Talking Business

Just as she had guessed, the Los Angeles mayor was mad furious! Cynthia wouldn't blame him, the port was probably a multi billion project, or even trillions! It was also a major money maker for them so losing it was maybe the hardest thing the city has ever gone through. G Gordon Godfrey did not lose this chance to make fun of her, probably taking glee in her problems.

"This just in, folks. Yesterday night, Los Angeles's very own self called hero just destroyed the Los Angeles harbor! Just one night and the livelihood of you tax payers have been destroyed. Let us not forget whose money the government will use to pay for a new port. Is it Kuma Kuma Hero's money? No! Good God fearing tax payers will be the ones subjected to the follies of their vigilante. So, I say to you now, these heroes are not here to protect us, save us! They are here to bleed us dry and brain wash us into depending on them!"

"This guy has a mouth on him, huh?" Cynthia said as she continued watching the xenophobic man.

"I don't know, I kinda like his program. He's not afraid of speaking the truth," her mother said as she served her breakfast.

"You don't like our resident vigilante?" Cynthia asked.

"I'm on the fence with her. She is not like other vigilantes and is a little dark," her mother answered before adding more pancakes on Cynthia's plate.

"I rather like her and I think she might want to explain to the public about why she did what she did last night," Amy spoke up. Cynthia was interested in her train of thoughts.

"Why do you think she should explain herself?"

"All the other times she did something, the normal people were not that much affected. In fact, Los Angeles grew as a collective. But, she just destroyed a major Los Angeles landmark and put thousands of people's lives in jeopardy and that's on the small scale. Soon, we might be subjected to higher taxes in order to come up with enough money to keep the city going or something like that," Amy said. Cynthia had to admit, they were right. Soon, the lives of Los Angeles people might get harder because of her actions. She had to find a way to make sure that does not happen soon.

She thought about making the docks a new with earth style but that would not help because of all the cranes and other machineries needed. Her creation of all things cannot be used so easily least she attracts even more of those angels, especially Gabriel the Hornblower. The machinery will come out of the tax payers' pockets. Soon, crimes will run rampant and her work will be for nothing. She then thought of another solution to her problem. Bruce Wayne aka Batman. With his civilian identity, Batman was probably the best businessmen in the universe of DC. He had enough money to fund his crime fighting ways, build a cave in a mountain for the Justice League, fit the various computers and other things in the asteroid base up in Earth's orbit and let's not forget he might be the one paying for most of the damages caused by the League.

She also knew if she went to him for help, he might refuse unless he has the upper hand. This might mean that she either has to promise not to kill or he might want her to join them, mostly that Young Justice League they just created! She couldn't think of another way the conversation might go so she was not very much worried of other things.

"I'm off to school," Cynthia announced as she ran out of the house. She made sure she was not being seeing before making a clone that will go to school while she headed to the opposite direction. She quickly got into her armored suit, gotta look good for a business meeting, then opened her MS. Using Kamui, she started her journey due North East.

An hour later, she was in Gotham, one of the most crime infested city in the country. She could feel the gloomy aura in here, an aura that would make demons most comfortable and she felt a whole new respect for Batman and the citizens of Gotham. Staying here probably took their utmost willpower and Batman was the light at the end of the tunnel. His self control was godly, not giving in to his urges for then it would lead to his spiral into the darkness of this city.

She suddenly remembered her purpose of coming here and she went on with her way. She found the Wayne mansion which she got in without triggering any alarms, Kamui for the win. She sat down on the office chair and waited. A few moments later, Bruce Wayne entered the office and he seemed not surprised, which she expected for she already saw the hidden cameras all around.

"Good morning, Mr Wayne," she greeted him. Bruce Wayne nodded back before giving her a glare as if to remind her she was sitting on his chair. Cynthia signed inwardly as she got up and sat on a guest chair.

"You are the Kuma Kuma Hero from Los Angeles, what brings you here?" he asked.

"I'm here to talk business with you. As you might have heard, I might have destroyed the port of Los Angeles last night. I'm not going to defend myself and say it was an accident, it was not. I did it with the full intention of obliterating it and my target," she answered.

"And what was the target?" Bruce Wayne asked.

"A power replicating Android called AMAZO by its owner with a monkey robot fetish. The android attacked me and I had to permanently put it out of service,"

"So, what you are here to do is make me pay for your damages?" Bruce Wayne asked with a sharp glare.

"If you could that would be amazing," she answered back with a smile.

"The port is the property of Los Angeles and only the mayor or the office of the mayor can give out patents on its construction. Besides, let us say that I agree, how will you pay my company? Building a port as large as the Los Angeles port would be a multi trillion project!"

"I was thinking of an IOU kinda deal," she answered with confidence.

"That does not inspire me with confidence, miss. We deal with courtroom kind of deals, surrounded with lawyers as witnesses. Of you can come back with lawyers and a representative of the Mayor's office, then we can start negotiating. Till then, I'll ask you to leave, you're trespassing," Bruce Wayne finished.

'Damn, businessman Batman is shrewd,' Cynthia gasped inwardly. She actually thought she would be like one of those main characters that just bamboozle everyone around them into doing their biddings but she now knew that maybe she should just stick to fighting. Also, there was no way she would be bringing lawyers for then she would need her legal name to sign legal documents.

'Guess I'm using creation of all things,' she sighed before using the flying thundergod hiraishin to teleport back to her base.
