruder. All of them raised their weapons and circled the corner more cautiously.

That corner was relatively dark so they used their own lights to illuminate and looked carefully. They never knew the size of the intruder. What if they were so tiny that they managed to escape the normal human gaze.

For a spaceship like that it had to be at least someone of visible size which is why they were keen on finding out who it was. After a thorough search they found a tiny rat nibbling on a piece of bread that was left half eaten in the garbage.

They sighed with relief as they realized that's what made the noise in the first place. It was ironic how brave they were supposed to be as a member of such an elite team, yet they were relieved they won't have to fight an alien. It's like you are relieved because you don't have to do your job.

When they left the rat ran away at the same time following those guards. It would be too bad if it attacked one of them. How ironic would it be that they were scared of alien species but instead getting attacked by a mere species that belonged from earth?

Captain Kazaliur laughed internally at the irony of the situation as he got back on the floor. His telekinetic abilities came in handy at the very last second when he noticed how high the ceiling was. He simply used his powers to levitate himself and stick himself to the ceiling for the time being. It wasn't technically flying, but it worked.

He looked around much more closely for any signs of guards before taking his leave. He was here for far too long and he needed to find an exit, even if it wasn't a conventional one.

"ZIA, show me all the ways anything that could leave this building apart from the official exits"

"On it sir". It paused for a moment before it said. "There are two more ways. One of them in the launch centre of the IAEA, and the other one is the interconnected vents. It's very small, but may be able to accommodate your size".

He looked above and was able to locate the vent on that corridor. He heard few voiced coming near him so he opened the lid of the vent and went inside. He barely fit inside which is why it was very difficult for him. ZIA wasn't much help when it came to directions so he was roaming around blindly. He even tried going up in some cases.

After a long while he could see a blue light coming from the end of the corridor. He approached it hoping it to be an exit from this place. He saw a large spaceship with big letters written on it which According to ZIA was IAEA. He was mesmerized by its beauty, he wasn't yet sure how functional it was but damn it had a beautiful appearance.

He was lost in its beauty when he heard a few noises. He thought maybe someone was checking up on the ship but something seemed a bit off. He looked closely to get a clearer view of who it was. Whoever it was, they were wearing dark black robes and their face was covered. The robes had neither something written over it nor did it have any kind of symbols that he spotted on many of the workers here.

The place was empty except from that person and Captain Kazaliur himself who was hiding in the vent. Instead of going for the ship he went for the systems and did something on the computer. Usually he might understand what was happening, he was exceptionally good when it came to gadgets, but the foreign language made it much more difficult.

As if the things weren't already peculiar enough, after a significant amount of time the person took off his hoodie and revealed a dark greenish shiny skin, and a head that was attached to the body via a neck that was too long to be a human. His pitch black eyes stared at the screen as a tiny smirk appeared on its face.

That is when he noticed that the entrance to this place was actually shut, which is why no one was here. It made him ponder, were aliens who looked like aliens allowed to work here? Was he the only intruder this place had or these humans had a proper reason to worry after all?
