20 Chapter 18

"Sir!"

Keith heard Dana called out as she knocked to gain permission to enter his office. "Yes? Come in." He replied and turned his gaze back to the documents in his hands. Though honestly he has been staring at that page for a while now. His mind is already filled with Alex's image, his luscious lips, the sound of his moan, how in sync he moves with him. Having these thoughts, how could anyone concentrate?

"Mr. President, Mr. Dwight and his team are already at the meeting room. We can start when you're ready." Dana informed Keith efficiently

Keith nodded and put down the document that he had been staring into for the last couple of hours. He stood up and took his coat and wore it, making sure he looks neat and presentable. He's someone who doesn't bother with his looks or how people see him, but just for today he wants to look especially good.

Dana on the other hand subtly raised her eyebrow at her boss' action. Keith doesn't usually wear his coat if he is just having a meeting with the employees. Keith hates being too formal, he only does that when meeting a client, business partner or someone important to the company. Either her boss is trying to intimidate someone or he is trying to impress someone, but that should be impossible. There is no one of importance in that department. Well not that she knows off.

"Are you coming with me?" Keith asked his secretary who seemed to be spacing out.

"I'm sorry Sir." Dana apologized and pinched herself to cool down and after a deep breath, she's back to her professional self and follows Keith to the meeting room.

At the meeting room.

"I wonder why we are all called here to attend this meeting." Sophia, a Beta member of the planning department whispered to her colleague.

"I don't care. At least I get to see our handsome President." Rica answered back while giggling. Rica is also another Beta and also one of the many employees who are dreaming of becoming the next Mrs. Andersen. The whole company knows that Keith does not want an Omega to be his partner, keeping the hopes up of all the Beta and Alpha female employees.

Dwight faked a cough to castigate the two gossiping employees. He himself is not sure what to expect at this meeting. This is very unusual and it's making him anxious. He doesn't like dealing with the president as he is someone that is superior to him as an Alpha. It annoys him that men and women crawl at Keith's feet, begging for him to take them.

Dwight recalled that one time he was at a bar, he was out with some friends and an Omega slut came to their table. That the Omega knows instantly that he's the leader of the pack and can smell that he is loaded. It was no surprise that she clung to him, his friends showing their obvious jealousy, making him feel more superior than everyone else. That is until that bastard Keith arrives, men and women flocked that bastard and even the Omega slut who's clinging to him, ditched him to try and be noticed by Keith. He hated Keith since that moment.

He hated Keith even more when his father forced him to work in the company where his Uncle is a director, which turned out to be the Andersen Enterprise where Keith is the president. He either works for the Alpha or kisses the money his father is giving him to support his lifestyle.

To him Keith's presence is a hindrance to a normal Alpha like him. It annoys him even more that he has to wait for him like this.

Alex and Dan, unlike their colleagues, are unbothered and unconcerned about the upcoming meeting with the company president. It's their first time attending such a meeting and they have no past experience to compare it from. To them it was just part of their training and they should do whatever it takes to learn during their time here at the company.

The two Omegas sat on the far end of the meeting room, fidgeting and sighing simultaneously. But unlike the rest of the people inside the room, the two of them are getting anxious for a whole different reason. Their head is still occupied by the events from yesterday that they have yet to share with each other.

The door to the meeting room opened, everyone in the room suddenly stood up, bringing back the two Omegas out of their reverie. A slender and sophisticated woman holds the door to allow the man behind her to walk inside.

Dan heard Alex gasping for air beside him. He looked worriedly at his friend and found him holding his mouth with his hands as if trying hard not to breathe. His pale is turning paler than usual, his eyes grew big as he stared at someone. Dan's eyes followed Alex's line of sight and realized his friend was looking at the handsome man who just walked in.

Dan's eyes wander to Alex and back and forth to the man who he presumed is the president they are all waiting for. He saw the president looking at Alex too! They are staring at each other!

Alex saw the man walk in and he knew instantly. He is the Alpha he had bonded with. Not because he recognized his smell but because of the way he's looking at him now. He still remembers that gaze. It's the same intense stare he gave him that night they first met. That gaze coming from his soft brown eyes makes his heart beat so fast. He broke their eye contact as he felt like his knees might buckle and gave out.

"Good afternoon everyone. You may take your seat." Alex heard the Alpha say as soon as he took the seat at the center of the table. He sat down, still feeling that the Alpha is still staring at him.

Keith silently tapped his fingers on the desk as his employee discussed the result of last month's operations and he guessed including the next month's forecast. He tried to listen as much as he could, he's afraid that Alex might bolt out of the room if he stares a bit longer.

His brows furrowed when he realized that yet again it's the assistant manager who is discussing and presenting. That useless nephew of Director Cole just sat there and let his subordinate do all the work. If not for Director Cole who is one of the Senior Executive in the Company and a close friend of his father, he would have fired that idiot long ago. He swore, just one wrong move from this useless bastard he would fire him immediately. To hell with Director Cole.

Alex continued to look down, afraid that if he looked up he might lock eyes with the Alpha again. He can't hear anything that is going on inside the meeting, he's mind is getting blank. Out of all the companies that would accept him for Internship, why the hell did he end up in the company of the person he is trying to avoid. He and Dan vehemently decided to apply to this company, had he known he would meet the Alpha here, he would have gone to another company even an unknown one would do. Anywhere but here.

"That would be all Mr. President. Do you have any questions?" April politely asked as soon as she finished her presentation.

"Thanks Ms. Lopez. Please send the reports to me for further checking." Keith replied with a curt. "I hope in the next meeting, Dwight would grace us with his expertise and do the presentation himself." Keith said, smiling sarcastically, taking a jab at the useless Alpha.

Dwight clenched his fist at the obvious sarcasm from Keith. "Sure Keith, next time." He replied smiling. He wants to get back at the other Alpha for humiliating him in front of his staff.

"Can't wait for it." Keith replied back.

Everyone inside the room can feel the tension between the two Alpha. The Omegas and even the. Betas felt a chill down their spine at the amount of pheromones the two Alphas were emitting.

"Oh by the way Dana, you said we need an Intern for the Executive Secretary's office right?" Keith asked his secretary, who was caught off guard by his question for a moment.

"Yes Sir." Dana replied immediately.

"Hmm since you have two Interns and we badly need one at the moment as Dana is really slumping with work. I'm taking one from your department." Keith said casually. "April what's the name of your Interns?" Keith asked the assistant manager, ignoring Dwight who was about to protest.

April gulped before answering Keith. "Alex Fernandez and Dan Stevens Sir." She replied ignoring her boss' glare.

"Okay. Starting today Mr. Fernandez, you'll report at my office."
