Attaining a dao and some world history

'No one here currently has a dao so I can just ignite a low level elemental one but which one should I ignite?' Odin thought as he walked through the streets.

From his memories during this age no one had even reached the heavenly prince realm which was above the mortal ascension realm. This meant that no one had tried learning a dao, even just a dao like the creation or time and space dao which were low level could make one a good amongst men.

If Odin could get even an elemental dao he would be able to easily defeat anyone in this world even in his current realm. Odin looked up at the sky and looked at each star one by one even though it was late at night people still walked by and Odin gained a bit of attention.

Odin looked back down and disappeared appearing in front of his apartment door. With his new realm of course came major improvements his speed of 220.8 miles per hour had now become 11,040 miles per hour. Which was 14.39 times the speed of sound naturally, him moving should have caused a sonic boom but using his spirit energy he could negate it and even at slower speed remove air resistance.

He opened the door and entered the apartment.

With the system's notification, a horrible pain assaulted Odin but he calmly walked to his bedroom and sat on his bed. He got into position and started to meditate again as he had nothing to do.

'The earth stands above my head and the heavens below my feet, I am chilled by the cold glare of the sun and warmed by the light of the moon, I am the good that preys on the weak and the evil that helps the poor, I am the twisted thought of sanity and the straight thought of insanity, I am the will born from oppression and the hope created from despair I am the hatred born from love, I am nihility of both order and chaos the sorrow of each path of life I call to the dao that is not a dao but the true meaning of life.'

Odin chanted as he mediated but after he finished his body spasmed and his organs ruptured. He only stayed alive because of the system's physique alteration if not he would have died a very gruesome death.

His body laid on the bed looking lifeless a grey mist wrapped around him permeating everything. If one were to be in the room they would feel the very presence of death near them.

From his stomach, a ball of darkness arose just like the sword that Odin obtained this too was darker than anything. It formed into its original form which was a sword but it started to change again as it absorbed the mist.

"If there is life death shall follow if there is death life is surely close at hand." Odin spoke with a deep voice.

The sword had taken a new form becoming a scythe it exuded a calming aura fitting for its future victims. The weapon returned back Into odins stomach Odin looked over his body and saw many noticeable changes.

His skin was deathly pale he had no heartbeat he didn't need to breathe as his skin absorbed the air around him. but when he did breathe he seemed to absorb the vitality around him when he commanded his heart to beat he gained strength beyond his level.

His body had been fully altered by the system and his newly gained dao. His dao made minor changes compared to the system but they were both incredible. His dragon fox physique naturally gave him new organs that belonged to the dragon family and exclusive ones that belonged to the fox branch.

He could activate the powers of the father of the fox dragons but each tail required immense energy. The first would need him to be at the heavenly prince realm or for him to give up a hundred thousand years of lifespan.

Like the Canidae branch of dragons, foxes could use the power of their eyes to affect their surroundings. They could control the immaterial they could also see through the thought of anyone and swayed them to their biding.

The chimera part he had allowed him to absorb the genetic information of his prey and share it with his kind through a special network and also allowed him to receive it if any fox ate a new species. This chimeric ability was actually common to any dragon kind but Odin had already received a few abilities before he connected into the network.

The fox branch did not have wings so they had to use null energy to fly, but he had wings using a bit of his energy he could fly at less of the cost of his fox counterpart.

Currently, he did not have enough energy to use most of the abilities but it didn't matter as he already had a dao and that was all he needed for his plans.

Currently, on earth, there exited three dragon kinds wyvern a lesser subspecies of the true dragons, wyrms the children of the wyvern, and snakes a type of worm or snake that contained near .000001% dragon heritage but had the arrogance of a true dragon.

The wyvern and wyrm had guided humanity from the shadows and later revealed themselves but not as gods but as simple helpers of the dragons. the snakes on the other hand ruled over a huge chunk of Europe and Asia with an iron fist.

In the middle of Europe and asia two kingdoms united to fight the snakes forming one empire but sadly it was doomed from the start as they were too weak to fight those 'dragons'.
