70 Transferring to Yakushi High

A Few Days Ago.

The Day Rei went home after visiting the principal's office.

**KNOCK** **KNOCK**.

"Who is it? At this time", muttered Chiaki as she went to open the door.

"I'm Back!", said Rei smiling.

"NOO! Why are you here?", said Chiaki.

Rei was stupefied seeing his mother's reaction.

A few minutes later, in the living room.

"So yeah, I decided to switch to Yakushi High", said Rei explaining the situation to his family.

"Don't you think you were too reckless", said Reiji.

"I can finally see my grandson becoming a man unlike his father", mocked Grandpa.

Reiji avoided his gaze.

"I support you. If those people didn't treat you right then I am glad you chose to go to Yakushi", commented Chiaki.

"Thank you for supporting me, omma", said Rei.

Chiaki went and hugged Rei.

Grandpa and Reiji felt like they had been abandoned since they didn't get their hugs.

The Next Day.

Rei went running outside.

'Honestly, I think it's too late to join the fall tournament even if I transfer to Yakushi. Well, I guess when I'm a 2nd year I can be an ace. It's not like I won't be able to qualify to be an ace. My skills speak for themselves', thought Rei as he ran.

After an hour as Rei was running back home. He stopped as he saw someone fall off a bicycle. So, he immediately went toward that person to help them.

"AGH!!", winced the person who had fallen off the bicycle.

'Shit, I'm in trouble', thought the person.

"Do you need any help?", asked Rei approaching the person.

"No Thank- ", said the person.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!", yelled Rei and the person looking at each other.

A few minutes later, in a park.

Rei and Sanada were both sitting on the bench after the little incident.

"What are you going to do now?", said Rei concerned looking at his injured leg.

"It's my bad luck that this is happening right before the fall tournament is starting but anyways what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be practicing with your team wearing the ace number", said Sanada.

Rei scoffed and told him that he had left Seido and why.

"Those ungrateful scums. How could they let go of such a player? To be honest, I don't want to admit it, but I do think you're better than me at pitching", said Sanada.

"I know", said Rei.

"Seriously, shouldn't you show some kind of remorse", said Sanada.

Both of them chuckled looking at each other.

"So, now what? Are you not going to be the ace and be a relief pitcher, that sucks man", commented Sanada.

"Oh, I decided to transfer schools", said Rei casually.

"EHHHHH!!", exclaimed Sanada shocked.

"WAA!! I haven't seen someone transfer because of not getting the ace position but I guess you're a different case", said Sanada.

"Yep", said Rei.

"So which school is it? Let me guess, Ichidai High. Since I think, you would like to go to those elite schools", said Sanada.

"Your Wrong, I chose Yakushi High", said Rei.

Sanada turned silent and looked at Rei shocked.

The Next Day.

Yakushi High's Field.

After the little talk, Rei and Sanada had. Sanada dragged Rei to the school's field even though Rei hadn't been officially transferred yet.

Walking into the Yakushi field, Rei felt a very different vibe compared to Seido.

Seido's field used to be clean and professional, but Yakushi is totally different just as Rei had expected.

Raichi on the side was swinging his bat and Raizou was yelling at the other players.

"It's a little chaotic since it's the last practice before the fall tournament", said Sanada awkwardly chuckling.

"Sure", said Rei nodding as he looked around. He kind of liked the vibe here compared to Seido.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA…Rei, I can't wait to hit his pitches. HAHAHAHA…", said Raichi swinging his bat in the corner.

As Rei heard the comment, he smirked and started walking toward Raichi.

"Ya...where are you going?", said Sanada.

Rei tapped Raichi's shoulder.

"Why are disturbing m-", said Raichi as he turned around.

"Hi", said Rei smiling.

"AHHHHH GHOST!!", screamed Raichi.

Sanada almost died laughing seeing Raichi scared.

All the other teammate's attention turned toward them hearing Raichi's scream.

They saw Rei standing before Raichi and thought Seido came to mock them. So, all of them walked toward Rei with hostility.

"Wait…wait…listen", said Sanada stopping them.

Rei just stood there awkwardly.

Sanada informed them of the situation and how Rei was transferring to Yakushi.

Raizou who overheard the conversation approached Rei and put his arm on the shoulder.

"Call me coach from now on", said Raizou.

"Ano…I haven't officially transferred to this school yet", said Rei.

"Leave that to me and you join the rest of the team's practice", said Raizou.

"Sanada, follow me", said Raizou as they walked to his office.

Sanada nodded and followed.

In Raizou's office.

"I saw you limping what happened to your leg", said Raizou.

"I fell off the bicycle today", said Sanada.

"Ah, Soka", commented Raizou in thought.

"Now since Rei is transferring, we can replace you", said Raizou.

"Aren't you glad Rei is transferring here?", said Sanada.

"Of course, it gives our team a great advantage", said Raizou smiling.

Sanada nodded.

"Let's aim for Koshien this fall", said Raizou.

"Anyways, what are you going to do about Rei's transfer", said Sanada.

"Like I said leave that to me", said Raizou smirking.

"I'm going to go to the director's office while you go inform the team of your injury", said Raizou walking out of the office.

"Agh, why do I have to do your job", remarked Sanada.

In the Director's office.

"Come in", said the director hearing a knock on his door.

"Hello, Director-san", said Raizou entering the office.

"What's with you today Raizou acting all respectful", said the director.

"I knew It. It didn't suit me", muttered Raizou.

"So, here's the deal. Seido's Pitcher, Rei, wants to transfer to our school", said Raizou smiling.

"You're joking, right? Why would he leave Seido's professional team and come play in a public school?", questioned the Director.

Raizou happily informed the director of what happened with Rei in Seido.

"HAHAHAHA…I'm so glad that happened. And about Rei's transfer. He can come to school tomorrow", said the director.

"As expected of our director", said Raizou flattering the director as he walked out of the office.

'Now all that's left is how to organize the team and the lineup. What a pain in the ass. I hope Sanada informed the others about his injury', thought Raizou walking to the field.
