20 Hunting, Levelling and Earning Gold (1)

For the next few hours, Chris's entire schedule solely consisted of him hunting the monsters and levelling up. Of course, he also cleared a few quests in that way, so that he could earn gold. It would be a one-plus-one offer.

[You have killed a Goblin, level 13.]

[You have levelled up.]

[You have completed the quest, Kill 10 Goblins. Please submit the Goblin Ears as proof at the guild to receive the reward.]

[You have completed the quest, Hunt 10 Red-Boars. Please submit the Boar Tusks as proof at the guild to receive the reward.]

[You have levelled up.]

[You have completed the quest, Collect 15 Moon Leaves. Please submit the Moon Leaves as proof at the guild to receive the reward.]

Chris just didn't take the hunting quests but also quests that needed herbs to be collected. It would be a waste to not collect them to complete a quest along the way. The quest completion would give gold and experience, though gathering them won't.

One has to have a Class or Sub-Class that is either Alchemy or Herbalism, in order to gain experience while gathering herbs.

While gathering herbs, herbalists would gain a higher amount of experience than Alchemists. It would be +0 EXP for every other profession.

It is the same when mining or any other activity.

[You have reached Level 15]

[You gained +10 to WIS and +60 FAPs.]

Though his levelling speed was great when he was below level 10, it wasn't the same once he crossed level 10. this wasn't a surprise for him.

As the level increases, so does the experience required to level up. The increase of experience required would be exponential. This would be the required experience for levelling in other games and this game is a nightmare for the players.

The EXP required would be much higher than what one thinks to level up. This only worsens as one ranks up. This is the reason why there aren't many powerful players and guilds always running to secure dungeons for themselves. They are the only way to level up fast.

Chris already experienced this in his previous life. He secured a few dungeon cores for himself. It was also the reason why his friend betrayed him.

Dungeons are not only sources of experience but also resources, which became apparent when the Abyssal Invasion came and players lost gaining levels with experience. From that point, resources were required to rank up.

Remembering that again, Chris wanted to take his revenge as soon as possible to free himself from losing control over his emotions. Revenge has to wait for now, he has many things to take care of.

It was almost time to wake up, Chris decided to return to the Frost City, to submit his quests. His sister would get worried if he didn't wake up in time.

Though the game is to help him get stronger and richer, he doesn't want to lose spending time with his sister and have regrets later. He has already a lot of regrets in his storage. He has no wish to add more regrets to the pile.

Once he returned to the city, he went straight to the guild to submit the quests.

[You have successfully submitted the quest,

[You have successfully submitted the quest,

[You have successfully submitted the quest,

[You have gained, 57 gold and +350,000 EXP]

[You have levelled up.]

[You have gained +5 to WIS and +30 FAPs]

Chris decided to not add any more FAPs to his attributes. He is already overpowered as of now. He didn't need to add more to his attributes. It would only cause him to weaken in the long run.

He is already killing the monsters easily with his Critical Hit skill. If his attributes are too high, he won't be able to learn anything.

Sure if this was just a game, he would have added all the acquired FAPs to his status but this was not a game. Moreover, he had to learn how to fight, if one day he loses the advantages. That was possible in these magical worlds.

He had personally seen skills that could negate magic or counter some skills.

There was a skill known as [Counter-Strike], which would deflect the attack back to his attacker. Moreover, depending on the level of the skill, the damage returned would be much higher than the original.

Unlike in the game, the spells and skills have levels. This was something players would see after learning that the powers could be used on Earth.

Here, the system was helping players to understand the spells and skills faster.

What the purpose was, even Chris never uncovered in his past life.

Let's see my status once before logging out.
