Tier Up, New Class, New Race

[Eyo, last update almost a week ago. That's bad so I'll gift you with the first chapter of volume 3. Anyway, let's hope volume 3 will be received better than the end portion of 1 and most of 2. Here's the chapter, enjoy.

It has been... a few days? Since I left that hell hole of a laboratory.

I've been quietly travelling around.

Haven't walked into any populated town.

Haven't seen any intelligent living beings living their normal lives in any town or city.

Just walkin'. From place to place you know?

Okay, okay. From one Lab to another Lab.

I've kiiindaa been on a mass genocide streak.

Out of the 28 total labs, I have destroyed 13.

The job goes quick since they didn't specifically do anything to me, I don't have a reason to resort to torture.

Of course, I have also only killed the scientists who work on that sh*t, the guards just give up after a little spook anyway.

The test subjects are a slightly different story. As in I don't care enough to help.

I go, scientists die, Lab destroyed, I leave.

If they aren't brave enough to break a bit of glass or kick down a door to escape it's not my problem. Everyone is a master of their own fate.

Well, I haven't killed Every Single scientist I have met. Some I just locked in cages until they starve! Honestly, they should be thankful I went so easy on them.

Anyway, I found that the Lab I was first brought to was the big bad Main Lab.

Well I say that but I'm guessing here, every single one I've been to is teeny tiny and barely takes up more than half a kilometre of space.

On another note, I found that quite a few labs do blood related experiments too. I found quite a nice stockpile.

If I remember right, they should be [Archangel], [Royal Driad], [Jade Rabbit], [Southern Wind Hydra], [Rainbow Serpent] and [Soul Bender Lich].

How a skeleton aka Lich can have blood? No clue. I just found and took the vial.

The Southern Wind Hydra triggered some memories. It died rather fast when I was fighting it last time. I guess they took it from the corpse?

Anyway, I got some good benefits and skills.

Their rarities are a lot better. But I doubt I'll find any more suitable ones for a while, honestly, I was worried If I could even use the Archangel blood since I had the Fallen version already.

Thankfully the System classifies them as 2 different races so I was all good.

The Soul Evolution from the Royal Driad's Skill was interesting. As in I didn't know what it did. I guess it happened when I slept because I do feel a very slight increase in my mana manipulation. I don't know if any other effects will show up with time.

I have yet to fuze any of my new skills since I'm afraid they may lose some of their effects. They may not but I really don't want to take that chance.

Of course, even if I do I still keep all the bonuses and benefits that these bloodlines bring so either way I'll be fine.

(And so I don't forget, rarities go like this: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Royal, Legendary, Epic, Myth, Unique.)

For now, though I'll keep them as is just in case I find a few skills that can complement my current ones. Fusion would be easier if the skills are similar.

Anyway. I guess we should get to it. Right now... I am torturing a scientist since I found out that there are more labs on different continents.

It seems like he doesn't know so I'll just lock him up forever.

But before I do.

"What different types of blood do you hold?"

Nothing new. He said that those were all the blood types in almost every continent. The good ones that is. Every other one is just barely Uncommon rarity.

I ain't some Uncommon type b*tch.

So I guess I'll need to find quite a few rare and strong beasts.

Walking out of the Lab, Mitsuna blocked the entrance and caved it in.

'I gave the prisoners quite a bit of time to escape, and a giant hole on the other side of this place.'

As Experience flowed from the dying scientists, she got a notification about 4 minutes later.

'Was it late? Or did people finally start starving? I did leave quite a few back at Lab 4.'

Seeing her level go up once more, she wasn't really bothered by the source, because...

"Back at the cap."

Entering a nearby forest, Mitsuna found a lush cave, cleared it of all its inhabitants by using fire and smoke, entered, blocked the entrance with the [Quake] element and started browsing.

'The first two are out. I'm not much of a mage type character, my physical aspects would most likely be diminished if I chose any of them.'

'The opposite for [Speedster] and [Bladed Chimaera], don't think my magic-related stats would compliment them well.'

'[Bloodline Taker] is useless since I already have a skill that does exactly what this class promises.'

'[Great Calamity] and [Myriadblood]. Two choices. [Great Calamity] is just a better version of the regular [Calamity] class which I have a Title of that I should be able to upgrade sooner or later.'

'I could look at their descriptions just in case... Nah, I'm good... and lazy.'

'Anyway, [Myriadblood] is fascinating. It boosts most of the benefits I receive from bloodlines that I have. And I have quite a few. It also makes me more likely to get more than 1 skill from bloodlines. I guess getting more than 1 is rather rare? Last time and when I was born I got quite a few if I remember correctly.'

'I guess I'll go with [Myriadblood]. If it isn't worth it, I can change it during the next Tier Up. If I survive that long of course, heh.'

Making her choice, Mitsuna was wrapped in a silk cocoon as she fell deep asleep.

Mitsuna soon awoke and distributed her free AP into Defence and Vitality since they seemed to be lacking a little.

Her stats had become something closer to the low ends of Tier 5 while she was still in Tier 3 Level 51. Currently, she seemed to be able to hold her own against individuals more than 200 levels stronger than her.

As Mitsuna got out of the cocoon, she realized that she forgot to look at her appearance even once since leaving Lab 1.

Putting on the same clothes she made when she left, she made the hoodie shorter while removing the tank top. Stretching while looking around, she happened to find something she didn't expect.

A goblin was ogling at her.

Silence.

Mitsuna did not know what to think.

'A goblin? I was just naked though. Is the cocoon seethrough? Why didn't it attack when I was Tiering Up? How is it even here when I scorched the cave? Can I even get married now?'

She would have asked a few more questions but the goblin jumped and made its move.

And just like goblins do, it tried to mate.

'Nah. F*ck off.'

Kicking the goblin in the face, and confirming its death by looking at the splattered brain on the wall, Mitsuna was just about to check her looks after a good while with an ice mirror.

Yet before she could...

She felt something bite her thigh.

Looking behind her, she could see another goblin and another and a few more and an extra few hundred.

The bite on her thigh didn't leave much of a scratch as her Defence stat was rather high.

Throwing the biter against the wall, she looked at the hundreds of goblins in front of her in a very different way compared to how they looked at her.

"No thanks, I'm not looking for a boyfriend right now."

Mitsuna said with an awkward smile as she saw what the goblins... 'had'.

Preparing a few spells, she sighed.

'Guess I should have kept the hoodie long and checked for hidden tunnels. Rookie mistake. I just hope I don't get... Ughh. Ew.'

And so a quick fight commenced as Mitsuna had something a lot more precious than her life to lose in this battle.
