At the edge of Tempest, on top of a cliff, overlooking the ever-growing city.

Acnologia and Irene sat at the edge of the cliff. Both silent, listening to the wind while watching the sun going down.

It was kinda of awkward, the two came here to talk about their relationship from now on. Before, they were like friends, in a sense, but now, they were more than friends, they are to be engaged to each other.

It may be a political move, but don't kid yourself, no matter how you phrase it, a relationship is a relationship and it needs to be addressed.

However, neither know how to address the situation.

Irene looked at her huge Witch hat and smiled "Marriage, huh!" She spoke, finally.

"Hm..." Acnologia shifted his gaze to her to listen.

"I... didn't think that I would actually get married again." She said.

"...Why?" Acnologia spoke.

Irene smiled as she played with her hat "It's....old wounds, if I can call it that." She said.

Acnologia wasn't knowledgeable about Irene's life before she came here or before he met her in his last moments. "...I thought you decided to live a new life here." He said.

Irene sighed "Yes, I did." Irene replied "So did you right?"

"...Yes." Acnologia answered, he did. He swore that he will.

"But, don't you think about it...who we were before?" Irene spoke "I still dream about those days, the gaze my so called husband gave me when I needed him the most." Irene opened her heart for the first time in a very very long time "He feared me, shunned me and sought after my life, not minding I had our child in me."

Acnologia listened to her speak her heart. This was a special moment, Acnologia wasn't an idiot to realize that she wanted to come clean to him about her past, to be true to him.

Even though, she was speaking about such hurtful past, Irene didn't cry.

Crying time was over, thousands of years ago.

"You know, I tried to build a new family here, decided that 'New world, New me' " she said.

"Did you get hurt again?" He asked.

"No!" Irene answered with a chuckle "No, It was like, I couldn't. I was still attached to my old life, I grabbed at anything that reminded me of it." She said.

"That seems counter productive." Acnologia commented.

"Indeed. I missed my daughter, I missed Belserion, I missed it all. When I met the druids and the world tree, I realized that if I built a new life here. I will forget them eventually." She said. "

Acnologia nodded "But you have to." He said. "Just like you, I missed my daughter too. That damned tree, just made it worse."

Irene looked at him "You had a daughter?" She asked.

"...And a wife too." He added "Just like you, I had it all, until one day, a nightmare started, a nightmare that I wish never happened. Lost my home, wife, daughter, relatives, neighbors, friends, all in a day."

"Hm...." Irene nodded "Well I guess the Black Wings had to be born from something." She said. Tales speak about Acnologia as only a Dragon killer, but now she understands, The Apocalypse was hurt, very badly.

"You and I are in the same boat, we may not want to forget our old lives....but we have to. For them, for my daughter, your daughter and anyone who ever wanted us to be happy. The cruel past must not hunt us anymore, and a new life must be built here." Acnologia said as the sun tuned crimson red, he turned his face at just the right moment to see Irene's crimson hair mix with the crimson sun as her face glowed beautifully. For a moment, Acnologia was stunned.

Irene smiled at him "Who know that you will be so inspiring." She said as she giggled.

A moment frozen in time, their eyes met and locked as they gazed at each other.

"So...would you like to?" Acnologia mumbled.

"Like what?" Irene only asked.

"Build a new life." He added, his eyes studied Irene's every feature, but what captivated him is her crimson hair that fluttered in the wind.

"I would love to." She answered, tucking her hair behind her ear.

"With me?" He added once more.

Irene looked at his eyes for a moment "I would love to do that too." She responded.

Both of them stayed silent before they turned away from each other to gaze at the sun set once again. And at that moment, they decide to bring their bodies a little bit closer.

"The sun went down." Acnologia spoke as the sun was nowhere to be seen. So maybe it was time to head back.

"Yes, that it did." Irene only answered, they stayed silent again before Irene added "Would you like and stay to watch the moon?"

Acnologia thought about for a second...it wasn't a bad idea, maybe he should stay with her for some time. Just a little bit more "Sure. Let's do that." He spoke.

Irene started chuckling "Fufuhaha~!"

"What are you laughing for?" Acnologia asked.

"Yeah, nothing... Its just... It feels good." Irene added.

Acnologia looked at her giggling brightly, he only grunted and sighed. Let her have her fun, he thought.
