Chapter 148- The devil

Declan returned to work at the office after a few days off. He had shaved and trimmed his hair short, resuming his sophisticated appearance. He looked as dashing as ever in his navy-blue suit. However, the pile of files on the table gave him a headache. He, who never showed laziness at work, didn't want to stay in the office for long. He wished he could rush back to the hospital and sit beside Yasmin so she could see him first when she opened her eyes.

What if she came out of the coma when he was still working at the office? She would undoubtedly conclude that he was uninterested in her. It would only aggravate her rage, and he feared she would refuse to meet with him.

This thought disturbed him, and he couldn't focus on anything. Still, he picked up the file that his attorney had just sent him and went through it.
