A Monster Capable of Destroying the World

On the way to the final floor or rather the roof of this Sanctuary, Mizuki and Will had enjoyed some pleasant converstion.

Sorry, what I meant was: Will had enjoyed some pleasant conversation.

Simple questions like 'What have you been up to?' or 'Why did you decide on becoming a pirate again?' or 'Are you sure that treating the blokes you call your crew this way is okay?' and even 'Are you certain that you are not experiencing a sort of memory loss?'.

..Ok maybe the questions got a little complex near the end of the 4th floor, not that Mizuki even awnsered them with anything exept for 'Focus.' or 'Shut up and let me focus.'.

Yet the pleasant chatter stopped the moment they neared the roof. The pressure. Was immense.

They walked onto the roof and saw the source of that pressure.

A girl. About 140cm, pale white skin, long dark green hair reaching the ground, barely any bust to speak of and the corpse of a firefly infront of her.

She was just crouching down, munching away.

Will was just about to take a step forward, most likely to try and speak to her.

Mizuki, on the other hand appraised the girl and the moment she did she grabbed Will by the arm and pulled heavily.

The sudden movement behind her shocked the girl as she turned her head around, fast.

Her eyes, had dark green pupils and irises belonging to a snake.

The reason why etchings of gates made of stone bones were on the walls of the sanctuary was clear now along with the purpose of the fireflies.

Mizuki quickly erected a wall of stone only fro it to be broken down instantly, looking towards the 'girl' Mizuki made the mistake of making eye contact.

Feeling a sudden pain in her eyes, Mizuki blocked their line of sight with another wall, this time made of ice. Yet the girl just looked through it.

Mizuki then made a wall of fire. Yet the girl just looked through it. Smiling.

Will then usecast a debuff on the girl the moment she blinked, slowing her down.

"O-onee-san! Are you okay."

'We need to find a way to block the line of sight between us.'

"I'm fine. Let me think."

'It seems that elements don't work. Our best bet is to remove her eyes.'

"Cover me." Mizuki said before teleporting above the beast hiding in a girls' skin.

'She can't detect movements in the air or space or she would have reacted by now, even if slowly.'

Teleporting behind the beast she took out a knife and cut the girls eyes while they were closed.

Although Mizuki managed to cut her eyelids, something unexpected happened.

Her knife turned to stone the moment the eyelids were pierced.

'I just made it worse for us.' Mizuki realized as now the girl could see even if her eyes were closed, although barely.

With the remaining time she had left before Wills' debiff wore off, Mizuki used her skill combination of [Words of the World] and [Siren Voice].

"<Blind>"

And then created a magic circle of light and space to create a reflectory icosahedron around the girl.

'This should give us some time.'

Teleporting back to Will, Mizuki spoke.

"Any ideas on how to kill it?"

"...No." Will said with a frown.

Looking at Will and sighing, Mizuki said.

"It might look human but it is not. Remember that."

"Right."

"The best option we have is to blind it completely and attack without being seen."

"How do we do that?"

"We have some time to thin-"

*Shatter*

Mizukis' spell shattered. But not like a regular spell would shatter. It turned to stone and fell to the ground.

'It can turn magic circles into stone?!'

"This is bad."

The beast then opened her palms and let out a light green light that slowly got brighter.

Feeling her instincts scream at the top of their lungs, Mizuki yelle.

"Block or dodge!"

Using the space element to phase through the ground, Mizuki saw Will using the same idea with shadows. They appeared at the lower floor as Mizuki saw how Will barely got away with his life, his leg now stone.

"We need time to think.."

"I don't think it will give us the plea-"

A light giggle was heard from above the stairs along with light footsteps pitter pattering towards their location.

"Hide."

Mizuki jumoed behind the nearest tree while grabbing her new and improved gun out of her storage.

Flicking it to the side, the cylinder floated next to the gun, being held in place by a stream of lightning that went through it's middle.

Checking the currently installed bullets, she took out a throwable dagger she made back at the ship and along with a vial of condensed mana liquid she teleported the items to Will.

Pulling the first trigger on her gun and waiting for it to drain as much mana as it could she peeked behind the tree and aimed her gun.

A black flame was floating right infront of that giggling beasts' head.

'This beast is way too dangerous. Honestly if it goes through one more tier up it could destroy the world easily.'

With a sufficient amount of mana getting poured into the gun, Mizuki was ready to release the trigger at at any moment.
