'My Lord.' she replied with masked disdain. However, Aadi saw through it.

He sighed, I always ruin things.

Aadi knew he had been rude by unnecessarily inflicting authority upon her and he wasn't about to let her slip away this time. He decided to be tactful with his next approach and he didn't know why. He never really cared about people, never regarded how they felt unless it was in his favor, but Tirzah, Tirzah wasn't 'people'.

As Aadi took off his vest top, he unbuttoned the first three buttons and Tirzah looked away hurriedly, cheeks flaming hot. She set aside the basket and made space, lying down hesitantly; she crossed her legs over each other.
