The Abyssal Mother

Jinah's newfound worship manifested itself almost immediately. The happy faces plastered on every denizen of paradise was enough to cement her belief. Jinah looks at Sera with newfound reverence. Sera looks at Jinah and speaks,

"I made you my apostle for one purpose. I want you to spread my belief. I want you to be the champion of my religion. In return, I'll make you the strongest being in your universe."

Jinah thinks for a second. She looks down at the happy planet, and feels a wave of completeness come over her. She finally has a purpose. She stands up with a new resolute conviction. She thinks to herself,

'H-how do I address the goddess I worship?'

Sera giggles and says,

"Just call me Sera. Though, this will be special just for you. Everyone else calls me Abyssal mother, Venerable one, or just the goddess. I think for this world I'll go by Abyssal mother."

Jinah nods her head and says,

"U-Uhm, is it really okay for a worshiper to call you by a nickname?"

Sera laughs and bends down to pinch Jinah's cheek,

"Of course it is, silly! We're friends! I may be a goddess, but that doesn't mean I can't have friends!"

Sera smiles at Jinah while standing up and glancing down towards a massive house in the middle of a giant forest. She looks back towards Jinah and says,

"Alright, I'll give you the ability to come and go from paradise as you please. Now that your belief in me has been solidified, you should be strong enough. You just have to will yourself here or back. Also, I created you a system to keep track of your abilities. Say status."

Jinah nods her head and says,

"Status."

A black screen shows up in front of her.

"Ah!"

She exclaims in surprise as the board pops up. She studies it closely, inspecting each section. She sees that her rank has gone up and does a fist pumping motion. She sees the skills and nods along till she sees the new one that pops up,

"Oh, wow! I can teleport?!"

Sera nods and says,

"Only to shadows, though."

Jinah's eyes seem to sparkle as she hears this. A wide, goofy smile breaks through onto her face. Under her breath, she mutters,

"That's so fucking cool!"

Jinah then looks through the rest of her status, spotting the items in her inventory,

"Wait, what's this stuff in my inventory?"

Sera speaks up,

"The book is basically the Bible of my religion. And the stuff labeled Abyssal Mother's is armor. Can't have you going around practically naked, can we? While not in combat, the armor looks like regular street wear and can be changed with a thought. However, when in combat, the armor changes into an armored plague doctor outfit. Chosen by myself because of how awesome plague doctors look!"

Jinah looks at her inventory and presses the equip button.

A slightly pointed black cap with a wide brim appears on her head along with a Black Plague doctor mask. A black collared shirt appears on her body with several buttons running down the front. A long black cloak of feathers appears on her shoulders. A black trench coat also appears over the shirt, running down to her knees. Black leather pants appear on her legs, just tight enough to not be loose. And finally, a hefty pair of black leather boots.

Jinah speaks,

"Well. Uhm. People will definitely think I'm edgy. But it makes sense I suppose."

Sera is stunned and fake tears begin falling from her eyes,

"What?! I put my heart and soul into that!"

Jinah gives a pity smile and says,

"It's cool, people will just find it edgy."

Sera pouts and turns away before saying,

"Fine then! I'll just take it back!"

Jinah begins freaking out and says,

"N-no! It's cool! I'm gonna wear it all the time!"

Sera pouts a little longer before bursting with laughter,

"Bahahahaha! You should see the look on your face! Obviously it's edgy! It was meant to be! Ahhh, that was good. Anyways, I should go. You can stay here as long as you want, but just know that your body isn't on earth, so your mom will freak out if you don't go back soon. Ta-ta!"

With a DBZ sound effect, Sera teleports away. Leaving a stunned Jinah staring down at the ecumenopolis of paradise.
