"You should wear something lovely," Grace insisted, trying to pick out something sexy from the closet, but Ann shut it insistently.

"No, this will do. It's just a small family dinner, and I've always dressed this way for dinner. Why should this be any different?" Ann asked, looking at both Brenna and Grace, who were lying down on her bed. 

"Well, for starters, maybe because someone special is joining us for this particular dinner," Brenna said with a shrug. 

"Special? Is either of you dressing up for dinner? Or I'm the crazy one who should dress up and look out of place like an idiot while the rest of you look normal?" Ann asked, crossing both hands over her chest. 

It's been almost two weeks since she has been home with her family, and in this short period, she had settled in really quickly and was getting very much along with every member of the family.
