Friends?

Tae-Joon sat quietly beside Ann on her hospital bed, wondering why she wasn't saying anything to him. He liked how she always used to have something to say and never ceased to raise conversations and amusing questions. He felt kind of awkward just sitting beside her in the quiet hospital room.

He didn't like that his grandfather had insisted he stay beside her all day and not go anywhere close to the company. Else he would have found an excuse to leave here already and bury himself in his work. He wasn't used to not doing nothing like this, and it was making him restless.

Was she possibly going back to her former self that didn't care about him? Was all that talk about her loving him and believing they were soul mates just 'talk'?

Tae-Joon shifted in his seat uncomfortably, oblivious to the face that Ann, who had woken up from sleep some minutes ago, was watching him through her half-closed eyelids.
