Chapter One:Transmigration

Kieran opened his eyes and was blinded by the light from the window. He got up to stare at the shabby dorm he was in. He felt like he had been in this room before. Then it dawned on him. Kieran had transmigrated into the past. He immediately grabbed his phone and checked the time and date. The phone showed him it was 4th July, 2042 and the time was 2pm. He has travelled back into the past. Kieran sank to his knees and cried like a child. He remembered all the suffering he went through in his past life to the extent of being rejected by his own parents. Now it was time to change the past. Kieran swore vengeance on everyone who wronged him. Kieran grabbed his jacket and rushed out to acquire a VR headset to play the MMORPG game ABYSSIS that would be released that evening. On the way, Kieran thought of how to exact his revenge and came to a conclusion. Kieran was to make money on the game which would become like a second world to mankind where magic and wonder exist. He would transfer his in-game currency to real money to upgrade his lifestyle. In Kieran's past life, he played the role of a healer while his so called friends became damage dealers and were recruited by the big guilds. Kieran was left wallowing in the dark. Kieran had to trade his most prized possession, an epic rank item named the Medallion of Growth to a guild leader to be accepted among them. But that was in the past. Now Kieran was going to increase his worth and teach his enemies a lesson. "I shall be all-powerful and mighty." said Kieran as he approached the Virtual reality equipment store . Kieran immediately demanded for the beginner package. The shop attendant gave him an ugly look before grabbing the package and thrusting it at him. Kieran indifferently handed over the money to her. Kieran then picked a taxi home. Kieran got home at noon and plugged in the VR headset. It was left with only a few minutes to the game's launch. Kieran lay on his bed and wore the headset.

Kieran found himself in a dark emptyness with a timer counting down the seconds.
