Chris quickly completed the quest he took from the adventurer's guild. Once the quest was done, he returned to the city to turn in the quest.

This was done so that he wouldn't attract attention from others. As he assumed someone started to tail him as soon as he left the frost city. From the fluctuations he understood his tail was using magic and the person was most likely from the magic tower.

If it were anyone else, they wouldn't be able to spot that they were being followed but Chris has experienced this before and made sufficient preparations.

In his past life, he didn't catch anyone following him when he was in the low rank but he found out that there were people tailing him when he reached a higher rank. It was because he was afraid of PvP, that he learned tracking, anti-tracking and concealing skills. If not for that, he wouldn't be able to see through the ones that followed him that day.
