Chapter 5

Ning Baoxi was pregnant.

It had been 4 months after their marriage when Ning Baoxi started showing signs and was diagnosed to be 3 and a half months pregnant.

Since then everyone treated Baoxi like porcelain.

Mo Jiangshen, especially, listened to all the precautions the doctor said and took advice from his nanny, and had her look after Baoxi along with two other servants.

Ning Baoxi was ecstatic to know he was pregnant and sent a letter to his parents who came to visit him and told him many things regarding childbirth and pregnancy.

Unlike most people, Baoxi didn't show many signs of pregnancy discomfort except for having morning sickness occasionally and some feet swelling. Jiangshen made sure to rub soothing oils on him every night.

Baoxi was happy for a couple of weeks and was extra careful until he was near his 5th month.

Baoxi started to get restless.

He hadn't done anything with Jiangshen in nearly a month and a half!

He was always feeling a little uncomfortable and asked about it to his nanny. The nanny replied by saying that it was normal for pregnant people to get a little hyperactive and since his first 3 months had already passed it was fine but with some restraint.

Baoxi was so delighted he chose a suitable outfit for himself and planned to pounce on Jiangshen as soon as he returned.

Unfortunately, Baoxi was pampered since youth and with the addition of pregnancy, fell asleep long before Jiangshen returned.

Jiangshen came home to a torturous scene and had to wipe Baoxi's feet with the soothing oils and go to sleep as if nothing happened.

In the morning, Baoxi was so upset that he fell asleep and in addition to the raging pregnancy hormones, couldn't help crying pitifully which ended with Jiangshen taking the day off and accompanying him to his heart's content.

Jiangshen took him around for a walk, a change of scenery, and didn't allow anyone to follow so that they could do it with peace of mind whenever they wanted. Baoxi especially liked it when Jiangshen had his way with him in the secluded gazebo outside while he was sprawled out on the table.

Afterward, Jiangshen made sure to feed him extra well and ordered his favorite things, and fed him the food personally as Ning Baoxi laid lazily in his arms accepting the care good-naturedly.

When they came back, Jiangshn bathed him and tucked him into bed.

Ning Baoxi was content for a couple of days before he got restless again and this time he decided to plan it right.

After receiving his goodbye kiss from Jiangshen, Ning Baoxi readied himself then ordered his servant to leave him alone so that he could do some painting and ordered not to be disturbed for at least 2 hours. Once they all left, Ning Baoxi draped a shawl and snuck himself into Jiangshen's office pavilion, and entered.

Mo Jiangshen was unhappy at the sudden and rude intrusion and was about to rebuke the servant before he recognized Ning Baoxi's silhouette and walked over with a chuckle.

"Axi, what are you doing here?" he said taking off the shawl and layering small kisses on Baoxi's face. He rubbed Baoxi's belly," Does the baby want to see his father?"

Baoxi hummed triumphantly and led Jiangshen to sit down with him, "Yes, yes the baby did."

Jiangshen smiled, and gave him a long sweet kiss," Why did you come to the study suddenly Axi?"

Honestly, Jiangshen had known that someone was coming as his secret guards had informed him but he didn't know it was Baoxi and wanted to see who it was.

"I missed you," Baoxi said honestly, drilling into Jiangshen's robes.

Jiangshen would've been touched if Baoxi didn't immediately start to be dishonest and started stripping.

"Axi...."

"Hubby, I'm uncomfortable..." Baoxi whined rubbing against Jiangshen.

"I would fall asleep before you come so I can only come now," Baoxi accused upset.

"I'm sorry, there's a lot of work, and we shouldn't do it in the study..."

Baoxi was upset and suddenly felt very wronged. He looked like he was about to burst into tears," But I never see you in the day... except in the morning, I'm usually not like this... and I especially came to see you but-but you're rejecting me..."

"Okay, okay, I'm sorry," Jiangshen said, holding Baoxi closer," I'll take one or two hours off just to see you in the afternoons, okay?" he kissed Baoxi's teary eyes and lay him on the table after brushing some things aside.

Baoxi became excited and rubbed against Jiangshen insistently.

Mo Jiangshen coaxed Baoxi well and 2 hours later Baoxi snuck back into his room.

Since then Mo Jiangshen spent two hours every afternoon with Ning Baoxi, but Baoxi had especially liked the thrill of sneaking into Jianshen's office and would tell Jiangshen not to come and sneak over to the study himself like a thief, sometimes he would come in servant's clothing to role play.

Jiangshen was helpless, Baoxi wasn't very good at sneaking and many people noticed. Even his mom came to find him and laughed when she found out it was Baoxi. But Jiangshen didn't have the heart to ruin Baoxi's fun and indulged in the daily rendevous and escapades.

Who told his Baoxi to be so cute?

Baoxi was happy, today his father and mother had come to visit him.

Mo Jiangshen welcomed his inlaws good-naturedly for an hour before leaving to do some work.

Once he left, his parents looked at him seriously," Baoxi, how have you been recently?"

"I've been well! Everyone treats me really well!"

"That's good, that's good," his mom said, but his parents didn't seem to be very happy.

Baoxi frowned," What's wrong?"

His parent hesitated," Baoxi, recently we got wind that there was some servant entering and leaving Jiangshen's study..."

Baoxi was struck by thunder and then became confused," There's no way, Jiangshen is always busy and comes to check on me all the time!"

His dad looked grim," We heard that it was a slave, probably male, who always wears a shawl and comes in the afternoon and only leaves after an hour or two."

Baoxi's mind halted... wasn't that him?

Ning Baoxi blushed in shame and bit his lips. He wanted to bury in the ground.

His parents misunderstood and thought he was upset," Don't worry child, we'll deal with it for you, a slave dares to think so highly of himself! And that Jiangshen! How dare he treat my son like this! After he got him pregnant with his own flesh and blood! Shameless!" His father said lowly.

Baoxi's face turned different colors.

"Father," he spoke in a small voice," You misunderstood..."

"Misunderstood!? The fact that he is having a romantic rendezvous when he just married my son into his door? It hasn't even been half a year!"

"No! Dad! Listen!" Baoxi said with some difficulty.

"It was me..." he said in a whisper.

"What?"

"It was me!" he exclaimed a little louder than he wanted to and then immediately blushed and covered his face.

His parents stared at him and covered their faces. This stupid son.

His mother started laughing," You stupid child!"

His father's face was unsightly, a mixture of wanting to laugh and disbelief" How are you behaving like a thief in your husband's house?!"

"I-I just wanted to be with him more... and I was uncomfortable without him..."

His father started laughing," Why did you disguise yourself as a servant?"

"Because I wanted to!"

This only made them laugh harder.

"Ooooohhhh! You're bullying me!!! I'm pregnant and can be unreasonable!" Baoxi complained.

"Who told you that? Jiangshen?" his mother asked between giggles.

"Yeah!"Baoxi said looking like a little pufferfish.

"Okay, okay," his father said calming down," enough with this servant dress up! If it spreads out, it will ruin your reputation. Since that's all we were worried about, we'll take our leave."

The Nings then left making sure to shower Mo Jiangshen with compliments and blessings and scolded Baoxi once more before leaving and telling the news to Baoxi's anxious brothers.

Baoxi didn't meet Jiangshen like promised that day and when asked about it at night he retold the story grudgingly to Jiangshen.

Jiangshen was intrigued, who leaked the info? He'll have to thoroughly clean the mansion soon.

Seeing that Jiangshen wasn't surprised Baoxi was confused only to be aghast when Jiangshen told the truth about his inability to be stealthy at 5 months pregnant.

"Even my mom asked."

Baoxi ignored Jiangshen for 3 days.

Then he brazenly walked into his office in the middle of the day and only left after 2 hours.
