Chapter 79

Keith watched Alex kiss his own arm happily. He's been too ecstatic since the doctor removed his cast this morning. He has been waiting for this day to happen in the last two weeks.

"Are you that happy with your arms?" Keith chuckled as he lay down beside Alex.

"Is it that obvious?" Alex grinned.

Keith nodded. "Yeah, you're like a giddy kid who finally came to an amusement park for the first time."

"I'm not a kid." Alex pouts. "Hmm whatever, no matter what you say I'm too happy today. I'm happy I could finally hug you like this." Alex said, wrapping his arms around his husband. "Got a problem with that?"

"Nah! I'm not complaining. How could I complain when I'm being loved like this?" Keith enveloped Alex in a much tighter embrace.

"Keith.."

"Hmmm?"

"I'm really really happy right now. I'm so happy that I'm scared something will happen."

Keith gently pushes Alex's body away from himself and stares at his husband intently. "Stop thinking like that, okay? Worrying is not good for you and Bean. Instead you should think that things will get better and better moving forward."

Alex nodded and proceeded to hug Keith once more. They stay like that for a while, letting themselves get drunk with each other's pheromones. Moments like this may not be something special for other people but for Alex who hasn't been able to have this for the last two weeks meant a lot. Too much that it's making him emotional.

"Are you crying?" Keith asked. He could not get used to Alex's mood swings but he found it too adorable that it didn't bother him.

"It's just the hormones, okay?" Alex replied defensively. He just continued sniffing Keith's scent.

"You really like my pheromones?"

"Yeah, so don't bother me and just let me have my way."

"That sounded very lewd for some reason." Keith chuckled.

"Keith!!" Alex exclaimed and started lightly punching Keith's arms.

"Why are you getting mad? Is it still because of the hormones? Ouch!" Keith laughed as he tried to avoid Alex's punches. It doesn't hurt at all but Alex's face while trying to hit him is so adorable that he teased him so he would do it more.

"I'm not being lewd, okay? It's just Bean likes your pheromones. It's not because I like your scent. It's all because of Bean. Got it?"

"Yeah I do. It's because of Bean." Keith replied with a salute which made Alex giggled.

"Anyway, let's calm down first." Keith said.

He shouldn't have started the talk about lewd stuff, both of them got a bit excited and not having done it in more than two weeks is not helping at all. He's at his limit and so is Alex. It's not that they are not allowed to, the doctor said it should be fine as long as they are careful. However, doing it in the hospital is no good. Alex scolded him for giving him a blowjob last time and told him not to do it again even though it was actually the Omega who always initiated it. Not that he could say it out loud or else Alex would scold him again.

"Alex.."

"Hmmm?"

"I just remembered, I have something to tell you."

"What is it?"

"I have to fly back to the island. I still have some work left to do." Keith explained. His work halted when Alex was hospitalized. Now that he is getting discharged, he decided that it's okay now to go back and do the work he left behind.

"How long will you be gone?" Alex asked.

"Hmmm, about a week I guess."

"Ohhh. Okay." Alex replied dryly. He doesn't know what to respond considering what happened the first time Keith was away for business.

"Alex, I would like you to come with me. I couldn't be at ease leaving you here alone."

"How about my internship? I can't leave it just like that."

"Don't worry about your internship, I won't allow you to go to the office if I'm not around. Besides, you can still work while I'm on a business trip. You can assist Dana with the work and we can explore the island before we open it."

"If.. if I'm not alone will you allow me to stay back?" Alex asked. The idea of exploring a private island with his husband is quite tempting but a sudden thought crossed his mind.

"What do you mean not alone?"

"I want to stay with my parents while you're not around. I can still do my work, Colin can drive me to and from my parents house." He's still concerned with his internship but he doesn't want to use Keith's position for his internship. He wants to complete it fair and square.

"No. I don't like that." Keith shaked his head disapprovingly.

"I will be with my parents. I'll be safe there, I promise I won't go anywhere without informing you." Alex pleaded.

"No. Don't you want to be with me?" Keith replied. He kinda felt disappointed that it's only him who cannot bear the thought of being away from each other.

"Hey, don't be sad. You don't know how much I want to be with you. You knew how hard it was for me to not be able to hug you when you're just here beside me. What more if I won't be able to see you and smell your pheromones for a week?" Alex said, trying to pacify his husband.

"Then why won't you come with me?"

"My mom told me that Mattie will be on leave from work and he will be at home for a week. I want to patch things up with my brother and I know we just need to sit down and have a talk. I want to take advantage of having Mattie at home, he can't escape from me and I'm tired of his cold treatment already. Besides, we agreed to face your family once everything is okay with mine and we can't do that until Matt accepts us." Alex explained. He was hesitant to be away with Keith but this silent war between him and Mattie has been going on for too long. He wanted to be with Keith without worrying about his brother.

Keith sighed. He could not argue with that, what Alex is saying makes sense as he knew how hard it is for his wife that his brother is not talking to him. Alex valued his brother's blessings more than anyone and he respects that.

"You have to call me everyday."

"Yes. I will even let you talk to Bean for thirty minutes." Alex replied happily knowing Keith just gave his permission.

"You will not leave your parent's house without Colin or your other bodyguards. Promise me."

"I promise." Alex replied, raising his right hand.

"You will not go to work. You will stay at your parent's house unless it's necessary." Keith added.

"I promise…. wait what? I want to go to work. You agreed already, you cannot take it back." Alex complained.

"I never said yes to anything."

"What about my internship? I've already skipped it for two weeks. I need to catch up on my hours." Alex pouted.

"No. It's either that or you're coming with me. You are still in the early stage of your pregnancy, we have to be careful. I will not be able to do my work properly if I worry about you and Bean while I'm away."

"That's not fair." Alex complained, Keith knew he could not bargain anymore since he used the Bean card. "Fine, I will just stay at home and I will not leave my parent's house without Colin."

"And?.."

"And I will not go to the office."

Keith smiled and pulled Alex closer to him.

"One more thing."

"What?"

"Be prepared. I won't let you out of bed for a week when I get back."

"A week? Is Keith serious about that? How would he survive a week doing that?" Alex thought to himself, he can feel his face burning just from thinking about it.

"Alex, stop fidgeting and go to sleep."

"Fine."

"Ohhh, there's one more thing."

"What?" Alex replied irritated. He wants him to sleep but he could not stop giving him orders.

"I love you."

His irritation immediately evaporates. Alex slept with a huge smile on his face.
