Yakushi High Vs. Akikawa Academy.

Today, the match between Yakushi High and Akikawa Academy was scheduled.

In Yakushi's Dugout.

"How are you feeling? Rei", asked Sanada.

"I'm kind of excited", said Rei grinning.

"Why?" asked Sanada curiously.

"Oh, about that I heard Akikawa's Ace has awesome control, so I just wanted to witness his pitching and possibly hit a home run off of it", said Rei as he explained.

Sanada nodded silently.

"Anyways, why are you asking me so many questions suddenly? What's the matter?", said Rei.

"Nothing. I'm bored since Raichi is in the locker room", said Sanada.

His reply left Rei speechless.

Raizou who was listening in the conversation snickered from the side.

Akikawa Academy's Dugout.

"You leave it all to us, Shun".

"We got this"

"We're only playing against Yakushi High, that 'Dark Horse' school".

"I heard they improved".

"How much can they improve in a short amount of time".

"Yeah, think optimistically and just score".

"Yeah, we should leave all the rest to Shun to worry about"

'I hope you guys actually score some runs. I'm getting a bad feeling just thinking about Rei and his pitching. This is quite frustrating…', thought You Shunshin.

Back in Yakushi's Dugout.

'Thinking about the Mission, it stated that I need to achieve a no-hit game. My best bet will be to strike everyone out but that will be hard to achieve. Let's aim high; even if it's a ball, I don't think it will affect the mission. I have to say this mission is a little tricky, but I can't afford to fail this because of the penalty', thought Rei dazed sitting on the bench.

"The match is about to begin in 10 minutes. GET READY!!", said Raizou.

Rei nodded and took a deep breath as he prepared himself.

After 10 minutes, everyone was in their position ready. An alarm rang signifying the start of the game.

Ninomiya came to bat first.

(Author's Note: I forgot that Yakushi is pitching first and Akikawa is batting first. I think you might have noticed by now but it's always like that ;).)

Rei took his pitching stance as he readied himself to throw.

Ninomiya gulped feeling the aura Rei was emitting.

Rei didn't use to have an intimidating aura before but as he got more experienced in playing the matches in this world, he developed it and obviously with the help of the system.

"STRIKE", yelled the umpire.

'A-already, I couldn't even react', thought Ninomiya as he stared at the ground surprised.

Rei threw 2 more strikes and Ninomiya was out.

Hashimoto and Oonishi came to bat next, and both were struck out.

"STRIKE 3. CHANGE!!", said the umpire.

'Yosh, got through the 1st inning without letting them get a hit', thought Rei as he jogged to the dugout.

In Akikawa Academy's, Dugout.

The atmosphere was a little gloomy.

"It's fine. It's only the 1st inning. Cheer up", said Ozaka cheering up his team.

"Yeah, the coach is right. We still have time. As Hashimoto said before that you guys worry about the runs, and I worry about pitching. Let's do that and you guys better come through with the runs", said You Shunshin.

Instantly the face of the players brightened up and said, "We got this!!".

Shun nodded and walked to the mound. 'I won't lose', he thought.

Back in the field, the game resumed.

Akiba came to bat and was struck out.

Masuda came to bat next and was struck out.

Mishima came to bat next and was also struck out.

'Whew', thought Shun as he walked back to the dugout.

Entering the dugout, he was faced with smiling faces.

Next inning, Rei came to the mound.

Shiratori and shun came to bat next and were struck out.

Tsushima came to bat next.

Rei threw an inside fastball to strike him out but unexpectedly Tsushima persisted by fouling.

Rei clicked his tongue as he found it annoying. 'Che…why do you have to persist just go back to your dugout'.

Finally, Rei struck him out after throwing a cutter.

In Akikawa Academy's Dugout.

"Damn it!!".

"Why can't we hit his pitches?".

"Didn't you guys underestimate the team too much", said Shun as he walked to the mound.

Back in the Field.

As the game resumed, Raichi came to bat.

"HAHAHAHAHA…I heard from Rei that he is a great pitcher. I can't wait to hit his pitches", said Raichi as he walked to the batter's box.

'He's holding a wooden bat when high schoolers nowadays use a metal bat…', thought Shun as he analyzed Raichi.

Raichi swung his bat as soon as he saw the ball. The ball went over the fence.

Shun stared at Raichi not knowing what had just happened in a blink of an eye. 'W-what…what?', he thought flustered.

"RAICHI!!"

"HOME RUN!!".

"YAKUSHI HIGH IS ON FIRE!!".

Exclaimed the fans.

Grinning Raichi touched all the bases and went to the dugout.

In Yakushi's Dugout.

"HAHAHAHA…GOOD JOB RAICHI. YOU FINALLY HIT A HOME RUN. Here's a banana for a reward", said Raizou as he handed Raichi a banana.

Raichi's eyes twinkled as he grabbed the banana right off Raizou's palm.

Sanada and Rei both shook their head witnessing this scene.

Author's Note: I just wanted to inform you of this if you didn't know. "In general, when a batted ball is ruled a foul ball, the ball is dead, all runners must return to their time-of-pitch base without liability to be put out, and the batter returns to home plate to continue his turn at bat". This is why this counts as a no-hit for his mission.
