1 My quiet life and silent death

"My name is Mizuki. I had a nice and quiet life in a world called Earth."

"There was not much special about me except that I was a bit prettier than most girls. Along with being an albino and being at the top of my class I also inherited quite the sum of money from my parents after their deaths."

"Basically I was a prime target for school girls to take their anger out on. The 'bullying' if you could even call it that did not last long, however."

"At the age of 15, I had made an electric motor the size of a laptop that had 2.2x the efficiency of any other motor."

"At the age of 16, I had memorized most classical songs and how to play them on piano, guitar and violin."

"So it seems my brain really was something special."

"And at the age of 17. When I was playing some classical music that I had just heard online on my balcony with my guitar. I was shot by a sniper."

"I am guessing my aunt paid a hitman or something of the sort."

"I really am not surprised. I had lived a quiet life with not much human interaction except for some of my bodyguards. They were pretty nice. Probably because of the fact that their pay was over 10x higher than minimum wage."

"Anyway, I died. Then it was dark. Only dark."

"Suddenly I woke up from that pitch-black darkness. I could not see much or rather I could not see at all. But I did notice some strange energy like substance flowing around the air."

"I tried to focus on it and poof. I was able to see again. And what I saw was a gigantic plane surrounded by an even more gigantic forest."

"I tried to look at my body and saw something that I would not expect to see even in ten years."

"I saw a blue blob. A slime if you will."

"That was me. It seemed I had been reincarnated as a slime."

The slime named Mizuki was talking to herself while walking around the edge of the forest.

"Sheesh. Only here for 10 minutes and already telling myself my own life story."

"I don't think this is a dream. Seems too real to be one."

"Looks like I've been reincarnated or reborn or something of the sort. Good thing I wasted 2 years playing video games and reading manga or else I would be extremely confused right now."

While thinking to herself, Mizuki had already finished the second lap around the edge of the forest.

Stopping for a moment Mizuki takes a glance at the trees.

"Looking closely at the trees it does not seem that they are big but rather I am small"

A small grumble noise is heard.

"Hungry~"

"Better go find some food."

Mizuki started heading back towards the centre of the plane where she had appeared.

Walking towards the centre she saw a two-tailed silver cat and fox hybrid. It had two silver like cat tails that ended in a light violet and two silver fox ears that ended in the same colour. It seemed to be sleeping.

"I wonder if I'm strong enough to hunt that. Although it is cute. It's survival of the fittest."

Mizuki started to head towards the strange animal.

While sliming around Mizuki had noticed that the grass she walked on was being dissolved. However, the rocks she passed through only slowly lost most of their outer skin. They would be completely dissolved only if she sat on the rock for about 22 seconds.

Coming to a conclusion that slimes can dissolve and eat anything if given enough time she felt confident enough that she could hunt a small cat-sized beast.

"I really hope I don't have to watch it being dissolved. I might just throw up."

Reaching the cute little beast that was still slightly larger than her. Mizuki came in closer and.

Was eaten in a split second.

After some time Mizuki woke up and all she could see is darkness.

"Do not tell me I died again."

The darkness this time was different than before.

"This time I can feel my body. My slime body."

"So I am still alive. That's good. But what are these strange moving walls."

While Mizuki was inspecting the 'walls' closely. Suddenly a dark golden screen popped up in front of her that seemed like a game notification of some sort. This, of course, surprised Mizuki.

"WHAT THE F*CK?!?"

After calming down she read the 'notification'.

After reading the notification she let out a short sigh.

"So there is a system."

Then she panicked.

"WAIT THAT LITTLE S*IT ATE ME?!?"

After panicking for a while she realized that she was completely fine and that this 'Internal organ' that she guessed was a stomach started to get bigger as she slimed around the place.

"Wait. I can dissolve things within my body. And that dumb*ss ate me whole."

A grin appeared on Mizuki's slime.

"It's eat or be eaten and it seems I will be the one eating."

Mizuki started to dissolve the walls of the stomach.

"I was a regular, unpopular otaku back on earth but in this world, I have the potential to become the strongest."

"I had a really boring life. After getting hit by a car I died and got reincarnated here."

"In the morning I noticed a slime coming towards me. Probably thinking that I'm easy prey because I was asleep."

"When the slime was close enough I quickly ate him in a single bite."

"This should get me enough experience to reach Lv 3. My parents never let me hunt because I was still a child. But I am strong. I will grow and destroy those humans who dared to hunt us."
