Even though I had been preparing myself to hear this from Prince Silas, it still brought a huge ache to my heart. Jake had no part in all of this, but he had been dragged into it by the Vidin King because he was my family. 

"How do I get to Vidin as soon as possible?" I asked Prince Silas all of a sudden and I only got back a silence from him. "Hey? Are you there?" I called out when I heard rumbling coming from his side. 

"What did you say?" He spoke after a few minutes when the call stabilized again. 

"I said, how do I get to Vidin as soon as possible?" I asked again, and he replied.

"Why?" He asked and my brows creased in confusion. What did he mean by why? My younger brother was being held hostage by his father!
