-Alex pov-

As the tree's trapped the demon. He thought, 'step 1 Weaken the demon, Done.' Alex knew this was far from enough to deal with its huge stamina, but if the demon can't eat, it can't replenish stamina, so his goal is to make his enemies tired as fast as possible to gain the edge in this fight.

When the demon got off the tree, immediately, Alex attacked.

'Fifth Form, Flame Tiger...'

He thought as he aimed for the demon's neck, but before it could land the killing blow, the demon dissapeared into the shadows, making the sword hit the ground. A huge dust cloud was lifted by the strength of the hit, leaving Alex in a panic because he couldn't see well with this dust.

His senses screamed for him to dodge to the left, and as he did so, a shadow hit where he was. 'Her blood demon art is weird.' For a glimpse, he saw the demon far away and didn't hesitate to attack.

'First Form, Unknowing Fire...'

He appeared behind the demon and attacked its neck. To which the demon responded by catching Alex's sword.

"You're getting faster...!" Said the demon, surprised.

Alex kicked the demon as hard as he could. When the hit landed, the demon spit some saliva because of the unexpected blow. He used this window to put more strength into his sword, cutting through the demon's hand. The sword continued until the demon barely dodged by twisting its body in a weird position as multiple cracks were heard.

After getting away from Alex, the demon had an emotion that it had never felt before... fear.

Even after so many battles, this one human didn't show any weakness and was even growing stronger by the second. This gave her a flashback.

One wounded man with a demon slayer kimono stood at the feet of hundreds of demons, five lowermoon and one uppermoon corpses.

It was a flashback, or was it? It didn't matter as she teleported behind the man with an attack already on his neck.

'I need to get away!' He thought, but his body wouldn't move fast enough and he knew of the incoming attack. Suddenly, his mind accelerated and everything around him went way slower. He used his newfound speed to dodge the attack even after it was so close.

*Agility rank upgraded*

The demon was confused as to how he dodged, but now her instinct told her that he was even more of a threat now. She tried to move but couldn't because her instinct knew she wasn't fast enough to escape.

"W-what happened." She murmured.

"You don't need to know." He answered.

She then saw barely a glimpse of him right in front of her, and she immediately lifted her arms to block him. only for her neck to be cut in half. Before being completely erased out of existence, she thought, 'What... Did I make a mistake?'

Alex looked down at the demon who, while crying, was disappearing, and he thought. 'Like I said, I won't be hit by that back story, no jutsu...'

Step 2: Breaking through the agility rank barrier and putting an end to the demon. Two step plan, honestly very simple and risky, but simple doesn't mean it's wrong.

(Next morning)

A worn-out Alex could be seen eating noodles. He didn't really care about the name of the dish. All he needed to know was that it tasted good. The reason why he was so tired was that he had stayed awake for 3 days straight and had fought multiple times a lowermoon and he had to kill every small demon that was around. '...but it was all worth it.' He thought. (1)

Even though now he can't grow from killing normal demons, at least he was stronger than before. The achievement for defeating a lower moon gave him 10 points per stat and, apparently, a regen skill, but he couldn't prove it yet.

Currently, he had to wait for a crow to tell him what his next mission was. He was sitting on a bench with nothing to do. 'Without much action, what am I supposed to do?' He was wondering what to do before his next mission because, well, he didn't do much except fight and observe.

He certainly liked fighting, but if he only did that, he might burn out or go crazy. After looking at himself, he noticed his worn out clothes from all the fights. 'I think getting new clothes might be a good idea.'

While walking, he gave his food to someone poor on the street and then walked into the city center. While searching for the clothes shop, he noticed a bandaged up little girl with white hair. 'Wait... Florida man, demon slayer, and now MHA! You've got to be kidding me about how much more complicated is this world!'

The girl/eri looked very lost, like she didn't even know where she was or more like when she was... Not to sound creepy, but he was likely observing the guy who was observing her. '... and a pedophile. This guy disgusts me, but at least I have a way to get information by saving her.'
