4 chapter 4

His fingers gently tapped the chair's armrest as he mentally replayed the recent scene at his store.

Did he feel the crisis?

Yes

he wasn't the kind of person who could meet death with a smile and composure, especially if it struck suddenly. However, he didn't spend most of his time contemplating how to evade or flee from death. If that were the case, he wouldn't have spent four years of his life subsisting on an egg-centric diet, almost like a snake.

At its core, he possessed an ordinary soul, much like any other. Ordinary souls don't dedicate most of their existence to evading impending death; instead, they relish life's simple joys. They bask in the sun's warmth, engage in friendly conversations, and delight in the laughter of companions.

In a fantastical world where wonders dance on the same air one breathes, experiencing these wonders becomes a part of life's simple pleasures. It's preferred to embrace them positively rather than suffer from their effects.

So, he returns to the same point. The presence of Avengers and X-Men members in the same world transforms it from "relatively safe" to "be unlucky for a day if you're a man." This heightened his fear, but like any person with feelings, he desires to experience the uniqueness of this world.

Human nature craves benefits without drawbacks. Now, he's planning his next steps. The resemblance of Rasputin and Logan to their cinematic counterparts creates a minor dilemma, as Rasputin wasn't part of the X-Men during this period, making him doubt if the world truly resembles what's depicted in movies.

However, the majority of his knowledge regarding the X-Men is rooted in the cinematic universe, leaving him with limited insights. This reliance presents a problem.

While most of the X-Men's significant events primarily impact mutants, they also have repercussions for ordinary individuals. Unlike the Avengers, whose events are set to occur around thirty years from now, the X-Men's storylines will unfold in just a few years.

Apocalypse and the Phoenix, along with the temporal complexities within the films, make it challenging to pinpoint when the Phoenix will manifest. Nevertheless, he maintains a strong belief that Apocalypse will make an appearance in the movies, likely within the next three to four years.

This means a shorter timeframe than the time he has spent with this miniature world. He isn't intelligent, nor does he possess any personal superhuman powers that would enable him to participate and protect himself at the moment. However, he does possess this world with immense possibilities and plans to make the most of it.

Ever since he planned to cease making significant changes to the planet's structure, he's now focusing more on conscious beings, especially addressing some of the issues they've begun to face.

He didn't consider short stature a significant problem, as it came with its own benefits such as stability and reduced bone fragility. Therefore, his plan to distribute the growth fruit in the central continent was intended to maintain or, more accurately, attain humanoid or semi-humanoid forms.

The limited lifespan of these humans could become a concern in the future. It's not an immediate issue, but if his forthcoming plans are successful, it may pose a problem.

While their short lifespan might not hinder the development of their civilization and could even offer certain advantages, it could be seen as a drawback in their interactions with longer-lived civilizations.

Imagine a race with an average lifespan of 30 years, with an average peak of 6 years compared to creatures with an average lifespan of 70 years.

Humans in this miniature world possess numerous advantages. Thanks to thousands of years under gravity four times stronger than Earth's and harsh conditions in their environment, they have gained three times the strength of ordinary humans. Under Earth-like gravity, their strength would be equivalent to that of Captain America, at least among the strongest of them. The same applies to their toughness, endurance, immunity, and adaptation to temperature fluctuations.

While lacking precise statistics, these miniature world inhabitants typically exhibit slightly weaker and slightly stronger traits than Captain America in various aspects. However, these advantages are not without drawbacks. Their agility and speed are subpar compared to ordinary humans due to their physique, and they hope that the Growth Fruit can rectify this issue. Regarding their intelligence, it's not a deficiency; in fact, their intelligence can match or even surpass that of ordinary humans in certain respects. Their ability to assess danger, respond to disasters, and adapt can be likened to some animals. They have devised numerous strategies and tools for disaster management and hunting. Nonetheless, their environment doesn't foster the full potential of their intelligence.

He had also planned to address this issue, but on a smaller scale. He reconsidered his future plans and started taking action. Initially, he wanted to wait and observe how humans would respond to the Growth Fruit before delving into anything related to extending life. However, as his plans accelerated, he decided to take risks. He slowed down time within the miniature world and removed the "guardians" around the fruits, implanting a dream in each person near those fruits, encouraging them to approach and consume them upon waking. A couple of years ago, such multifaceted actions would have been nearly impossible, but after days and months of experimentation, he became skilled at it. With his expertise in creating growth plants and Growth Fruits, he began crafting something similar.

However, this time, it's not a fruit. In contrast to the height issue, he wants to extend the lifespan of all the people in the miniature world, not just a select few. So instead of modifying a fruit again, he's altering a flower to release chemical compounds into the air that can be inhaled by humans. These chemical compounds can be modified to increase human lifespan. However, such an endeavor cannot be accomplished in a single day; it's divided into multiple stages, requiring a lot of trial and error, and it takes a considerable amount of time. Therefore, he chose not to focus entirely on this endeavor and, instead, concentrated on modifying another fruit while waiting for the longevity flower modifications to stabilize.

And the third plant he would modify is a specialized plant to enhance intelligence.

It's true that they don't suffer from intelligence deficiency or related issues, but compared to the environment they live in, their intelligence is limited,

especially since he restricted them from access to minerals.

He still remembers that day,

approximately a year and a half ago, when humans began discovering minerals, and it didn't take long for them to find ways to use them as weapons, making hunting much easier for them.

At that time, he felt a crisis.

Minerals are valuable for technological advancement, but they also represent a weakness in biological evolution,

or at least that's what he believed.

He's not against technological progress, but he had modified this planet from the beginning to support biological evolution. The discovery of minerals felt like a return to ground zero. While he welcomes technological advancement, especially in the Marvel world, it's not something he wanted for this planet. He might consider supporting such an endeavor on another planet.

So, besides the already extracted minerals used by the inhabitants, he caused all other minerals near the Earth's crust to sink deeper into the planet. This turned minerals into a valuable resource on the planet, and weapons made from them became tribal treasures passed down to the strongest warriors in each generation.

However, these days, he began to reconsider his decision. Not in terms of bringing the minerals back to the surface but in allowing some mechanical advancements. He realized that his initial action was somewhat unwise.

Nevertheless, if he were to choose the main reason for changing his mind, it was due to a revelation when he observed humans in the western regions of the world, which bore a striking resemblance to the fantasy dwarves. So, while contemplating ways to modify the Intelligence Fruit, he began searching for a suitable continent among the six continents. His choice fell on the coldest continent, the Western Continent. He identified the largest mountain range there and extracted a significant portion of minerals from the Earth without causing earthquakes, distributing these minerals randomly within these mountains.

This reshaped his focus towards the three plant species he was modifying or in the process of modifying.

The Growth Fruit will be distributed only in the central continent, the Intelligence Fruit in a selected part of the mountain range (with consumers yet to be determined), and the Longevity Flower will be spread across the entire planet. Most aspects have been determined, leaving only the application, and there's just one remaining issue tied to his plans.

No matter how strong he makes the inhabitants and creatures of his world, a random drop of water on the miniature world could still cause global extinction. Therefore, he faces one last challenge that will open up many possibilities

He twitched his eyebrows in annoyance

how to make the beings in his world larger?
