Clearance

Falling down on her back from her sitting position with a portion of her face, her left leg, right arm and two fingers on her left hand now completely stone. Along with some of her clothes.

Will rushed to Mizuki and placed the gun down.

"Are you good? Alive?"

"I'm just grand. The Sanctuary got cleared so the tower should disappear soon."

"Yeah. Let's get our rewards and get out."

"Mhm. Give me a second."

Pushing herslef to stand, she refused Wills help and hobbled towards the corpse.

Taking out a vial of mana liquid, Mizuki drank it and used the empty vial to store some blood.

A tiny droplet of mana liquid still stuck to the side of the vial where the blood was placed. The blood and pure mana reacted to eachothers presence and the vial turned to a pure black stone.

Looking in the vial, Mizuki noticed that the blood had slightly changed colour to a darker hue.

Placing the vial in her inventory, Mizuki looked towards the dissipating body of the boss.

Once it completely turned to mana, Mizuki started heading back to the roof.

Will followed, not sure what Mizuki had done but still wanting to lend a shoulder to the lass.

"Clearing this place better give us some good rewards."

Back on the roof, Mizuki could see a few dark green glowing fireflies in the air. Taking a step towards one she instantly jumped back as the tip of her foot turned to stone.

'So this is how the beast got that abnormal resistance to stone and the light that turned thiings into stone.'

"Thank the gods we didn't fight on the roof. It is basically her home turf with all those fireflies."

Using the Space element, Mizuki cut all the bugs in half.

'I couldn't really use the Space element effectively against the beast because it is almost impossible to hit with a waty target and no line of sight.'

If Space was going to be cut, there would be a large gathering of mana at the location of the cut before it could activate. If someone was proficient in measuring the surrounding mana and its flow, they could dodge it if they really tried.

When the last of the bugs fell and dissipated, Mizuki, Will and the rest of the people who participated in the raid received a notification.

Teleporting from floor to floor, Mizuki soon emerged from the entrance and teleported back to her ship.

She headed straight back to her quarters while ignoring the questions of her crew and the yells of the surrounding mercenaries and the like who had just prepared to enter the place.

She didn't notice at the time but a ship belonging to the hero had just taken off. With an enraged hero on it to boot.

Sitting down on her bed, Mizuki looked at her injuries.

First she took off her clothes that were torn to shreds and stone.

She looked at her petrified body parts and crushed them.

Ignoring the pain, Mizuki removed all the stone from her party and placed the injuries in a cast of ice.

Laying down to sleep, she hoped that the crew could handle the ship and bring it to a less.. populated place.

Right before falling asleep, Mizuki took out a vial of mana liquid and the vial of blood.

Using [Bloodline Infusion] and drinking the vial of mana liquid, she ignored the notifications and just muttered 'yes'.

...

Shigoto, Will and Natyr had realized that the captain was resting and placed a few safety measures on her door while she was out.

Meanwhile Mizuki was undergoing another change in her body and growing even stronger.

And while she was sleeping and 'growing' her crew decided to throw a party.

"If the captain finds out about this, we will all get thrown in the brig you know." Natyr said while sipping on a drink.

"Yes?" Will suddenly interrupted.

"No no. I didn't call you."

"Aighty. Enjoy your talk." Will said as he walked away with a wave.

"He seems weirdly energetic and care free." Natyr commented as she kept talking to Shigoto.

"It might look like thatbut I think he is the one most worried about the captain. She has been out for 3 or so days already right?"

"Yeah. But she'll be fine. She always is. Anyway, where is our montly pay anyway."

"Monthly pay?" Shigoto asked.

"We get a platinum coin every month as we are part of this crew."

"Pfffttt!" Shigoto spit out his drink.

"You get one a month?! I got 20 to join the crew but there wasn't any talk about monthly payment!"

"20?! Aren't you the lucky one here?"

"No, no, no! One a month. You can get more rich than emperors in only a few years if you get a platinum every month!"

While Shigoto and Natyr suddenly starting their talk about money and future prospects, they faoled to realize a child sneaking their way in to Mizukis quarters through the side windows.

...

"It's easy. Just take the knife, sneak in, kill the lady and you'll be free."

"And my family?"

"Will be let go. Come on. I know you can handle it."

"That lady cleared the Sanctuary right?"

"Bah! She just had a lot of help. Besides. She is heavily injured and resting right now."

"...fine."

Holding the knife, the kid left the ship he was on and headed towards Mizukis little party boat.

Meanwhile..

Mizuki had finally succeeded in fully infusing with the blood.
