Memories Part 4

Silver who was looking though everything in the study was now looking at a book infront of him contemplating how bad he messed up.
On the book was a succubus and many notes. There was also a notepad that had a list of ingredients on it. All the ingredients were to make a charm necklace and it even had notes on the locations of were to get them.
The problem was that the main ingredient was a dead succubus and there was a location. 'That cant be a good thing. Would he go there? No, there is no way he would.' However that thought still plauged his mind. 'I need to find him quickly.'
Takeing the book and notepad he heads to the party and looks for the target. No matter how hard he looks he can't find him. Finding Rianna and Miao he walks over to ask them where the target went.
"He left after Zovac basicly hooked up with the Bride to be or at least she was going to be a Bride. Instead she just declaired she wasn't marrying our target." When told that the target had left by Rianna, Silver immediately runs out and tries to find him.
Finding a few trails he notices it was the same direction as the succubus. 'Great, just what we need. Wait, won't he die though?' from what the book said succubus could easly destroy towns if they wanted. So they are hunted and destroyed but if one is liveing were the notes say then it could be a big problem.
Grabbing Rianna and Miao they return to the Inn. Leaving without Zovac as he was in to deep with Elnu and would have to run solo for now. Looking for the man that they were supposed to contact when done with the job and finding him sitting in a corner they head over and hand over the information they had.
Silver had already ripped out the ingredients page and copied it with only one third the ingredients as he wasnt sure if he should let something like this out.
He had told Rianna and Miao about the situation on the way over and showed them the book and note pad.
He didnt say that when he picked up the notepad that the crafting recipe was added to his [Crafting Recipes] That he could open at any time but that was because they were not players. He only knew this because he tried to add them as friends but it didnt work earlier when they were walking through the city.
Immediately telling them not to leave this inn and that he would pay for them to have a room he stood up. Watching him walk over and pay for a room he took the room key and information about the room and brought it to them. When done he left to tell his higher ups about the succubus.
Waiting wasnt hard as they were all tired. No matter how tired they were though, they had waited in that room for three days and the man had not returned yet. Silver didnt want to log out and miss the guy comeing back so he stayed logged in.
Finally on the third day he comtemplated logging out but that was the day he heard a knock on their room.
"Get ready, you will be comeing with us. We need you three to run as soon as we confirm both your target and the succubus and whether they are alive or dead. Regardless you are to become part of the brotherhood after as long as you survive." Saying this in a deadpan voice he turned around and went down stairs.
"Shadow, will we be alright?" Rianna asked with worry.
The three of them have gotten close over the past days as they have had nothing elts to do but talk.
Miao started to call him big brother and at first he tried to correct her but in the end she didnt give up on the idea. He didnt mind if he had to become something like a big brother to her if she wanted but he wasn't sure if Rianna was ok with it. Whenever Miao called him big brother Rianna gave her the death stare but it was as if Miao didnt notice and just continued with what she was doing.
"Dont worry. I'll make sure you both make it out of this alive. Even if it kills me." Saying this he thought that even if he did die he would just revive or have to creat a new character. Sure it would be a pain but these two only had one life so it would be ok.
They never did hear back from Zovac after they left him but assumed he was fine.
Grabbing their things they headed to the front of the Inn and found six people all cloaked and wearing masks. Noticing the three's arrival they proceeded to the stables to grab horse's. They wernt very talkative and only talked when needed.
After not haveing any problems at the stalls they rode till they arived at a town close to the location. It was a days ride on horseback so when they got there the six decided there wasnt a need to rest and made the executive decision to proceeded to the location on foot.
Walking for almost four hours they arived at a cabin. They found it empty with no traces of anyone being there. However they also didnt find dust on anything. It was as if the hole thing was frozen in time.
Decideing to stay there they made use of what was in the house and searched around. It was mid day and they were going to stay till the next day. Searching and finding nothing of note made the six wonder if this was a false alarm and they even hoped that was the case.
It was when night hit that they regretted their decision to stay at that cabin.
The terror of that house finaly showed up carrying a body that looked like a raisin. It was non other than their target and it was as if he had been sucked dry of all fluids in his body. They knew why he looked like that but it wasn't like it didnt scair them to the bone. Even Silver wouldnt want to die that way.
What happened after that was nothing other than a blood bath. Curses from the succubus got put on all of them. It wasnt just one or two but five to six. The succubus was doing everything she could to kill them all. The curses wouldnt kill them outright but if they tried to run she would chase them down and finish them off.
Remembering cages in the basement of the house he turned around and grabed Rianna and Miao by the hands and draged them inside. Miao didnt look good as she had a pale face. A small body such as hers probably couldnt handle the strong concentration of mana from the curses but that was only a guess.
Manageing to drag Rianna And Miao down to the room with the cages and lock them inside with a lot of protesting from Rianna he proceeded to tell them to live and find a way out when they were sure the succubus had left.
Giveing them his supply bag and heading to the stairs he could hear Rianna behind him. Rianna was screaming at him to come back and even cursing at him but he couldnt. He needed to go topside and lock the doors so they would be safe. Sure the locks wouldnt do anything if the succubus decided to look but the door was locked when they initially arrived so she might not think anything of it.
After locking the doors he went out to see a bloody mess. Bodys were strewn all over and he could only see a few that still drew breath. Looking at the succubus he noticed she was looking at him in interest.
He knew he wouldnt make it out of this alive but he wasnt going down without a fight. Grabing his blade that was strapped to the back of his waist with his right arm, he used Mystic Body and Mustic Dance to close the gap. Fazing through her claws that aimed to hit him he appeared behind her in a mid slash. Activating Moon Blade he followed through with the attack and hit.
Although he managed to hit with Moon Blade it only left a small scratch. 'Your kidding me!' Looking at her turn around and slash his chest it was like watching a blur.
Useing Mystic Dance to gain more speed, he attacked from all directions but in doing so he accumulated damage all over. His body probably looked like a piece of meat that was recently taken from a animal as blood was seeping from wounds and as the wounds increased by the second so to did the blood.
A slash for behind aiming for the neck, Another slash aimed at her arm joint, A slash to blind, and a Slash to the neck again. he would appear and disappear in a storm of leaves. Ever time he would appear and take a slash at her she would blur a little and a new wound appeared on his body.
Tradeing blows for close to a minute he felt like he was at the end of his rope. His health had long since droped by half and it was on the steady decline.
Strikeing her neck for the 10th time he could see her spine but the next second she disappeared from in front of him and he felt a sharp pain run down his back.
It was at this point the blood loss took over. As his knees buckled he started to fall to the ground. A thought crosed His mind as he fell. 'She was playing with me.' His consciousness started to fade and as he hit the ground face first, he blacked out.

Haveing past out from her strike she looked at the boy in front of her all over. He wasnt a half bad human but she has had better. 'Letting him die would be a waste after all he put me though. I even chiped a nail.' Thinking this she licked her lips and brought him inside.
