Chapter 51

"The boss is at it again." Chloe said, sighing at the man who just left Keith's office.

"Is there something wrong?" Alex asked curiously.

"Did you see that dejected man who came out of the president's office? He's probably got chewed out by the president." Chloe asked as Alex's eyes followed the direction where the man went through. When Alex nodded, Chloe continued her story. "I'm not sure if you notice how they all look tired and exhausted after coming out of the boss's office. You see, the president is well known within the company for being meticulous and he will leave you dry and high if you cannot live up to his expectations. Even the old directors tremble whenever the president drills them in their presentation." Chloe proudly elaborated her knowledge to Alex who listened intently.

Alex turned his eyes towards Keith's office. His president or his business persona is far from the Keith that he knows. The Keith that he knows is a gentle and caring husband to him. They have been married for a few days now and Keith has been showering him with too much love and affection. He even enlisted Sebastian's help in preparing his meals because he keeps insisting that he's still skinny.

"Alex, the president asked for a cup of coffee. Please prepare it immediately and send it to his office" Dana's voice interrupted his thought's and Chloe's gossiping.

"Another cup? The president is really into coffee these days." Chloe said incredulously. "Or maybe he just likes the person delivering it." Chloe glanced at Vera's direction who just rolled her eyes in response.

"Maybe he just didn't sleep much and just wanted to keep himself awake." Alex meekly responded while glancing at Vera. The woman has been quiet these days and he doesn't want to irk her again because of Chloe's prodding.

Alex went to the pantry to prepare the coffee for Keith. He made a mental note to ask Keith to limit his coffee intake. He really does keep asking for coffee these days because that husband of his is using coffee as an excuse to see him and kiss him. He could swear anytime now people would notice his lips were swollen after delivering the coffee.

Alex walked towards Keith's office and he could feel the intense glare from Vera as he walked past her. Chloe's big mouth really woke up Vera's animosity towards him. He tried to ignore the Beta woman and just knocked on the door so he could immediately escape her deathly stare.

"How many cups of coffee do you plan to consume to— … I'm sorry I didn't know you're with someone Mr. President." Alex could not finish his sentence and immediately spoke to Keith formally.

"It's fine don't worry he knows about you." Keith replied to Alex and gestured for him to come towards his husband. Keith took the tray from Alex as soon as he was near enough. "Sit." Keith stood up from his chair and let Alex sit on it.

Alex stares at the man standing in front of them, his curiosity is killing him. Why does this man know about him?

"Alex, this is Colin, he will be your bodyguard from now on." Keith introduced the man to Alex.

"What? I don't need a bodyguard." Alex complained. Never once in his life he thought that he would need a bodyguard. He's just an ordinary person.

"Every member of the Andersen family has their own bodyguard. You are my wife, you are an Andersen now." Keith explained. "Besides it would give me an assurance that you are safe even if I am not with you." Keith knew he could count on Colin, he is one of the best from their men next to him and Martin.

"But Keith, I don't want to stand out. People would definitely wonder why I have a bodyguard and we agreed not to announce our marriage yet right? I'm just not comfortable with this." Alex countered.

"Yes I know. Please bear with me just this once." Keith turned the swivel chair so that he became face to face with Alex.

Alex heaved a sigh knowing he cannot win against Keith on this one. "Fine, but only when you're not with me and I don't want him to stand too close to me." Alex said with a compromise.

Keith nodded and gave Alex a kiss on the top of his head. He guesses no need to tell Alex there are others watching him from afar, well aside from Colin. They can say he's paranoid but once people knew about Alex he's life might be endangered like from those vigilante groups who hate rich people or from anyone who hates him. He would not let any harm befalls on his wife.

Vera seethes in her seat as she stares at the president's door. That Omega slut has been inside the room for a while now. How long does it take to deliver a cup of coffee? When she was doing it, no matter how she tried to prolong her stay inside the maximum she could stay is just around five minutes. It has been twenty minutes now and that Omega still hasn't come out.

She really needs to find a way to put that Omega in his place. An Omega like him shouldn't even dream of being near a dominant Alpha like Keith.

"Dana, Mr. Andersen said you should come inside." Vera heard Alex say to Dana as soon as he got out of the room.

Martin came out of the room right after the Omega, the other guy in suit also followed him. The both of them sat at the couch right outside Keith's office where Martin would normally sit if Keith was in a meeting or if he's not at the security office.

Vera noticed how the other guy is glancing at Alex's direction. "Hmmm.. seems like the slut caught someone's attention." Vera thought to herself. She should consider this aspect to keep the Omega away from Keith. However, she still needs something else, something with more impact.

The phone on Dana's desk suddenly rang and since Dana is inside the president's office, it is upto Vera to take the call. She lazily transfer the call to her local line.

"Keith Andersen's office, how may I help you?" Vera lazily asked, but her mood changed when she realized who was calling. "I don't think that would be possible.. hmmm how about lunch time tomorrow?" Vera speaks in a friendly manner which would make anyone think she is talking to a friend. "I'll see you then." She smiled brightly as she ended the call.

She happily types on her computer and continues her work as if she was not smirking and giving Alex a death glare a while ago.

She finally found the person that would put Alex in his place. Someone that would make that slutty Omega realized he doesn't belong in the world of Keith Andersen.

Vera glanced at Alex's direction, an evil glint plastered on her face. It was so brief for anyone to notice.

Soon Vera was humming to herself. Excitement coursing through her veins. She can't wait for tomorrow to come.
