Yakushi High Vs. Seido High 4

2nd Inning, the bottom started. Yakushi was batting this inning.

Yonehara walked to the batter's box as the audience continued cheering on their favorite teams.

On the mound, Furuya prepared himself to pitch. The moment, Miyuki gave a signal he threw his pitch.

"Strike!", said the umpire.

Next came Moriyama and he was struck out as well.

"1 more out, Furuya!", yelled Sawamura from the dugout.

Furuya glared and ignored him.

"Hey! Don't ignore me!", yelled Sawamura from the dugout.

Kazuma came to the batter's box.

'He's a little hard to deal with but nothing I can't handle', thought Furuya as he struck out Kazuma.

"3 Outs! Change!", said the umpire.

"Furuya is starting to get into his rhythm. He didn't allow a single run during this inning. Is Seido getting back on track?", said the announcer.

Yakushi's Dugout.

"Furuya is definitely getting back his rhythm", said Raizou worried.

"Isn't it a little dangerous?", commented Sanada.

"This is why it's good that our team scored 4 runs in the 1st inning. Now we can risk it", said Rei grabbing his ball and entering the field.

"Did he just say RISK", said Sanada. 'I have a bad feeling about this'.

3rd Inning, Top Started and Seido was batting.

Higasa came to the batter's box and was struck out.

Next, Furuya came to the batter's box which people were anticipating in the audience.

"Furuya! Furuya! HIT IT!", the audience cheered.

'I just have to hit the ball and score a run to help the team', thought Furuya getting in his batting position.

On the Mound, Rei was finding Furuya's concentration to be funny. He trembled trying to hold in his laugh. He calmed down when Kazuma signaled him his next pitch.

Calming down, Rei threw his cutter.

Furuya let the 1st pitch go since he wanted to feel what kind of a pitch Rei throws.

"Strike!", said the umpire.

Rei threw the 2nd pitch and Furuya hit it toward the 3rd base.

Rei was anxious seeing the ball go towards the 3rd base since the person guarding the place was super unreliable. He sighed just remembering the moments Raichi tripped and fell when he attempted to catch anything. Basically, he sucked at defense.

"KEHAHAHHA…Rei-Kun I got this", said Raichi as he ran towards the ball to catch it.

The next moment, a miracle happened and Raichi actually caught the ball without tripping or anything, but he just stood there until Furuya made it to the base safely.

"Safe!", said the umpire.

Meanwhile, Yakushi players sighed frustratingly as they knew about Raichi and his skills.

"I guess even Rei's training couldn't fix him", said Raizou looking towards Raichi on the field.

Back on the field, With 1 base full and 1 out. Asou came to the batter's box next.

"Asou-Senpai more hips. Remember hips!", yelled Sawamura from the dugout.

"Sawamura! Shut Up!", Asou replied as he took his position. 'I will hit it and help Furuya move up'.

Rei threw his pitch as instructed by Kazuma and struck out Asou not giving him a chance.

'Damn it', thought Asou throwing his bat as he walked back to the dugout frowning.

In Seido's Dugout.

"Kuramochi, you got this", said Miyuki. 'There are already 2 outs. You have to hit if you don't then the chance, we have to score in this inning will be useless'.

Kuramochi nodded. 'I need to make it to the base. Though I can't believe that the brat has improved so much that we are having trouble playing against him'. He grabbed his bat and walked to the batter's box while glaring at Rei.

On the Mound, Rei smirked at Kuramochi as he felt his glare. 'I need to have some fun with him'. He thought laughing internally.

As Kuramochi got into his batting position, Rei threw his pitch.

'W-what is this?', thought Kuramochi seeing the ball rise as it came closer to the mitt. 'isn't this ball familiar to the one Rei threw to Miyuki'. Realizing this he looked up at Rei and saw him smirking at him.

"Strike!", yelled the umpire.

'That bastard how dare he play with us like it's nothing. I have to show it to him that we have improved as well', thought Kuramochi taking his batting position again.

A Few Minutes Later.

"3 Outs! Change!", said the umpire.

Furuya frustratingly walked back to the dugout. 'I made it to the base though…'.

Rei was jumped by his teammates as soon as the inning ended since he's currently completely dominating Seido.

Meanwhile, The Seido's dugout was feeling pressured even though it was only the 3rd inning.

"Though the current situation is bad it could be worse", commented Nabe. He had come to the dugout to help out the team since now he is a manager.

"How?", asked Miyuki.

"The worst nightmare would be if the game is called. I could see that happening in the future. Especially this inning since Yakushi's upcoming lineup is strong", said Nabe.

Miyuki went into thought looking at this situation. "What do you think?", he asked.

"It would be best if we think about switching Furuya soon", said Nabe.

Miyuki had expected this decision to come since Furuya hasn't been doing good on the mound. "Let me discuss it with Coach", he said.

Nabe nodded as Miyuki went to talk with Kataoka.

After a few minutes. Miyuki came back from talking with Kataoka.

"What did the coach decide", asked Nabe curiously.

"Coach said to wait for 1 more inning then we can switch him with Sawamura", said Miyuki.

Nabe smiled upon hearing this. He knew this was the current best decision since Sawamura was In good shape and had been practicing new pitches.

The 3rd Inning, Bottom Started. Yakushi is batting.
