9 Ch 9: Chase Vs. Green thing

Chase now comes under attack by a weird liquid-green living thing that he encountered inside the cave. He made a fast reaction using the sword that he carried with him to slash at the thing.

Successfully Chase was able to cut it in half at the time this thing was in the air falling to two sides away from him.

"Oh, fuck me that was close seriously what was that thing."

Thinking that he killed without realizing it right at the time this green liquid was far from being dead.

The two pieces of its body started right away slowly moving toward each other; this was a creepy thing to witness.

"Oh God can I not kill this thing." Chase was shocked, still staring at it.

Then without realizing until now there was a small piece that made its way landing on the shirt he was wearing. The small piece alive on its own will start to eat away at the shirt till touching the skin that sends a small painful feeling.

"Ah what the fuck." Chase quickly slapped the small green piece off him.

When gone he sees a now naked spot on his shirt along with the skin showing that seems to have been burned in some way.

At the time this liquid thing has come to be formed together whole again as if nothing happened to it. Once put together this thing went back intending to attack Chase.

"Alright then round 2 you fucking green thing, I will kick your ass."

He was ready this time to fight the thing that made its way towards him with its usual slow movements, but Chase watched out for that surprise jump that it did last time.

Instead, he chose to be the one making the first movie using the sword to thrust it down into the green liquid thinking it will do something.

Mistakenly it did not and backfired at Chase when he tried to pull the sword back as it wouldn't come out of the green thing keeping a hold of the weapon not wanting to let go.

"Shit let go of the sword damn it."

Chase was using all his strength to get this sword out, but it wasn't working as he felt himself losing the hold of the sword to the point, he finally lost it.

Now the sword was taken by the green thing that immediately eats the weapon into its body.

Next to happen with the sword was quite a shock when it began to break down inside the liquid thing's body.

"Oh, fuck for that," Chase said to it as the thing somehow responded laughing at the way its body moves in a way like that.

It caused him to get angrier at this moment that he wanted to beat the hell out of this thing. Yet knew that if Chase was to touch it in any way that a part of him may end up like the sword that was disappearing with a quick time.

So, they only leave when attacking has become no longer useful against such an opponent and that running. Good timing to when the sword was gone completely inside, getting back to seeking to kill Chase and he makes the move to charge at it.

Running toward the green thing as it makes another jump to land on his body. Right on time Chase does a barrel roll dodging and passing by the thing as it lands on the other side.

"Take that green fuck I am…."

He turns to face the thing to mock it before running away, but when looking back unexpectedly more of them just appear, adding up their numbers against him.

Chase sees that running is more important to do now than ever as he does it not looking back even when they start to follow him.

"Hey there, you are, I was starting to think you ran away and I…."

"Stop talking and run. There are these green things in the cave, and they are dangerous."

Allyson, now awake, thought at first that the male name Chase took the chance to escape, but seeing him now running from deep further into the cave proved that wrong.

Now the two are running out of the cave when her hand was grabbed by him forcibly being taken along.

"Hey what the hell are you doing?"

"I just told you that inside the cave there are green things."

"Are you talking about goblins? There were goblins in the cave."

"What the fuck are goblins."

Chase stopped running with Allyson to ask her.

"Isn't that what you are calling a green thing in that cave?"

"Yeah, because that was a living liquid green thing."

Hearing that Allyson got the idea immediately what he was talking about and yelled.

"Slime is what you are talking about!"

"That's what they are."

"How many were there?"

Chase explains the whole thing that went down when he explored the inside cave. When done telling the expression that she was making was someone who seemed quite unhappy of the ending outcome.

"You lost the sword to a slime, a weak creature that can be killed by fire or ice."

"Hey, don't say that like I'm supposed to know it. I told you I am not from this world."

"Yes, you said that before and I am starting to believe more of it given that encounter you had with such a monster."

"Oh, that's right we have to keep running or they will catch up to us."

Chase was about to run again, but Allyson stopped him from doing so.

"Calm down slime is weak as slow movers just don't get too close to one or it takes the chance to jump on you and start to acid burn the body in a way eating."

"Sounds like a nightmare thing to happen to someone."

"Indeed, if that person happens to be stupid to allow themselves to be killed by that creature. Lucky you weren't too stupid to have an end like that."

Allyson tells him while walking past and moving forward.

"Well, that at least was something nice of you to say."

[back at the fort where Chase was taken]

When the new day started the aftermath of the battle last night had reached its conclusion. The side to have lost was the defenders as the invaders were successful in their attack.

The front of the fort opens as three figures on a horse walk slowly inside.

"Looks like this fort has been captured." The person on the right side said.

"Of course, it is thanks to our power that it was easy to take from that empire. They are starting to grow weak these days. I believe in time we will be able to take that empire as well one day."

The other person on the left side says.

"Don't start to get cocky now even if we are doing well in our conquests doesn't mean things will always be this way. Always keep your guard up and your mind sharp to not allow your enemy to take advantage."

The one in middle said as all three of them stopped moving with their horse and began to get off the creatures.

They then look around to see the soldiers working hard to clear up the place after the attack has ended. One of the female soldiers ran up to the three bowing and greeting them while their horses were taken away.

"We are honored to have you here Lady Jacklyn John's, Ivy house, and Meghan Hill."

"My first name is fine, no need for that lady shit," Jacklyn tells the female soldier.

"Of course, as you order."

"Now then I would like to know the detailed report of the outcome."

The female soldier quickly informs Jacklyn, who was listening seriously after hearing that their side didn't suffer much compared to their enemy's losses.

A few where unpleasantly were able to escape from the battle and those who haven't come to fall in the fight became prisoners in the end even more, so their captain was among them.

Yet the really important thing was Chase a male who was once here.

"A male you say was left with a female from this fort. How interesting to hear, I hope this male is captured as well."

"I apologize to say a few of us went after them, but only two were able to return to report about that."

"Damn that got to suck not able to catch a male," Ivy says disappointed.

"Still there is a chance whoever took him with them couldn't have gotten far, I take it they will most definitely be heading to that town a distance away from this fort we are in."

Those two talking made a point they have already planned to attack a town once they have gathered everything together and are ready.

"Even though they would learn about us taking over the fort meaning they ready themselves for us."

Ivy brings it up, but to her, it wouldn't be much of a problem as she likes challenges.

"If they did it wouldn't mean a thing our forces would outnumber them when attacking, taking over before any chance for reinforcements to save the town."

"Ah, your right about Jacklyn, they will most definitely lose in the end."

Megan says with a smile on her face, imagining the victory already.

"Anyway, time for us to have a chat with the Ex-captain of this fort. I am sure she will have some good information for us to give willingly or unwillingly, it doesn't matter if it is still going to be given."

|At a lake|

"So, what exactly is the plan here for the two of us?"

Chase asked having his back against a tree distance from the lake they came to find in their walks.

Allyson picked herself to go first and took time in the lake water to wash up and made it clear that he had to stay back behind a tree to not look while she did so.

"We survived and sought out a village to stop in to gain some supplies until ready to move again to hit the town that must be warned."
