1 Peace Never Lasts

It was a day like no other. The sun was shining bright, casting a golden glow on the world below. The view was breathtaking, a giant lake nestled at the foot of the tallest mountain on the planet, with a waterfall cascading down from an incredible 5125m height.

The water was crystal clear, allowing one to see the vibrant life at the bottom of the lake. The water was also incredibly flavorful, invigorating the senses and giving energy to even the most tired of individuals.

In the middle of the lake, there is an island, home to a tree that reached an astonishing 2000m in height. The branches of the tree were wide and bountiful, spanning an impressive 1000m outward. The massive field around the island was filled with wonderful plants and life, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere.

The trees surrounding the open area are also towering high and give off a jungle-like vibe, while the sounds of all the surrounding life filled the air and the wind carried it through the extraordinary location. It was a place where one could truly find tranquility and escape the stress of life in this universe.

This once peaceful land is now a war-torn battlefield, with blood and destruction as far as the eye could see. The clashing of swords, the deafening explosions, and the cries of agony are a constant symphony of death and despair. The sky was a chaotic mix of lightning, smoke, fire, ice, and water, as if the very elements themselves were taking part in the devastating conflict.

This conflict will be etched in universal history as the universes will never be the same.

This battle was completely one-sided at the start of the battle it was one million two hundred and fifty thousand to one. That single individual is butchering hundreds of thousands of beings in this fight….

The beings in this tremendous army are from two factions, one is the Divine light faction led by a Seraphim Angel, followed by 500 hundred lower angels. The other is the Dark Demonic faction, led by a Darkling, with seven hundred and fifty thousand lower demons.

All arrived here to massacre this one being, no definitely not a being in their eyes a catalyst of change to the order that has existed for millions of years.

...20 minutes prior, someone sits in solitude under a towering tree on an island, deeply meditating. This someones striking good looks draws the gazes of many, with both women blushing and men feeling envious of their beauty. Before sitting they removed a full-face mask, boots, and black robe in order to fully connect with nature, as they sought to deepen their understanding of its laws. Breathing steadily, with closed eyes, fully immersed in this practice of comprehending.

This someones name is Damian….

In that moment, he abruptly opened his eyes, revealing bright silver pupils with a distinct purple hexagonal iris. Surveying around the place, he takes in the picturesque scenery and the delightful aroma that fills the air.

Damian couldn't believe it, "My earth power has increased by 1% after just two days here. This place is truly extraordinary. And that's not all, my soul comprehension has also risen. I'm so close to reaching my goal!"

Someone talks, let's call them S: "Shut up you idiot, you wouldn't even have thought to comprehend here if I didn't tell you to sleep here"

Damien:"You are such an ass, always finding ways to ruin a wonderful moment. You should be awarded for your impeccable timing, it's always spot on and incredibly frustrating."

S chuckled, " HAHAHA...Thank you I try my best, I'll make sure to request it in black... But seriously, you're dehydrated. Go drink some water from the lake, it will replenish your body."

Damian rose to his feet, extending his arms high into the sky before bending backwards, eliciting a series of satisfying pops and cracks as he stretches out his muscles. He then slipped on his boots and robe, and made his way towards the marvelous lake water. Cupping his hands, he submerged them into the lake and brought them to his lips, taking a long, refreshing sip.

Damian lets out a contented sigh, "This water is delicious... I can't believe how blessed it is. I feel fantastic now.", starts flexing his hands

S brags, "I told you, I am super wise. Listen to me more and tremendous things will happen. I am all you need."

Damian face changes to a very unpleasing one, "If I listened to you more, I would be..."

S interrupts him, "Damian, I sense a powerful energy gathering in the field area in front of us."

Damian's attention is quickly drawn to something in the distance, his eyes focusing on it intently.

"I can feel the disturbance too. Any ideas about what...or better yet, who!!!, might be causing it?" Damian asked.

S lets out a sinister laugh, "No idea, I'm always in the dark. Hahaha..." He then begins to fade away.

Damian scowled, "Here I thought you were super wise. Regardless, can I count on you and L for help?" He tightened his grip on the two short swords that are on his hip

S snorted, "Tsk... Tsk."

L remains silent.

In the distance a massive energy ball starts expanding, becoming bigger with each passing second. All beasts in the vicinity scatter in all directions.

Damian retreated to his meditating spot, knowing that running would be futile. After 5 minutes of expanding to (120m) in diameter a monumental blinding light erupts for a few seconds...not once does Damian shut his eyes as he stares at the absurd view in front of him, thousands… no, a million, of soldiers standing in front of him, ones he's only ever read and heard about.

An army of angelic and demonic now stands before him, their expressions varies - some showing disgust, others anger, and yet still others lust in their eyes. The demons are grinning wickedly, licking their lips in anticipation of the fight. The angels, meanwhile, look super furious, their eyes filled with so much anger and hate.

Damian, on the other hand, simply gazed at the army of two different factions with a neutral expression.

S exclaimed, "What the hell did you do? I told you not to meditate here... Haha."

Damian rolled his eyes before yelling out, "Well, this is certainly a surprise... Hello, everyone! I'm positive that I've never picked a fight or offended the Divine and Demonic races in my lifetime." He raised his hand and waved at the army as they watched him

Two powerful entities slowly fly forward, one dressed in full white and red armour, with four massive wings spread out in all their glory. The wing feathers were bright white with a red tinge to them. The other was clad entirely in black, with two wings made of darkness that looked like long, smoky black shadows. But if touched, they felt hard and seemed to try and pull you into the abyss.

The power radiating from them was so overwhelming that the ground shook and cracked with each flap of their wings. The air had completely stopped blowing and the water started to ripple as they glided over it. Everything was deathly quiet and the army behind them were shaking to their core.

But...Damian simply stood still and gazed, thinking where in his journey he might have gone wrong to cause this butterfly effect. Once they arrived in front of him, they landed by the water's edge. So now was not the right time to reflect on the past mistakes.

The one dressed in all white spoke in a voice that was melodic and sweet to men ears, "Are you, Damian?"

She is dressed in white armor that radiates a powerful aura of pure light and a little red mixed in it. Her eyes are white with bright red irises and pupils to match. Floating on her back is a white ring also know as a halo, formed by pure light. On the outer rim of the halo is four feather-shaped spikes, that have a tinge of red like her wings.

"Ah...No, I'm not," Damian replied, trying to weasel his way out of the situation.

The taller, dark-clad one makes a tsk sound, "This little fuck, we know you are Damian. We've been searching for you and tracking your ugly description for ages now. You've been a real pain in the ass," His multiple horns on his head tilt in annoyance.

He wares a chest plate that extends to the abdomen, adorned with spikes and sixteen protruding claws. In the center of his chest is the symbol of the Dark faction, emblazoned in grey and black. His shin guards also have small spikes and feature a pattern of rings and a line through them. Damian closely observes him

"Language, please, in my presence," the woman glares at the dark one

S sneers, "Who does this angelic and super hot woman think she is, a saint here to kill fucken hypocrite."

"Then why did you ask a stupid question if you already knew who I am?" Damian retorts back at him

The all-black one stares with his void black eyes like an abyss and releases a small dark wave of energy: "Why you little sh….". His black robe floating down to the ground and evaporating into shadows moves. Damian doesn't flinch at all when he does this...

"Let's focus on the task at hand," she interjected firmly, brandishing a twin-headed axe in the shape of wings. "I'm Gabriel (Axe of light), leader of the divine force of five hundred strong, and I believe it is only fitting for a warrior to know the name of the one who may put them to rest."

S:" She doesn't say, wonder why such a title choice. This also isn't looking good at all…..!!!!!"

The male refutes her claims: "Fucken unholy….strong you wish, the great Necro (Blades of Darkness)". As Damian looks at his body filled with spikes all over it. "I could handle this thing like child's play my seven hundred and fifty thousand, can also sit back and observe how a true Absolute being fights"

S: "Wow, your title should be Damian, (Totally Fucked), because that's what you are,"

Gabriel gives him a death stare that sends a shiver down Necro's spine…..but it isn't a shiver supplied with fear it's one of excitement if Gabriel is to attack him how much pleasure he will have….

Gabriel shot Necro a death stare, but it was clear that the male was not intimidated by her instead begging for that fight which she could see. "Enough with this bickering," she said, her wings and axe blades glowing red with divine energy. "Our gods have commanded us to exorcise this malevolent force, and that is what we will do. Necro, why don't you focus on our task instead of trying to play with me?"

Necro laughed wickedly. "Hahaha, you're right for once. I can hardly disbelieve it. But tell me, why did they send us to handle this? Look at him, he's nothing but a bug...no, even bugs are stronger than him."

"Tells this old fuck I will show him who's bug shit then," growled S not happy

Gabriel stepped forward, her gaze cold and calculating. "Same reason you looked at me like a toy, those juniors and...mons...hmm...other things look at each other as well. They wanna fight and not do what is ordered of them, what is required of them. Instead, they're itching to settle old debts." She lifted her hand, waving and pointing around.

Necro let out a wicked laugh. "Hahaha, you know what? Another ring...you're right for once, can you disbelieve it?" He touches his armor guards with the pattern on.

This time, Gabriel looks at Necro, her eyes turning a bright red as her four wings turned redder, and her axe blades glow with a divine energy. A powerful wave of energy is released from her, making the ground shake beneath them.

"Hahahahahaha too easy, you ringed are so predictable," Necro sneered, his eyes gleaming with a wicked hunger as he gazed at her, wishing he could play with her and claim her ring for a new marking on his armor.

Damian stood there like he was witnessing a drama show play out. Not knowing when the action is gonna start, and he can sit back and relax.

He wished they would fight it out and poof, problem solved. But he knows that wouldn't be the case, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of dread as the tension between Necro and Gabriel reached a boiling point.

"Listen, I say why don't you guys vent it out a little?" Damian suggests, his hands held out in front of him. "I'm not going anywhere. I mean, you all are holding onto some grudges with each other, so like an acquaintance says 'Got a problem with someone, fight and hash out your differences'...sooooo why don't you all go a few rounds? I won't complain."

Necro sneered, his eyes locked onto Damian. "Aren't you the little cunning snake in the garden... I kinda like it. You think adding fuel to a fire will make it burn more?....' he scoffs'...what do you take us for? We are Absolute Beings, mere children definitely can't detour us from the orders we received and you won't for sure."

Damien quips back "Well you can't fault someone for attempting, was worth a shot I rate "

Gabriel shakes her head in frustration. "That's enough, Damian. We are the most powerful ones here, and we will not be swayed from our mission. Let's head back and give the order to attack. Are you ready, Damian?"

Damian looks at her then to the army behind her filling the entire vicinity, 'exhales', and looks back into her red eyes:" If I say no would you be kind enough for a rescheduled, like let's say ….'acts out counting'…twenty million years seems fair right?"

Necro laughs again. "Hahaha, I wish things were different, kid. You're really growing on me."

"Eww, no thanks. I'll pass," Damian said, winking at Gabriel. "But you, on the other hand..."

Gabriel blushes and smiles behind her helmet, caught in Damian's gorgeous looks, she is a little mesmerized by them. Her helmet has wings shaped upward on either front side, and in the middle, a diamond crown arch.

Necro grabs his weapon in his hands, it is a 2.4m long spear. The bottom of the spear is shaped like a small Fulham, and on the other side is a small sharp dagger. The spear body is cylindrical, Just before the spear blade tip, there is a ring that one can see through it from the side.

Necro starts to charge it for a swing at Damian in anger since he disrespected him...

"Enough Necro, not now, you will get your chance. Let them go first, that's the order, and you know it," Gabriel's voice echoed her tone stern.

Necro vanishes so quickly that the army can't keep up with where he went. But Damian looks at the back of the army as Necro reappears, his anger evident as he swings his spear in an arc away from the army, destroying hundreds of trees and damaging a mountain. In his rage, he killed so many beasts that were hiding.

"You got guts kid, I'll grant you that, but stupidity will get you killed quickly," Gabriel's voice comes from the side, and she vanishes as well... "Really look at the destruction you have caused. This will take years to recuperate."

Necro sneers, "Do I look like the type of existence to give a shit?" He glares at Damian in the distance, picturing killing him in the cruelest ways possible.

.....

Damian put on his mask and whispers, "Why delay death? Running gets you nothing more but another breath rather than just facing the inevitable."
