Er Gen
500 chapters of fun and pleasure, if you like post modern comedy cultivation world then you will find gold here however WHO THE HELL PUT THIS FU***** YAOI TAG!! Many people may ignore this novel just because of this error because I trust myself enough to tell you there is not even a semblance of bromance here
Okay, this book is another absolute gem from the great Er Gen. The plot is unique in a sense that it seems to revolve more around politics and thinking albeit cultivation is still a big part. The character depth cannot be commented on just yet since not nearly enough chapters have been released but I will say that the MC does have a distinct personality which is good. MC is also not handsome but some small cliches still exist where a beautiful female still seems to like him. The world design overall is pretty good till now but still not substantial. Although I criticize it like that, the book currently only has 17 chapters so I don't want to lower my rating for it just yet. The grammar and translation quality leaves nothing to criticize. The flow of sentences is well done and the book itself seems to be written well with fewer complicated or unique terms to understand and remember, most of the words and names for items used seem to be easily understood. For example, a cleansing pill is just that, a body cleansing medicine and the sword sun is just that, a sword that is in the damn sun. Atleast terms like Great Atavistic Five Sword Heaven Sundering Toilet Spirit Paper don't exist so yeah. Overall, definitely recommend adding to the library and giving it a good read. An Er Gen book is always good and in my opinion that alone is reason enough to check it out let alone all the pros I mentioned above.
The current translator who uses a random number as his id, maybe to cover up his shame for his incompetence in using the MTL machine, if you can't bear your shame, why not bury yourself into the ground? That way no one can see your shameful existence in the MTL world. LLOLOLOLOLOLLLLLL...... [img=faceslap][img=faceslap]
As someone who has read all of Er Gen's novels including this one up to the Raws (600+ chapters ) I feel that Er Gen has once more done a fantastic job. While sticking to the comedic undertone he began in I shall Seal the Heavens and executed perfectly in A Will Eternal he has even so managed to stay faithful to what worked out so well for him , Excellent World Building , A good depth in character setting and plot line and above all a brilliant execution of the Taoist Journey to Immortality What was regretful to me in his earlier work A will Eternal was a lack of seriousness in crucial periods that was so apparent in his earlier works such as The Renegade Immortal and Pursuit of the Truth (both well worth a read !) He has however managed to make up for that in this one while simultaneously ensuring that the light tone doesn't get disrupted easily. With many authors choosing the Modern Comprehension Era as a theme (such as Forty Millennia Of Cultivation) what sets Er Gen's work apart is the setting that he has painstakingly built from the ground up over four previous works and to which this one fits in without any sense of incongruity The only issue I found in the work was that compared to his earlier works character development of others apart from the MC hasn't been that great also so far the story has been really lax in its world building (Compared to Renegade Immortal at the same period of 660 chapters for example) However even then in these respects this work is far ahead of many of the others available on this site under the category of Eastern Fantasy which offer nothing bu shoddy penmanship and excessive audience appeasement under the guise of 'spicing up ' things . All in all what I would like to say if you picked this one up then Congrats you're in for one hell of a roller coaster ride ! (** As a side note I hope that the translators stay faithful to the original work. A lot of the beautiful prose gets spoilt mid translation and to excellent works like these that is no less than a crime . I certainly hope that the translators do a great job in conveying this excellent novel to the audience !)
We aaallllllll know why we’re here ladies and gentlemen, yes it is the almighty almsgiver and dao lord Er Gen back at it again with ANOTHER, yes ANOTHER great webnovel. Our saviour has graced us pitiful chapter addicts with another masterpiece of shamelessness, deep plot, fluid comedy, cultivation and a pinch - just a pinch - of righteousness mixed in. - The story draws you in from the beginning and keeps you coming back like a moth to lamp. Our main character in this xianxia/wuxia/science fiction novel is surprisingly a fatty and yes he is the MAIN character and not a nameless side character. - Like other Er Gen novels our boy (Wang boale) is a one of a kind shameless yet compassionate protagonist who keeps you laughing and smiling all the time even whilst doing the most impolite acts. His character also manages to draw you into the story and allows you to fully immerse yourself in his position. - To be honest i feel i can’t say anything else as it will spoil it for you, but alli cna say is that if you are an Er Gen fan like me - why aren’t you reading already? - If you aren’t - then take a chance, roll the dice or dive in (whatever you want to call it) and GET READING!!!!!!!! - - - - - - Finally, i would like to deeply thank the translators for gracing us with this story and i give you my heartfelt gratitude 🙏 for taking the time and effort to translate this story as us pitiful readers have not yet reached the stage of enlightenment of the characters. many thanks! - 🙏🙇♂️🙏🙇♂️🙏🙇♂️🙏🙇♂️🙏🙇♂️🙏🙇♂️🙏🙇♂️🙏🙇♂️🙏🙇♂️🙏🙇♂️🙏🙇♂️🙏🙇♂️🙏🙇♂️🙏
This is a very good story. It can stand as an enjoyable read on the first chapter release. Focusing more on comic relief and making fun of old story troupes. it stands above the competition by having a unique world that is very refreshing in this copy and past era of worlds. To top the righters brilliance he used a fat mc who is shameless. This novel may be funny and have some over the top choices in plot, however this is a novel that is smooth to read with a deeper story hidden under the humor that will intrigue some readers. The biggest positive of this book is the jokes are subtle in how they are presented and there is no disgusting jokes like in the strongest cultivator. Thank you Author for righting this book. I will be saving spirit stones for when this book goes premium.
